The A’s did beat the Dodgers in Game 1 of the series in Los Angeles, but then lost the following two, including a massive 19-2 loss on Thursday, their biggest of the season. Osvaldo Bido took the loss after allowing six runs on five hits with two strikeouts and two walks in 1.2 innings.

This year, the Athletics average 4.45 runs per game (14th in the MLB) on a .258/.317/.428 triple-slash. When it comes to pitching, the Athletics’ staff has a 5.18 ERA (26th) and 1.50 WHIP (28th). Tyler Soderstrom leads the Athletics with a .280 batting average, ten home runs, and 29 RBI this season.

The projected starting pitcher for the Athletics is JP Sears, who is 4-2 in eight starts this season, with a 2.80 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in 45.0 innings.

San Francisco Giants Betting Preview

The San Francisco Giants (25-19, 13-7 Home) beat the Chicago Cubs and then lost the series to the Twins and Diamondbacks. The Giants were swept by Minnesota on the road before losing to Arizona at home. In the most recent 8-7 defeat, Heliot Ramos led the team with three RBI, while Jordan Hicks took the loss after allowing five runs on seven hits with one strikeout and one walk in 2.0 innings.
