However, one of my favorite things to do in baseball is to back ace caliber pitchers and cheap prices or plus money. That’s what we’re getting in Gallen, who is starting to heat up, allowing four hits and two runs in his last 13 innings while striking out 15.
And while Gallen hasn’t had much team success against the Dodgers, he’s holding current LAD hitters to a .241 batting average with 47 strikeouts in 170 at-bats. Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman are batting .217 against Gallen with 12 strikeouts in a combined 46 at-bats.
