Jalen Rucker leads the team with 17.8 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 3.1 APG, and 1.6 SPG. Josh Scovens follows him with 15.4 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 1.0 SPG, and a team-high 1.3 BPG, while Ryan Curry chips in 12.4 PPG, 4.4 RPG, team-high 3.5 APG, and 1.0 SPG.

Florida Gulf Coast Eagles Betting Preview

The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles (18-14, 16-15 ATS) unlike Army, finished the regular season on a high note with four straight victories to secure the No. 3 seed for the ASUN tournament. However, the Eagles didn’t go far as Queens was better 71-65 in the quarterfinals. Florida Gulf Coast joined the CBI in the quarterfinals, so this will be its first game at the tournament.

Florida Gulf Coast is averaging 72.5 PPG (228th) and is allowing 69.8 PPG (107th). The Eagles are getting 35.2 RPG (213th) and dish out 14.1 APG (158th). Dallion Johnson is the team’s top performer with 14.9 PPG and 2.4 RPG. Keeshawn Kellman has 13.9 PPG, a team-high 7.6 RPG, and a team-high 1.2 BPG, while Zavian McLean contributes 11.6 PPG, 4.2 RPG, and 1.0 SPG.

Why Army will cover

• Florida Gulf Coast has lost five of its last six games against non-AP-ranked opponents at a neutral venue.

These teams have met on two occasions before and the series is tied at 1-1, but the previous meeting was way back in 2008. Florida Gulf Coast practically plays on a home court as this one will take place in Daytona Beach, and I think the Eagles will geta win here. However, I don’t like the spread, so I am going to back Army to cover it. FGCU failed to cover the spread in five of its previous seven games. The Black Knights weren’t great when covering the spread lately, but at least they are in a bit of rhythm after playing at this tournament.

Both of these teams come into this matchup looking to snap a four game losing streak and they have very similar records on the season. Army has really struggled defensively in recent games, as they have allowed 81+ points in four straight games. Elon has the better defensive numbers on the season, but they have allowed 79+ points in three of their last four. Neither team is playing very well right now, but I think I trust Elon’s offense more right now. The Army Black Knights are coming off losses to Bucknell, Lafayette, and Lehigh. Army has lost four of its last five games and has given up 80-plus points in three straight games.

The Army Black Knights are averaging 73.8 points on 44.4 percent shooting and allowing 74.8 points on 45.6 percent shooting. Jalen Rucker is averaging 17.7 points and 3.1 assists, while Josh Scovens is averaging 16 points and 4.4 rebounds. Ryan Curry is the third double-digit scorer, and AJ Allenspach is grabbing 7.2 rebounds. The Army Black Knights are shooting 32 percent from beyond the arc and 68.6 percent from the free throw line. The Army Black Knights are allowing 33.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 31.5 rebounds per game.

Colgate Raiders Betting Preview

The Colgate Raiders recently beat Holy Cross and lost to American. Colgate is 4-7 since starting the season with a 9-11 record.

Colgate should be favored, as it’s been the better team this season overall, but this line is thick for a team that’s lost seven of its last 11 games. Colgate is also 12-18 ATS on the season. Army also beat Colgate a little over a month ago as a 5.5-point underdog, scoring 84 points in the process on 52 percent shooting from the field. Army has had major defensive issues lately, allowing 80-plus points in its last three games, so the over will be worth a look as well. Still, I’m not laying this many points with a Colgate team that’s five games below a .500 record. The underdog has covered four of its last seven games between Colgate and Army. Give me Army and the points in the quarterfinal.

Navy Midshipmen Betting Preview

There aren’t a lot of positives to list for Navy at this point in the 2024-25 season. The Midshipmen have just two instances of consecutive wins, and otherwise, it’s been a long string of losses. During their ugly 3-10 start, the Midshipmen beat only Harvard, Washington MD, and Penn. Otherwise, it was losses to St Joseph’s, Rider, Campbell, Quinnipiac, Elon, Maine, NJIT, Virginia Tech, Coppin State, and William & Mary in that time. After two more wins over American U and Lafayette, Navy hit losses to Holy Cross, Loyola MD, Colgate, and Bucknell in the next four games before stopping the bleeding with a win over Boston U. The result so far has been a 6-14 run through the first 20 games of the season for the Midshipmen.

In the Boston U matchup back on Wednesday, the Midshipmen came out of the break looking up at a 33-19 advantage on the scoreboard. Navy was able to keep it going from there on a 29-28 advantage, eventually powering out the win 62-47. Leading the team in scoring was Austin Benigni with 21 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Both Jordan Pennick and Jinwoo Kim added 13 points apiece, combining for four assists as well.

Army Black Knights Betting Preview

Over on the Army side, they’ve had a pretty wild season so far. The Knights opened on a decent run, then hit the skids in December/January before recovering over the last five games. Army kicked things off with a 5-3 stretch featuring wins over Albany, Mount Saint Mary NY, Fairleigh Dickinson, SUNY Maritime, and Le Moyne (with losses otherwise versus Duke, Marist, and Manhattan). A 1-5 run came next, featuring losses to Cornell, George Washington, Binghamton, Colgate, and Boston U alongside a lone win over UTSA. Army is 5-0 in their last quintet, though. Those victories have come versus Loyola Maryland, Lehigh, Lafayette, Boston U, and Holy Cross, giving the Black Knights an 11-8 overall run through the first 21 outings.

Matched up against Holy Cross in their Wednesday outing, the Knights came out of the locker room with a 35-29 advantage. Army was outscored 42-41 the rest of the way but held on for the win 76-71 in the end. Tops in scoring was Josh Scovens with his 25 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Ryan Curry added 24 points with six rebounds and four assists, while Blake Barker doubled up on 11 points and 12 rebounds in 37 minutes of work.

Army vs Navy Prediction

I’ll have to stay with Army. The Knights are coming off a good win over a middling Holy Cross team, shooting 47.6 percent from the field with a 36-35 rebounding edge and 12 team assists. Army scored 20 points off 14 Crusaders turnovers, which really helped pace the victory. During this current five-game win streak Army has posted 68 or more points in every outing and 74 or more in three of them. They’ll have plenty of offensive firepower to use on Navy.

Speaking of Navy, they finally put together a decent performance in their last game versus a 9-11 Boston U squad. The Midshipmen posted 43.9 percent from the field in that one, along with a 35-29 rebounding advantage. There were still plenty of flaws though. Navy had 16 turnovers for 15 Terriers points and missed six of their 23 free throws (73.9 percent). Still, it was a much-needed win. Unfortunately for Navy, Army is going to serve as a much tougher opponent. The Midshipmen have been below 70 points in four of the last five games so I don’t think they’ve got the gas to keep pace in this one.

Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Betting Preview

The Bulldogs’ spot in this bowl game was initially occupied by Marshall, but the Herd had to back out due to significant losses suffered via the transfer portal. In any case, Louisiana Tech went 5-7 this year but has won two of the last three. The Bulldogs beat Western Kentucky and Kennesaw State during that trio.

On November 30 versus the Owls, Louisiana Tech jumped out to a 17-0 halftime lead and scored in every quarter during a 33-0 blowout win. Evan Bullock threw for 230 yards, but the real offensive star was Omiri Wiggins with 17 carries for 129 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

Over on the Army side, they took out Lehigh, Florida Atlantic, Rice, Temple, Tulsa, UAB, East Carolina, Air Force, and North Texas in their first nine before a loss to Notre Dame. The Knights bounced back with wins over UTSA and Tulane before another loss to Navy.

In the December 14 matchup with Navy, the Knights were out of sorts and had trouble running the ball. Army gave up points in every quarter on defense and ended up falling 31-13. Bryson Daily threw for just 65 yards with one TD and three picks. Kanye Udoh led the running game with just 53 yards.

Army vs LA Tech Prediction

I’m going to stay with Army. The Knights are coming off an embarrassing showing versus a very good Navy team, notching just 179 total yards (114 rushing), 13 first downs and three turnovers (all picks). It was an uncharacteristic outing for Army, who averages 32 points per game and 298.9 rush yards per game (accounting for 44 touchdowns) this season. The Knights’ style of play flummoxes most teams, but those defesnes that are equipped to deal with the onslaught can stop Army in their tracks.

As for Louisiana Tech, they’re obviously just happy to be here. The Bulldogs are in a bowl after just five wins this year—one of which came against a 2-10 Kennesaw State team in the regular-season finale. Louisiana Tech likely doesn’t have the personnel or the scheme to deal with Army, so they’ll have to rely on an epic defensive stand in order to keep the Knights’ score manageable enough for a Bulldogs offense that averages just 22.2 points per game to follow along. That’s a tall order, so I’m taking the Knights in this one.

Army Black Knights Betting Preview

Army posted a .500 run through their first six games this year, taking losses to Duke, Marist, and Manhattan along the way. After consecutive wins over SUNY-Maritime and Le Moyne, the Knights fell into the loss column again versus Cornell.

In the Cornell game on Sunday, the Knights were looking at a 49-32 deficit by halftime. Army kept the pace well from there but still lost big 103-84. Both Josh Scovens and Jalen Rucker scored a team-high 17 points while AJ Allenspach doubled on 12 points and 11 boards. Army will face Binghamton, UTSA, Colgate, and Boston U following this one. 

George Washington Revolutionaries Betting Preview

Over on the George Washington side, they lost just one of their first eight games, beating Mercyhurst. Hampton, NC A&T, NJIT, Louisiana, Illinois State, and VMI. Game nine was a tough overtime loss to American, however.

In their matchup versus Old Dominion last weekend, the Revolutionaries got back into the win column. George Washington scored 34 in the first half and 44 in the second for a 78-70 win. Christian Jones led the team off the bench with 17 points and three rebounds.

Why the George Washington Revolutionaries will win

• George Washington has won each of its last 14 games against non-conference opponents at Charles E. Smith Center.
• Army has lost each of its last four away games when playing with a rest disadvantage.
• George Washington has won the first half in each of its last nine Friday night home games against non-conference opponents.

Why the Army Black Knights will win

• George Washington has lost four of its last five games against the Patriot League.
• Army has won four of its last five night games following a home loss.
• George Washington has lost the first half in six of its last eight games against the Patriot League.

George Washington vs Army Prediction

I’m likely staying with George Washington. The Revolutionaries were able to keep a struggling Old Dominion team in check over the weekend, hitting 46.9 percent from the field with 18 points off 14 Monarchs turnovers. GW does have a few things to clean up though: namely the 23-of-37 (62.2 percent) from the line, the 12 turnovers, and the 40-36 rebounding deficit. That said, George Washington has scored 71 or more points in all 10 games so far and should notch a solid total here as well.

As for Army, they gave up 55.9 percent shooting to Cornell in their last outing and simply couldn’t keep pace. The Knights are scoring very well lately also, with 79 or more points in seven straight. I like a high total here with the Revolutionaries powering it out.

Can Tulane Get the Last Loss Out of Their Head?

The big question for Tulane is how they get the last loss out of their mind and try to refocus on this game. Tulane in the last game faced off against Memphis and the defense just didn’t make enough stops. Tulane scored 14 points in the 4th quarter, but it wasn’t enough and they ended up losing 34-24. Darian Mensah completed 21 of his 33 passes for 317 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The defense especially struggled to slow down the run letting him run for 177 yards and one touchdown. 

Tulane on the season is averaging 39.1 points while their defense is giving up 18.4 points per game. The offense is ranked 6th in the league while the defense is ranked 15th. In this game of course the biggest goal is going to be to slow down the triple option of Army. 

Army Just Keeps Winning

Army’s only loss came against Notre Dame earlier this season, but outside of that, they have found a ton of success. In the last game against UTSA, Army didn’t play their best game, but they were able to secure a 29-24 victory. Quarterback Bryson Daily completed 10 of his 17 passes for 190 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. He also rushed 27 times for 142 yards and two touchdowns. Daily has been impressive, and they are going to need him to have a huge game here. Army on the season is averaging 32.7 points while their defense is giving up 15.1 points per game. The offense is ranked 31st in the league while the defense is ranked 8th. On the season, Daily has rushed 240 times for 1,348 yards and 25 touchdowns. 

Army vs Tulane Prediction

Army should not be underdogs in this game. Tulane is going to struggle to get the offense going against a very good defense, and their defense is going to struggle to find a way to slow down the run. Daily is having a huge season and he’s going to put on a show here. Look for Army’s offense to get out to a fast start, and that is going to be the difference here as the Black Knights get the job done. Back Army against the spread.

UTSA Roadrunners Betting Preview

The Roadrunners got off to a rough 2-4 start this year with losses to Texas State, Texas, East Carolina, and Rice. UTSA would go 3-1 over the next four though, taking out Florida Atlantic, Memphis, and North Texas along the way.

Back on Friday versus Temple, UTSA scored double-digit points in the final three quarters along the way to a 51-27 win. Owen McCown threw for 220 yards, one TD, and two interceptions. Leading rusher Robert Henry added 16 carries for 178 yards and two scores.

Over on the Army side, they’ve been strong this year. The Knights beat Lehigh, FAU, Rice, Temple, Tulsa, UAB, East Carolina, Air Force, and North Texas over their first nine outing of the season. Army earned a No. 18 national ranking in the meantime.

Matched up against Notre Dame on Saturday, the Knights duffed their much-anticipated showdown. Army gave up 14 points in each of the first three quarters during a 49-14 blowout. Bryson Daily threw for 26 yards and also led the rush on 39 carries for 139 yards and two scores.

I’ll go with Army. The Knights have to shake off that rough loss to Notre Dame over the weekend, though. Army was muffled on 233 total yards (26 passing), 15 first downs, and 3.5 yards per play in that one. Conversely, the Knights gave up 462 yards (273 passing) and 9.8 yards per play on the other side. That’s fewer than 21 points in three straight games for Army, so they’ve got to right the proverbial ship.

As for UTSA, they didn’t have much issue with Temple on 529 yards (220 passing) and 8.0 yards per play. The Roadrunners had three turnovers, nine penalties, and 3-of-13 on third downs though, so it wasn’t the greatest win in the world. UTSA has 38 or more points in five straight games themselves, so Army certainly has their work cut out for them on both sides of the ball. I like the Knights to rally and pull off the cover, though.

Army Black Knights Betting Preview

The Knights have rolled through their schedule so far, notching nine straight wins. Those victories have come versus Lehigh, Florida Atlantic, Rice, Temple, Tulsa, UAB, East Carolina, Air Force, and North Texas in succession.

On November 9 in the North Texas game, the Knights scored seven in the first and last quarters for a 14-3 win. Bryson Daily had an interception with 135 rush yards and two scores on 36 carries. Kanye Udoh added 13 totes for 65 yards.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish Betting Preview

Over on the Notre Dame side, they lost to NIU 16-14 in their second game. Otherwise, it was wins over Texas A&M, Purdue, Miami-OH, Louisville, Stanford, Georgia Tech, Navy, and Florida State in their first nine outings.

Matched up against Virginia on Saturday, the Irish took a 28-0 edge into the second half in an eventual 35-14 victory. Riley Leonard put up 214 yards with three scores and an interception, but Jeremiyah Love did a significant amount of work as well with 16 carries for 137 yards and two TDs.

Notre Dame vs Army Prediction

I might take a stab on Army here. This will be the Knights’ toughest challenge of the year, so the extra rest and prep time will be invaluable. Army did their usual thing against North Texas in their last outing, posting 293 rush yards and a whopping 41:37 in time of possession. The defense posted 283 yards (69 rushing), 18 first downs, and 4-of-11 on third downs allowed alongside two interceptions. The Knights had a couple of turnovers along the way, which will be a big no-no against the Irish.

Speaking of Notre Dame, on Saturday they posted a pretty solid all-around victory versus a middling Virginia team, despite nine penalties, two turnovers, and an ugly 1-of-12 on third-down tries. The defense saved things with five takeaways and 4.4 yards per play allowed, though. That unit will have its hands full with the Army on Saturday, which should make for a fun, old-school smashmouth matchup. It’ll be a good one to watch.

Blackhawks Look to Bounce Back

The Blackhawks have been inconsistent at best this season and they are coming off another loss. The Blackhawks only scored one goal against the Seattle Kraken and they ended up losing by two goals. Ryan Donato scored a goal but it wasn’t enough. Petr Mrazek saved 23 of the 25 shots that he faced. Chicago has scored an average of 2.5 goals per game so far this season. They are ranked 26th from an offensive standpoint. Defensively, they have allowed for 3.1 goals per game. This puts their defense in 13th place in the NHL. In this game, the Blackhawks are going to need to find a way to get the offense going. 

Canucks Coming off a Disappointing Loss

The Canucks are coming off a disappointing loss in the last game. The Canucks scored two goals against the New York Islanders, but the defense gave up five goals, and that led to the defeat. Kevin Lankien was in goal and he wasn’t good enough saving 27 of his 31 shots on goal. Vancouver’s offense has been averaging 3.2 goals per game so far this year. This puts them in 13th place compared to other teams in the NHL, offensively. Defensively, they have allowed for 3.1 goals per game, ranking them 16th place. In this game, the Canucks are going to need to find a way to get the offense going. The Canucks will take on the Predators, Rangers, and Senators after this one.

This game is going to be lower-scoring. I am not sold on the Blackhawks offense and they are averaging only 2.5 goals per game. The Cnauucks offense has been better but they don’t need to run up the score to find success in this game. This feels like a 2-0 game, but the Canucks might score three goals. The Blackhawks aren’t going to score more than a goal and this game will stay under the total.

Army Black Knights Betting Preview

Last year the Knights posted a rough 10-22 overall record and a 6-12 result in the Patriot League. Army finished ahead of only Holy Cross and Loyola in the standings. Their final game was a first-round loss to Holy Cross in the Patriot League Tournament.

In their first action of the season versus Albany, the Knights went into halftime with a three-point lead. Army scored 40 more points from there in a 67-59 win. Josh Scovens led the way with 22 points and five boards, while Jalen Rucker added 12 points and six rebounds.

Duke Blue Devils Betting Preview

Over on the Duke side, they finished 27-9 last year with a 15-5 run in ACC games. Duke landed behind only North Carolina in the standings but fell to NC State quickly in the conference tourney. Duke rebounded to make it to the Elite Eight (where they lost again to NC State) in the national tourney.

The Blue Devils didn’t have any issues versus Maine on Monday in their opener. Duke came out of the break with a 44-33 edge and hit a 52-29 run from there for a win 96-62. Kon Knueppel led the team on 22 points. Cooper Flagg added 18 points, seven boards and five assists.

I might take a stab on Army here. The Knights didn’t face the most stout competition in their opener versus Albany, but they got the job done handily. Army shot 44 percent from the field with a tepid 5-of-17 (29.4 percent) from outside and 64.3 percent (18-of-28) from the line. The Knights gathered 41 rebounds but also coughed up 13 turnovers. There’s plenty to clean up, but also a lot to build on.

As for Duke, they drilled Maine in their opener with 55.6 percent shooting from the field and a 40-27 rebounding edge. The Devils moved the ball around well with 17 team assists in a nice overall win. Duke should still be in control here also, but I think the Knights can hang around cover-wise if they play well.

Army Stays Perfect

Army has had a perfect to start the season and they come into this game with an 8-0 record overall. In the last game, Army’s offense was without their starting quarterback and they were able to secure the 20-3 victory over Air Force. Dewayne Coleman started at quarterback and he completed 5 of his 8 passes for 48 yards. He also rushed 16 times for 42 yards. Kanye Udoh was the star of the show on the ground finishing with 22 carries for 158 yards and two touchdowns. 

Army on the season is averaging 37.8 points while their defense is giving up 11.3 points per game. The offense is ranked 14th in the league while the defense is ranked 1st. Bryson Daily missed the last game, but he’s probably heading into this game. 

Can North Texas Defense Be Better?

North Texas has been scoring well heading into this game but their defense has been a problem and that has led to two straight losses. In the last game against Tulane, North Texas scored 37 points, but the defense gave up 45 points, and they ended up losing. Chandler Morris completed 38 of his 57 passes for 449 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions. The defense however was awful, and if the defense isn’t better, they are going to struggle here. 

North Texas is averaging 40.8 points while their defense is giving up 36.8 points per game. The offense is ranked 6th in the league while the defense is ranked 128th. The good news for the North Texas defense is they had two weeks to prepare for the triple option.

The Blazers have gone 37.1% on third down and 7-14 on fourth down through five games. Jacob Zeno is battling an injury, so we will see Jalen Kitna under center if he is still hurt.

Army Black Knights Betting Preview

Army is off to a nice 4-0 start this year. The Knights’ opener was a 42-7 blowout victory versus an overmatched Lehigh team, then came a 24-7 win over Florida Atlantic. Army would keep it going with a 37-14 win over Rice on September 21.

Last Thursday against Temple, Army kept their run going with another big victory. The Knights scored 28 points in the second half on the way to a 42-14 win. QB Bryson Daily rushed 24 times for 152 yards and three scores. Kanye Udoh added 128 rush yards and a TD of his own.

Tulsa Golden Hurricane Betting Preview

Over on the Tulsa side, they kicked things off with a 62-28 blowout win over Northwestern State. The next two games were both losses though, a 28-24 affair versus Arkansas State and a 45-10 loss to Oklahoma State. Next came a tight OT win over LA Tech 23-20.

Last weekend versus North Texas, the Hurricane coughed up 24 points in the second quarter alone on the way to a 52-20 loss. QB Kirk Francis posted 101 yards with a pair of picks. Bill Jackson was the lead rusher on 77 yards from 16 carries.

I’ll probably lean toward Army. The Knights’ one-sided offensive attack may not make a whole lot of sense on paper but you can’t argue with the results thus far. Army hung 489 total yards on Temple in their last outing, with 417 of those coming on the ground. Defensively, the Knights held the Owls to just 219 total yards (224 passing), 4.2 yards per play, and 12 first downs.

As for Tulsa, last weekend they gave up a whopping 618 yards (439 passing) and 10.3 yards per play to North Texas. The good news is that the Hurricane posted 229 rush yards and 27 first downs, but they had little hope of keeping pace on the scoreboard. I don’t think they’ll quite get it here either.

Cowboys Giants Under 45 -110 / Army Temple Under 46 -110 // $10 bet pays $26.45

The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants are going to be involved in a lower scoring game. The Giants defense really impressed me in the last game, giving up only 15 points to the Cleveland Browns, and they are going to step up again. I still don’t trust Daniel Jones, and he’s going to really struggle to get the ball moving here. The Giants and Cowboys are both going to struggle to move the ball, and this game is going to end up staying under the total. Look for only 37 or 38 points to be scored. 

This total is going to come down to how many points Army Black Knights scores, because they know they are going to lock down the Temple Owls offense. Army two games ago against Florida Atlantic only gave up seven points, and it’s going to be much of the same here. The lack of scoring by Temple is going to be the difference here, as this game is going to be lower scoring. Back the under to cash. 

Giants +6 -110 / Army -13 -110 // $10 bet pays $26.45

The stronger play is with the first parlay, but I do expect the Giants are going to find a way to keep this game close. Dak Prescott has one of the worst contracts in football, and last week he showed why you really can’t trust him. He threw for 379 yards, but a ton of those were during garbage time. He’s not going to be as good here, and the Giants will keep it close. 

This Temple offense is so bad and that is going to be the difference here as the Black Knights are going to get the job done. Against Navy earlier in the season, Temple only scored 11 points, and they are going to go even lower than that here. Back Army against the spread.

The Temple Owls are 1-3 (0-1) this season after they defeated Utah State by a score of 45-29 in their last game. Temple trailed 14-0 early and 21-17 at halftime, but they scored 28 points in the second half for the win. The Owls were outgained by a total of 479-451, won the turnover battle 1-0, and went 10-16 on third down in the game. Evan Simon threw for 271 yards and five touchdowns, while also rushing for 49 yards and one score on 11 carries. 

Temple lost the first three games of the season against Oklahoma, Navy, and Coastal Carolina, as they allowed 51, 38, and 28 points in the three games. The Temple offense has scored 19.8 points per game with 215.3 passing yards and 103.3 rushing yards per game, while the defense has scored 36.5 points per game this season. The Owls have gone 41.4% on third down and 4-7 on fourth down through four games. Evan Simon has completed 65.4% of his passes for 456 yards, seven touchdowns, and one interception, while Dante Wright has caught 26 passes for 352 yards and three scores.

Army led 28-0 in the first half and they cruised to the victory, despite getting outscored in the second half. The Black Knights have gone 58.3% on third down and 5-6 on fourth down through three games. Bryson Daily has completed 52.6% of his passes for 186 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 340 yards and five scores this season. 

Temple vs Army Prediction 

Army rolls into this game looking to stay undefeated, as they have dominated their first three games of the season. The Black Knights have controlled time of possession and they have one of the best rushing attacks in the country, while the defense has also been great.

Temple was able to pick up their first win of the season last week against Utah State and they will be at home for this matchup. The Owls did play Navy earlier this year, who has a similar offense to Army, and they lost by a score of 38-11. I don’t trust this Temple defense to get many stops in this game and on the other side, the Army defense has been fantastic. Take Army to win by two scores here.

Army Black Knights Betting Preview

The Army Black Knights are 2-0 (1-0) this year after they defeated FAU by a score of 24-7 in their last game. Army led 14-7 at halftime and they were able to keep FAU off of the scoreboard in the second half for the win. The Black Knights outgained FAU by a total of 449-235, tied the turnover battle at one, and went 5-12 on third down in the game. Bryson Daily threw for 44 yards and one touchdown, while Noah Short rushed for 160 yards on 11 carries. 

Army defeated Lehigh by a score of 42-7 in their first game of the season and had a bye last week. The Army offense has scored 33 points per game with 50.5 passing yards and 390 rushing yards per game, while the defense has allowed 7.0 points per game this season. The Black Knights have gone 57.1% on third down and 3-3 on fourth down through two games. Bryson Daily has completed 40% of his passes for 79 yards and one touchdown, while Noah Short has rushed for 243 yards and one score. 

Rice Owls Betting Preview

The Rice Owls are 1-2 this season after they lost to Houston by a score of 33-7 in their last game. Rice allowed the first 33 points in the game, but they did avoid the shutout by scoring with a minute left in the fourth. The Owls were outgained by a total of 379-159, turned the ball over twice, and went 2-14 on third down in the game. E.J Warner threw for 50 yards and one interception, while Dean Connors rushed for 32 yards and one score on 11 carries. 

Rice lost to Sam Houston State by a score of 34-14 in week one, but they did beat Texas Southern by a score of 69-7 in week two. The Rice offense has scored 30 points per game with 171.7 passing yards and 150.3 rushing yards per game, while the defense has allowed 24.7 points per game this season. The Owls have gone 27% on third down and 3-4 on fourth down so far this season. EJ Warner has completed 62.1% of his passes for 466 yards, three touchdowns, and four interceptions, while Dean Connors has rushed for 197 yards and five scores. 

Army vs Rice Prediction 

Army comes into this game looking for their third straight win of the season and they looked great in their win at FAU. Rice was just blown out against Houston on the road and they are looking for their first win against a FBS team. The Owls have some major issues on both sides of the ball and I can’t see them stopping the triple option here. Army is going to control the time of possession and I think they are going to run all over this Rice defense. Take the Black Knights at home.
