Raptors vs Pelicans Player Prop Bets – Brandon Ingram Over 23.5 Points (-110)

Brandon Ingram is the team’s second-best scorer with 21.4 ppg this season, but he is surely the most versatile and consistent player on the team. He missed just four games and usually steps up when other key players are missing. With both Zion Williamson and Herbert Jones questionable to play against the Raptors, I think Ingram will lead the Pels on offense again.

In three of the last four games, Ingram scored 24+ points. His usage could rise against Toronto if Williamson or Jones (or both) don’t play, so I am backing him to score at least 24 points. The Raptors allow 22.8 ppg to the opposing shooting guards. Ingram has a height advantage over Gary Trent Jr, who will be his direct matchup.

The Raptors’ defense has been struggling and allowing a lot of points lately. In four of the previous five games, Toronto allowed 126+ points.

Jonas Valanciunas To Record a Double-Double (-130)

For the second pick in the Raptors vs Pelicans Player Prop Bets, we have another Pelican, who is a former Raptor. Jonas Valanciunas averages 14.2 ppg and 9.7 rpg in 26.3 minutes per game this season. He registered a double-double in four of the previous seven games, while in two of the three he failed to do so, Jonas grabbed nine boards.

I am backing him to get one more tonight because he loves to play against Toronto. In seven games against his former team, Valanciunas averaged 15.9 ppg and 14.6 rpg, the best rebounding record against any team in the NBA! Given that the Raptors allow 23.2 ppg and 14.9 rpg to the opposing centers this season, Valanciunas shouldn’t have problems of registering a DD.

If Williamson misses tonight’s tilt, Valanciunas could see more minutes on the floor. That would be a chance for him to log 30+ minutes, and when he plays 30+ minutes, Jonas is a double-double machine.

For the first NBA prop picks on Wednesday, January 31, we have the Pelicans vs Rockets Player Prop Bets. The New Orleans Pelicans travel to Texas hoping to avoid the fourth straight loss, while the Houston Rockets look for the third consecutive H2H win.

Pelicans vs Rockets Player Prop Bets – Brandon Ingram Over 20.5 Points (-127)

Brandon Ingram averages 21.4 ppg (2nd on the Pelicans) in 33.0 mpg (1st) this season. He scored 26+ points in three of the previous six games. The last time he met the Rockets, Ingram took only 12 shots and finished with 19 points. However, in the first H2H of the season, Ingram dropped 31 points.

He usually plays well against Houston; in 22 career games against them, Ingram is averaging 22.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg, and 4.1 apg. The Rockets allow 21.7 ppg to the opposing shooting guards, and considering he has the height advantage over his guardian Jalen Green, I am backing Ingram to exploit it.

Also, Green is not known as a good defender, so Brandon shouldn’t have problems scoring 21+ points here. Ingram will probably log 33+ minutes tonight, which should be enough for this pick to hit. He took 18+ shots in four of the past six outings.

Alperen Sengun To Record a Double-Double (-139)

Alperen Sengun is the Rockets’ best player as he’s having the season of his career. The Turkish wonderkid averages 21.9 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 5.1 apg, 1.2 spg, and 0.7 bpg, and has been an excellent option on offense for Houston recently. In three of the last six games, Sengun scored 30+ points, while in six of the previous seven, he recorded a double-double.

In the latest H2H against New Orleans, Sengun dominated with 37 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists. Even four of those rebounds came on the offensive glass. Sengun registered 3+ offensive boards in six of the last eight games, while in two H2Hs this season, he collected eight in total.

Jonas Valanciunas is a good defender, but Sengun is younger and more talented, and I am sure he will register a DD tonight. New Orleans allows 22.1 ppg and 14.7 rpg to the opposing centers this year.

For the second NBA prop picks on Monday, January 29, we have the Pelicans vs Celtics Player Prop Bets. The New Orleans Pelicans visit the C’s with hopes of avoiding the third loss in a row, while the Boston Celtics are looking to avoid the third consecutive home defeat.

Pelicans vs Celtics Player Prop Bets – Jayson Tatum Over 37.5 Points and Rebounds (-114)

Jayson Tatum has been in a hot and cold form recently when it comes to scoring. The point total on him is 28.5 for this game, and although I expect him to go near 30 points, I opted for Points and Rebounds. Tatum failed to score 29+ in eight of the previous nine games. He did record 11+ rebounds in three of the last seven and had at least seven boards in six games during that stretch.

I believe Tatum will eclipse a 30-point mark and grab around ten rebounds, especially if Kristaps Porzingis (GTD) and Al Horford (GTD) miss today’s game. New Orleans allows 10.5 rpg to the opposing power forwards, although the Pelicans allow just 22.1 ppg to the PFs.

The last two games were blowouts; the Celtics first destroyed the Heat and then lost to the Clippers, so Tatum didn’t log plenty of minutes. I think this one will be a tight affair, so I expect him to be on the floor for around 40 minutes.

Brandon Ingram Over 24.5 Points and Assists (-110)

Brandon Ingram is the team’s second top-scorer with 21.3 ppg, but he receives a team-high 33.0 minutes per game this season. He is the top assist-maker with 5.6 apg. What concerns me most about this pick is the fact that the Pelicans are very inconsistent. They either win big or lose big, and that was the case in the last several weeks.

I do think this game will be a tighter one. Minutes for Ingram here will be crucial for the bet. He did score 26 points in the last game but managed to score 20+ in just two of the previous 12. The Celtics allow 20.9 ppg to the opposing shooting guards and have the fourth-best defense in the NBA that allows 110.7 ppg.

Still, I believe Ingram can score 20 points for around 33 minutes on the floor. In four of the past five games, Ingram dished out 6+ assists. We need 25 combined PTS and AST from him to win this pick in the Pelicans vs Celtics Player Prop Bets.
