The Tulane Green Wave and the USC Trojans meet Tuesday in college basketball action in the College Basketball Crown Tournament from MGM Arena. Here’s a USC vs Tulane prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best USC vs Tulane pick.

Tulane Green Wave Betting Preview

The Wave got off to a fairly rocky start this year, but they were able to right the ship well enough to get far past the .500 mark again. Tulane opened at a rough 5-7 though, before taking out Dillard, Charlotte, UTSA, South Florida, FAU and Rice over the next eight games. The Green Wave would lose to Memphis, then beat Tulsa, UTSA, Rice, East Carolina, Charlotte and Tulsa over another eight-game span. After a loss to East Carolina and a win over UAB to finish out the regular season, the Wave beat FAU in the conference tournament before a loss to Memphis in their latest outing. That gives Tulane a 19-14 overall record so far this year.

In the American Athletic Conference Championship tournament matchup versus Memphis back on March 15, the Green Wave were within seven points at the break. Tulane surged on a 45-39 run in the second half but ended up taking a tough loss in the end 78-77. Leading the team in scoring during the defeat was Rowan Brumbaugh with 22 points, five rebounds and three steals. Asher Woods added 15 points with six rebounds and five assists, while Kam Williams had 16 points, eight boards and two assists. Tops off the bench was Mari Jordan with 10 points and three boards in 16 minutes of work during the defeat.

USC Trojans Betting Preview

Over on the USC side, they showed some flashes of greater things this season but couldn’t work their way through a tough Big Ten schedule very well. The Trojans were 9-4 in their first 13 games, then took losses to Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, UCLA, Northwestern and Purdue over the next 10 games. USC would finish the regular season on a rough 2-6 skid, taking losses to Minnesota, Maryland, Rutgers, Ohio State, Oregon and UCLA in that time. The Trojans beat Rutgers in double-overtime during their first Big Ten Tournament game, then took a loss to Purdue for a 16-17 overall record so far through 33 games this year.

Matched up against Purdue in the second round of the conference tournament, the Trojans held a 35-35 tie at the break. USC was outpaced 41-36 the rest of the way however, giving the team a 76-71 loss in the end. Leading the way was Desmond Claude with 18 points, three rebounds and two assists. Wesley Yates added 13 points with seven boards and three assists, while Rashaun Agee chipped in with 11 points, seven rebounds and two assists.

Why the USC Trojans will win

  • Tulane has lost each of its last four games against non-Conference opponents at neutral venues.
  • USC has won 24 of its last 30 night games against non-Conference opponents.
  • Tulane has lost the first half in five of its last six games against non-Conference opponents at neutral venues.

Why the Tulane Green Wave will win

  • USC has lost each of its last four games against non-Conference opponents at neutral venues.
  • Tulane has won four of its last five games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • USC has lost the first half in each of its last three games against non-Conference opponents at neutral venues.

Total Points Facts

  • Each of USC’s last 12 Tuesday games against non-Conference opponents have produced a total of 151 or fewer points.
  • Each of Tulane’s last six games against non-Conference opponents have produced a total of 155 or fewer points.

Matchup/League Facts

  • USC ranks 28th among Division 1 teams for field goal percentage this season (48.2%).
  • USC ranks 44th among Division 1 teams for true shooting percentage this season (58.7%).
  • Tulane ranks 34th among Division 1 teams for opponent field goal percentage this season (40.7%).
  • Tulane ranks T36th among Division 1 teams for blocks per game this season (4.6).

USC vs Tulane Prediction

I’m going to take a stab on Tulane. The Green Wave pushed a good Memphis team to their limit in the semifinal of the AAC championship tournament, eventually shooting a nice 45 percent from the field and 31 percent (9-of-29) from outside. Tulane was outpaced on the boards 47-34 though, and had 12 turnovers for 13 Tigers points. It’s been a good scoring run lately for the Green Wave; they’ve hit 77 or more points in five of the last six games (a 4-2 stretch).

As for USC, they didn’t shoot terribly (43.5 percent) in their last game versus Purdue, and they were pretty competitive on the boards. The 10 turnovers for 12 Boilermakers points didn’t help though, nor did the 47.3 percent shooting allowed during the five-point defeat. It’s tough telling what we’re going to get out of the Trojans on a game-by-game basis; they’ve been below 64 points in two of the last five games and above 92 in two others (with a 2OT game mixed in there). USC could potentially control this one, but I like Tulane a little better.

Memphis vs Tulane Prediction

Memphis won the regular season title in the AAC by a couple of games over North Texas, but they struggled to separate from Wichita State on Friday. The Tigers have won six games in a row and they have scored at least 83 points in four of their last five. Tulane needed a big run in the closing minutes to put away FAU on Friday and they have won four of their last five games. The Green Wave aren’t great on offense, but they do play very tight defense that gives teams plenty of trouble. Memphis won the lone regular season meeting with Tulane by a score of 68-56, but this Tulane team is playing at a very high level right now and I don’t love how Memphis executed yesterday. Take Tulane and the points here.

Florida Atlantic Owls Betting Preview

The Florida Atlantic Owls are 18-14 (10-8) this season after they defeated Charlotte by a score of 64-59 in their last game. Florida Atlantic led 29-27 at halftime and added 35 points in the second half for the win. The Owls shot 48.9% from the field, 20% on three pointers, and 53.3% on free throws in the game. Matas Vokietaitis led Florida Atlantic with 17 points and seven rebounds, while Baba Miller added 13 points and five rebounds in the win.

Prior to that victory, the Owls defeated East Carolina by a score of 81-53, but did lose to UAB by a score of 89-80 before that. Florida Atlantic has won three of their last four games and they finished tied for fifth in the AAC standings with a 10-8 record. Tulane vs Florida Atlantic Prediction

Tulane had a great season in the AAC this year, as they were able to secure a top four finish, and they will be looking to build on that momentum here. The Green Wave have won three of their last four games and they have scored at least 78 points in all three of those wins. Florida Atlantic has also won three of their last four games and their defense has been very solid, as they have allowed 63 points or fewer in each of those three wins. Tulane did beat FAU by a score of 80-65 in their first meeting and I like them to get another win here. Florida Atlantic struggled to get by lowly Charlotte on Thursday and I think this Tulane offense will be too much. Take the Green Wave here.

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane and the Tulane Green Wave meet Sunday in college basketball action from Devlin Fieldhouse. Here’s a Tulane vs Tulsa prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Tulane vs Tulsa pick.

Tulsa Golden Hurricane Betting Preview

The Hurricane have a couple of instances of solid runs so far this year. Most of their outings have been losses, however, as Tulsa hasn’t been able to keep their heads above the .500 mark. The first seven games were a 4-3 run with wins over Northeastern State, AR-Pine Bluff, Oral Roberts, and Detroit among losses to Missouri State, Little Rock, and Loyola Chicago. After losses to Georgia State, Oklahoma State, Southern, and UCF, the Hurricane beat MS Valley State and Southwestern Christian before two more losses to Rice and UAB. Since then it’s been a 3-3 run for the Hurricane with wins over UTSA, Charlotte, and Wichita State among losses to South Florida, East Carolina, and UAB in that time. The result so far has been a 9-12 overall record through the first 21 games of the season for Tulsa.

In their Wednesday matchup with UAB, the Golden Hurricane took a four-point deficit into the second half. Tulsa was outscored 42-36 the rest of the way, resulting in a 78-68 loss in the end. Dwon Odom led the team in scoring with 17 points, eight boards, and seven assists. Keaston Willis added 16 points with two rebounds, one assist, and one steal, while Isaiah Barnes had 10 rebounds with six points in 33 minutes of work on the floor during the defeat.

Tulane Green Wave Betting Preview

Over on the Tulane side, they had one ugly run of games stretching from mid-November into early December. Outside of that, however, the Green Wave has looked pretty good overall so far this season. Tulane went 4-6 in the first 10 outings, beating Louisiana Monroe, Alcorn State, Bethune-Cookman, and Louisiana Christian in that time among losses otherwise versus Furman, New Orleans, Wyoming, Belmont, SE Louisiana, and George Mason. The next eight games were a 6-2 run with losses to only Florida State and UAB. Otherwise, the victories came versus Southern Miss, Dillard, Charlotte, UTSA, South Florida, and Florida Atlantic. Since then Tulane has gone 1-2 with a lone win over Rice in between losses to Temple and Memphis. That gives the Green Wave an 11-10 overall run through 21 games during this campaign.

Matched up against Memphis in their Thursday outing, the Green Wave took a three-point deficit into halftime. Tulane didn’t end up getting any closer on a 39-30 run from there, however, and took the loss 68-56 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Rowan Brumbaugh with 19 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. The only other team player to finish in double-figures was Kaleb Banks with 14 points, five rebounds, three assists, one steal, and two blocks. Mari Jordan led the team off the bench with his seven points and two rebounds in 21 minutes.

Why the Tulane Green Wave will win

  • Tulane has won each of its last five home games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Tulsa has lost each of its last five Sunday road games against the American Athletic Conference.
  • Tulane has won the first half in four of its last five home games against non-AP-ranked opponents.

Why the Tulsa Golden Hurricane will win

  • Tulsa has won three of its last four day games at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.
  • Tulsa has won the first half in six of its last seven day games against non-AP-ranked opponents.

Tulane vs Tulsa Prediction

I’ll stick with Tulane. The Green Wave could use a good showing here after a shaky three-game run. Tulane couldn’t hang very well with Memphis—even at home—in their last outing. The Wave shot just 36.2 percent from the field and 16.7 percent (4-of-24) from outside along with a spotty 58.8 percent (10-of-17) from the line. The rebounding (38) was pretty good, but Tulane also coughed up 12 turnovers for 11 Tigers points. Their 56 points in that one were the lowest total of the year and came on the heels of 73 or more points in four straight (a 3-1 run).

As for Tulsa, they’ve given up 77 or more points in three straight games. That sounds inviting for the Wave, but the Hurricane haven’t been scoring too badly themselves lately. I like a high total in this one with Tulane powering it out.

In this article, we will formulate a Tulane vs Memphis prediction for this College Basketball game on Thursday, January 30th at the Devlin Fieldhouse in New Orleans, Louisiana. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this College Basketball matchup.

Tulane Green Wave Betting Preview

The Tulane Green Wave are 11-9 (5-2) this year after they defeated Rice by a score of 82-71 in their last game. Tulane trailed 37-36 at halftime, but they scored 46 points in the second half for the win. The Green Wave shot 51.8% from the field, 21.4% on three-pointers, and 77.8% on free throws in the game. Greg Glenn III led Tulane with 17 points and six rebounds, while Asher Woods added 13 points and two rebounds in the game.

Prior to that win, the Green Wave lost to Temple by a score of 80-77, but did beat FAU by a score of 80-65 before that. Tulane has won three of their last four games and they are currently fourth in the American standings. Tulane has scored 76.6 points per game and they have allowed 68.6 points per game, while also averaging 36.0 rebounds and 15.7 assists per game this season. Kaleb Banks is averaging 17.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game, while Rowan Brumbaugh is averaging 14.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game this year. Tulane is shooting 44.8% from the field, 77.2% on free throws, and 34.9% on three-pointers this season.

Memphis Tigers Betting Preview

The Memphis Tigers are 16-4 (6-1) this season after they defeated UAB by a score of 100-77 in their last game. Memphis led 52-39 at halftime and added 48 points in the second half in the blowout win. The Tigers shot 62.3% from the field, 52.9% on three-pointers, and 60% on free throws in the game. PJ Haggerty led Memphis with 23 points and nine assists, while Dain Dainja added 21 points and eight rebounds in the win.

Prior to that victory, the Tigers defeated Wichita State by a score of 61-53 and Charlotte by a score of 77-68. Memphis has won seven of their last eight games and they are currently second in the AAC standings. Memphis has scored 79.0 points per game and they have allowed 73.2 points per game, while also averaging 35.0 rebounds and 13.2 assists per game this season. PJ Haggerty is averaging 22.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game, while Tyrese Hunter is averaging 14.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game this year. Memphis is shooting 47.3% from the field, 72% on free throws, and 39.5% on three-pointers this season.

Why Memphis will beat Tulane

  • Memphis has won 12 of its last 13 games when playing with a rest disadvantage.
  • Tulane has lost 14 of its last 15 Thursday night games against the American Athletic Conference.
  • Tulane has lost the first half in each of its last 13 night games against AP-ranked opponents.

Tulane vs Memphis Prediction

Both of these teams come into this matchup battling toward the top of the AAC standings, but Tulane will be at home. The Green Wave have won three of their last four games, but they are shooting just 44.8% from the field this year. Memphis is 6-1 in conference play and they are ranked #19 in the country, but their one conference loss so far came against Temple on the road. The Tigers are shooting 47.3% from the field this year and they are scoring 79 points per game. Memphis has been on a roll over the last five weeks, which includes wins over Clemson and Ole Miss. I do think Tulane will be able to hang around for the first half, but Memphis is going to pull away with their high-scoring offense. Take the Tigers to cover.

The Tulane Green Wave and the Temple Owls meet Sunday in college basketball action from Liacouras Center. Here’s a Temple vs Tulane prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Temple vs Tulane pick.

Tulane Green Wave Betting Preview

This year Tulane had a pretty bad stretch of games in November and December, but other than that they’ve been a fairly solid team overall. The Wave opened on a 4-1 run with a lone loss to Furman amid wins over Louisiana Christian, Louisiana Monroe, Alcorn State, and Bethune-Cookman. A 1-6 stretch came next with a win over Southern Miss alongside losses to New Orleans, Wyoming, Belmont, SE Louisiana, George Mason, and Florida State. Since then it’s been a solid 5-1 run with a lone loss to UAB. Otherwise, the Wave have beaten Dillard, Charlotte, UTSA, South Florida, and Florida Atlantic in that time for a 10-8 record overall.

In the Florida Atlantic game back on Wednesday, the Green Wave came out of the break looking up at a 31-23 edge on the scoreboard. Tulane hit a 49-42 run the rest of the way, powering out the win 80-65 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Kaleb Banks with 25 points, four rebounds, and two steals. Rowan Brumbaugh added 20 points with two steals, two assists, and two rebounds, while Ahser Woods had 16 points with five boards and two steals. Greg Glenn led the rebounding with 11 boards alongside seven points and two steals.

Temple Owls Betting Preview

Over on the Temple side, they opened the year on a spotty .500 run but they’ve since been looking much better. The Owls lost to Boston College, Florida State, La Salle, and Villanova with wins otherwise over Sacred Heart, Monmouth, Drexel, and UMass during a 4-4 start. Temple is 7-2 in their last nine games though, losing to only Rhode Island and East Carolina with wins otherwise versus Holy Family University, Hofstra, Davidson, Buffalo, Wichita State, Rice, and Memphis for an 11-6 overall record so far this year.

Matched up against Memphis in Thursday’s game, the Owls held a 36-30 edge by halftime. Temple didn’t let up in the second on a 52-51 run and took the upset win 88-81 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Jamal Mashburn Jr. with 21 points, five boards, and four assists. Quante Berry added 19 points with three rebounds and three assists, while Shane Dezonie led the bench players with 15 points and 13 rebounds in 24 minutes of work for a double-double. Zion Stanford chipped in with 10 points off the bench in the win as well.

Why the Temple Owls will win

  • Temple has won each of its last seven games at Liacouras Center.
  • Tulane has lost three of its last four road day games against the American Athletic Conference.
  • Temple has won the first half in five of its last six games.

Why the Tulane Green Wave will win

  • Tulane has won each of its last four games against Temple.
  • Temple has lost three of its last four day games against the American Athletic Conference at Liacouras Center.
  • Tulane has won the first half in each of its last seven games against Temple.

Temple vs Tulane Prediction

I’m going to stay with Temple. The Owls should be in pretty good shape here—so long as they don’t suffer from the proverbial “big-win hangover” following their upset victory over Memphis. Temple shot a nice 46.8 percent from the field in that one but really took it to another level on the boards with a 49-25 rebounding edge (22-10 offensive). During this current 4-2 stretch, Temple has been scoring quite well with 73 or more points in each game. Another total above that threshold will put the Owls in a great spot on Sunday. They’re playing quite well these days and haven’t suffered consecutive losses since way back in late November/early December.

As for Tulane, they dispatched a middling Florida Atlantic team without too much difficulty in their latest outing. The Green Wave shot 46.3 percent from the field in that one alongside 33 rebounds and a solid 23-of-27 (85.2 percent) from the line. Tulane has scored quite well lately, with a nice 69 or more points in six straight games (a 5-1 run). I like this one to be close most of the way, with Temple powering it out in the end. Should be a fun one to watch regardless.

In this article, we will formulate a Florida vs Tulane prediction for this College Football game on Friday, December 20th at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Let’s take a look at the prediction for the Gasparilla Bowl.

Florida Gators Betting Preview

The Florida Gators are 7-5 (4-4) this year and they finished 10th in the SEC standings. Florida finished the regular season with a 31-11 win over Florida State in their annual rivalry game. Florida also has wins over Ole Miss, LSU, Kentucky, UCF, Mississippi State, and Samford this year. The Gators do have five losses against Miami, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Georgia, and Texas, but they have won three games in a row coming into this game.

The Florida offense has scored 28.4 points per game with 219.1 passing yards and 156 rushing yards per game, while the defense has allowed 24.3 points per game this season. DJ Lagway has completed 59.2% of his passes for 1,610 yards, 11 touchdowns, and seven interceptions, while Jadan Baugh has rushed for 603 yards and seven scores this year. Florida does have quite a few injuries on their defense, but they don’t have much production in the transfer portal (as of right now).

Tulane Green Wave Betting Preview

The Tulane Green Wave are 9-4 (7-1) this season and they finished second in the AAC standings. Tulane did make the conference championship game, but they lost to Army by a score of 35-14. Tulane has nine wins against Navy, Temple, Charlotte, North Texas, Rice, UAB, South Florida, Louisiana, and SELA. The Green Wave has four losses against Kansas State, Oklahoma, Memphis, and Army. Tulane did end the season with two losses to Memphis and Army, but they did win the previous eight games.

The Tulane offense has scored 37.2 points per game with 215.8 passing yards and 205.4 rushing yards per game, while the defense has allowed 19.7 points per game this season. Tulane’s starting quarterback, Darian Mensah, transferred to Duke, so he will not be playing in this game. The Green Wave’s second and third-string quarterback are also in the portal, but Ty Thompson plans to play in the bowl game.

Why Florida will beat Tulane

  • Florida has won each of its last four games against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • Tulane has lost four of its last five games in December.
  • Florida has covered the spread in eight of its last nine games.
  • Tulane has failed to cover the spread in four of its last five games in December.
  • Florida has won the first quarter in four of its last five games against opponents from the American Athletic Conference.
  • Florida has won the first half in six of its last seven games against non-conference opponents.

Total Points Facts

  • Each of Tulane’s last four games against non-conference opponents at neutral venues has gone OVER the total points line.
  • Five of Florida’s last six games against non-conference opponents have gone UNDER the total points line.

Matchup/League Facts

  • Florida ranks 14th among FBS teams for red zone percentage this season (73.7).
  • Florida ranks 15th among FBS teams for average point differential in the fourth quarter this season (+4.5).
  • Tulane ranks 2nd among FBS teams for 3rd down conversion percentage this season (52.2).
  • Tulane ranks 6th among FBS teams for H2 points per game this season (18.5).

Florida vs Tulane Prediction

Florida comes into this matchup with plenty of momentum and they are looking to end the season with a fourth straight win here. The Gators played a very difficult schedule this year, but they were able to pick up wins against LSU and Ole Miss in two of their last three games. Tulane had a great season in the AAC, but they are missing their starting quarterback and the transfer portal has really hurt them coming into this matchup. Florida has much more talent than Tulane does, so the only question is if the Gators will care about this bowl game. I do think we will see a good effort in this game from Florida, as they have a ton of momentum right now, and finishing this schedule with eight wins would be a big positive. Take the Gators to win big.

In this article, we will formulate an Army vs Tulane Prediction for this College Football ACC Championship game on Friday, December 6, at Michie Stadium.  Let’s take a look at an Army Black Knights vs Tulane Green Wave pick.

Can Tulane Get the Last Loss Out of Their Head?

The big question for Tulane is how they get the last loss out of their mind and try to refocus on this game. Tulane in the last game faced off against Memphis and the defense just didn’t make enough stops. Tulane scored 14 points in the 4th quarter, but it wasn’t enough and they ended up losing 34-24. Darian Mensah completed 21 of his 33 passes for 317 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The defense especially struggled to slow down the run letting him run for 177 yards and one touchdown.

Tulane on the season is averaging 39.1 points while their defense is giving up 18.4 points per game. The offense is ranked 6th in the league while the defense is ranked 15th. In this game of course the biggest goal is going to be to slow down the triple option of Army.

Army Just Keeps Winning

Army’s only loss came against Notre Dame earlier this season, but outside of that, they have found a ton of success. In the last game against UTSA, Army didn’t play their best game, but they were able to secure a 29-24 victory. Quarterback Bryson Daily completed 10 of his 17 passes for 190 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. He also rushed 27 times for 142 yards and two touchdowns. Daily has been impressive, and they are going to need him to have a huge game here. Army on the season is averaging 32.7 points while their defense is giving up 15.1 points per game. The offense is ranked 31st in the league while the defense is ranked 8th. On the season, Daily has rushed 240 times for 1,348 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Army vs Tulane Prediction

Army should not be underdogs in this game. Tulane is going to struggle to get the offense going against a very good defense, and their defense is going to struggle to find a way to slow down the run. Daily is having a huge season and he’s going to put on a show here. Look for Army’s offense to get out to a fast start, and that is going to be the difference here as the Black Knights get the job done. Back Army against the spread.

The Southeastern Louisiana Lions and the Tulane Green Wave meet Monday in college basketball action from Devlin Fieldhouse. Here’s a Tulane vs Southeastern LA prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Tulane vs Southeastern LA pick.

Southeastern Louisiana Lions Betting Preview

The Lions lost two of their first three games this year to UAB and Mississippi State. Following a win over Louisiana-Monroe, Southeastern LA lost to Wyoming and Gardner-Webb before another win over North Dakota.

On Wednesday in the North Dakota matchup, the Lions held a four-point lead at the break. Southeastern LA hit a 43-31 run the rest of the way in a 76-60 win. Sam Hines was the lead scorer on 17 points with five rebounds.

Tulane Green Wave Betting Preview

Over on the Green Wave’s side, they won their first three games over Louisiana Christian, LA-Monroe, and Alcorn State. Tulane has gone 1-4 since then, however, falling to Furman, New Orleans, Wyoming, and Belmont in that time.

The Wave were looking at a 10-point deficit by the break in the Belmont matchup. Tulane didn’t get any closer on a 44-31 deficit from there in an 89-66 loss. Asher Woods was tops with 16 points, while both Rowan Brumbaugh and Mari Jordan added 13 points each.

Why the Tulane Green Wave will win

  • Southeastern Louisiana has lost 19 of its last 20 road night games against non-conference opponents.
  • Tulane has won each of its last nine Monday night games at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.
  • Tulane has won the first half in 22 of its last 23 night games against non-conference opponents at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.

Why the Southeastern Louisiana Lions will win

  • Tulane has lost four of its last five games.
  • Southeastern Louisiana has won seven of its last eight Monday games.
  • Southeastern Louisiana has won the first half in three of its last four games against non-AP-ranked opponents.

Tulane vs Southeastern LA Prediction

I might take a stab at Tulane here. The Green Wave really need a good bounce-back effort after falling to Belmont, though. Tulane put up a tepid 39 percent shooting in that one with 15 turnovers but did have a 38-33 rebounding edge. The Wave have given up 75 or more points in three of the last five games, going just 1-4 in that time.

As for Southeastern Louisiana, they’ve hit 69 or more points in three of the last four games. The Lions are coming off a solid win over North Dakota, hitting a nice 47.2 percent from the field. That makes fewer than 68 points allowed in three of the last four games, but also a spotty 2-2 run in that time. This one seems like a coin flip to me, so I’m probably staying away.

The Tulane Green Wave and the Belmont Bruins meet Wednesday in college basketball action from the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Tulane vs. Belmont prediction.

Tulane Recap

The Tulane Green Wave come into this game looking to bounce back from a 64-63 loss to Wyoming last time out to fall to 4-3 on the year.

Green Wave Looking To Rebound

Going into the Wyoming matchup, Kaleb Banks leads the Green Wave in scoring and rebounding with 17.7 PPG and 8 RPG while Rowan Brumbaugh has 12.5 PPG with 4 RPG and a team-high 5.5 APG to lead the Green Wave in assists up to this point in the year. Mari Jordan also has 10.3 PPG with 5.3 RPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Tulane so far this season. Kam Williams has also chipped in 9.3 PPG and 4.5 RPG as well on the year. As a team, Tulane is averaging 77.7 PPG on 43% shooting from the field, 36.5% from three, and 72.9% from the foul line this season.

Why the Tulane Green Wave will win

  • Tulane has won 14 of its last 18 night games against non-conference opponents.
  • Belmont has lost three of its last four night games played at neutral venues.

Belmont Recap

The Belmont Bruins come into this game hoping to get back on track after falling to Loyola Marymount 77-63, dropping to 4-2 on the year as a result.

Bruins Looking For Response

Going into the LMU matchup, Carter Whitt leads the Bruins in scoring with 13.5 PPG along with 3.5 RPG and 3.5 APG while Brody Peebles has 12.8 PPG and Jonathan Pierre has 11.6 PPG with a team-high 7.6 RPG to lead the Bruins on the glass so far this season. Tyler Lundblade has 11.2 PPG and Sam Orme also has 11.2 PPG with 4.8 RPG while Isaiah Walker has 11 PPG with 6.4 RPG and a team-high 4 APG to lead the Bruins in assists while also rounding out the group of double-digit scorers for Belmont so far this season. As a team, Belmont is averaging 83.2 PPG on 50.8% shooting from the field, 39.4% from three, and 71.4% from the foul line so far this season.

Why the Belmont Bruins will win

  • Belmont has won each of its last seven Wednesday games against non-conference opponents.
  • Tulane has lost five of its last six games played at neutral venues.

Tulane vs. Belmont Prediction

I’m on Belmont here. I have not been impressed with what I’ve seen out of Tulane in recent games, and I think they could be in some trouble here against a Belmont team that’s been much more consistent and efficient in terms of hitting their shots from the floor. Tulane’s main way of putting points on the board is getting to the foul line, and Belmont is the 6th-best team nationally in free throw rate allowed so I’m anticipating another offensive struggle for Tulane here. Give me the Bruins.

The Wyoming Cowboys and the Tulane Green Wave meet Tuesday in college basketball action from the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Tulane vs Wyoming Prediction.

Wyoming Recap

The Wyoming Cowboys come into this game looking to build on back-to-back wins after a 64-61 win over Southeastern Louisiana to improve to 4-1 on the year.

Cowboys Looking To Pick Up Steam

Obi Agbim leads the Cowboys in scoring with 17.4 PPG and shares the team lead in assists with 3 APG while Kobe Newton has 12.3 PPG with 3 APG of his own. Jordan Nesbitt has 11 PPG with 10.8 RPG to lead the Cowboys on the glass while capping off the trio of double-digit scorers for Wyoming so far this season. Touko Tainamo also has 9 PPG with 4.8 RPG for Wyoming so far this season. As a team, Wyoming is averaging 77.6 PPG on 46.4% shooting from the field, 31.5% from three, and 60.8% from the foul line this season.

Why the Wyoming Cowboys will win

  • Wyoming has won four of its last five games.
  • Tulane has lost four of its last five games played at neutral venues.

Tulane Recap

The Tulane Green Wave will be out to bounce back from their 93-87 OT loss to New Orleans last time out, dropping to 4-2 on the year as a result.

Green Wave Trying To Find Consistent Play

Kaleb Banks leads the Green Wave in scoring and rebounding with 17.7 PPG and 8 RPG while Rowan Brumbaugh has 12.5 PPG with 4 RPG and a team-high 5.5 APG to lead the Green Wave in assists up to this point in the year.

  • Wyoming has lost each of its last six night games played at neutral venues.
  • Tulane has won five of its last six night games after coming off overtime.

Tulane vs Wyoming Prediction

I’m on Tulane here. The Cowboys have played a decent schedule, but their only tough game saw them get doubled up by Texas Tech. Tulane’s coming off of a bad loss to a bad New Orleans team, but the shooting percentages for the Green Wave aren’t bad, and I think they’re the better defensive unit here. Give me Tulane.

The Memphis Tigers and the Tulane Green Wave will meet Thursday in college football action from Yulman Stadium. Here’s a Tulane vs Memphis prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Tulane vs Memphis pick.

Memphis Tigers Betting Preview

Memphis beat North Alabama, Troy, and Florida State over their first three games, then fell to Navy. The Tigers would take out Middle Tennessee, South Florida, North Texas, and Charlotte before another loss to UTSA and two more wins over Rice and UAB.

In the UAB game back on November 16, the Tigers went into the fourth quarter with a 25-11 lead then scored 28 more points for a 53-18 victory. QB Seth Henigan threw for 299 yards and four scores, while Mario Anderson added 22 carries for 138 yards and a TD.

Tulane Green Wave Betting Preview

Over on the Tulane side, they took losses to Kansas State and Oklahoma over their first three games. The Wave have since beaten Louisiana, South Florida, UAB, Rice, North Texas, Charlotte, Temple, and Navy in succession, though.

In their November 16 matchup with Navy, the Green Wave put up points in every quarter along the way to a 35-0 blowout win. Darian Mensah threw for 138 yards and two TDs with a rush score. Tops on the ground was Makhi Hughes with 22 totes for 82 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Why the Tulane Green Wave will win

  • Tulane has won each of its last 14 games against non-AP-ranked teams at Yulman Stadium.
  • Memphis has lost five of its last six games against AP-ranked teams.
  • Tulane has covered the spread in 10 of its last 11 games as a favorite against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • Memphis has failed to cover the spread in nine of its last 10 games against AP-ranked teams.
  • Tulane has won the first half in each of its last seven games against conference opponents.
  • Tulane has won the first quarter in each of its last seven games against conference opponents.

Why the Memphis Tigers will win

  • Memphis has won each of its last seven Thursday games against conference opponents.
  • The road team has covered the spread in five of Tulane’s last six games.
  • Memphis has won the first quarter in five of its last six road games against conference opponents.

Total Points Facts

  • Nine of Tulane’s last 10 games as a home favorite have gone UNDER the total points line.
  • Each of Memphis’ last five November games as a road underdog has gone UNDER the total points line.

Tulane vs Memphis Prediction

I’ll lean toward Tulane. You could probably make a case either way, though; this should be a great matchup. The Wave dispatched a pretty good Navy team without too much fanfare in their last outing, holding the Midshipmen to just 113 yards (13 passing), 2.5 yards per play, eight first downs, and 1-of-11 on third-down conversions. Tulane has demolished the scoreboard in the last four games, posting 34 or more points in each outing.

As for Memphis, they bagged 526 yards (227 rushing), 7.1 yards per play, and 31 first downs in their last appearance versus UAB. The Tigers also came up with four takeaways on defense in a pretty dominant win. Memphis has scored well themselves lately with 27 or more points in five straight. Ultimately I like Tulane to power out the cover here, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it close most of the way.

In this article, we will formulate a Navy vs. Tulane Prediction for this College Football Week 12 game on Saturday, November 16th, at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.  Let’s take a look at a Navy Midshipmen vs Tulane Green Wave pick.

Tulane Has Confidence

Tulane has confidence heading into this game and they sit with an 8-2 record overall. In the last game, Tulane faced off against Temple and they scored 52 points on the way to the victory. The defense gave up only six points and that came in the 4th quarter. Darian Mensah has been getting better as the season has gone on and he completed 14 of his 21 passes for 262 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Makhi Hughes also finished with 19 carries for 153 yards. Tulane scores an average of 41 points per game and their offense gives up 18.7 points per game. Offensively, they are ranked 4th in college football, and their defense is ranked 18th.

Navy Bounced Back

Navy lost a couple of games, but they bounced back in a big way in the last game. Navy faced off against South Florida and they gave up only seven points on the way to the victory. Eli Heindreich had a strong game finishing with six carries for 84 yards and a touchdown. Against Notre Dame a couple of games ago the defense gave up 51 points and they are going to need the defense to be better here. Navy averages 35.67 points per game and their defense gives up 22.22 points per game on average. Their offense is ranked 20th in college football and their defense is ranked 46th.

Navy vs Tulane Prediction

This total is a little too high. I don’t believe Navy has any interest in getting into a shootout in this game, and that is going to be the difference here. Navy is going to run their triple-option offense and they are going to try and burn a ton of clock. Their defense is also going to make life tough on Tulane, and that will be the difference here as this game will stay under the total. Back the under to cash here.

The Temple Owls and the Tulane Green Wave meet in week 11 college football action from Yulman Stadium on Saturday afternoon. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Tulane vs Temple Prediction.

Temple Recap

The Temple Owls come into this one looking to bounce back from a 56-34 loss to East Carolina last time out to fall to 2-6 on the year. After this game, Temple will head home for a date with FAU.

Owls Need To Win Out

Evan Simon has thrown for 1,271 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions on 62.7% passing while Forrest Brock’s thrown for 541 yards, a touchdown, and 5 picks on 58.8% passing. Terrez Worthy also has a team-high 280 rushing yards to lead the Owls on the ground while Dante Wright leads Temple’s receiving group with 42 receptions for 517 yards and 4 touchdowns. Two more Owls have 200+ receiving yards and another five receivers have 100+ receiving yards. On defense, Tyquan King has a team-high 70 total tackles along with a pair of sacks. As a unit, Temple’s defense has combined for 10 sacks and 6 interceptions so far this season.

Why the Temple Owls will win

  • The road team has won three of Tulane’s last four games.
  • The road team has covered the spread in each of Tulane’s last four games.

Tulane Recap

The Tulane Green Wave come into this one looking to keep the momentum going after a 34-3 win over Charlotte last time out. After this game, Tulane heads to Navy for a matchup with the Midshipmen.

Green Wave Win Sixth Straight

Darian Mensah has thrown for 1,797 yards, 14 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions on 65.5% passing while Makhi Hughes has a team-high 1,056 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. Mario Williams leads the Green Wave’s receiving group with 34 grabs for 561 yards while Dontae Fleming has 25 grabs for 467 yards. Yulkeith Brown and Alex Bauman each have 4 receiving TDs as well on the year. On defense, Tyler Grubbs has a team-high 39 total tackles including 26 solo tackles and 3 sacks while Patrick Jenkins also has 3 sacks. Kameron Hamilton has 3.5 sacks as well on the year. Tulane’s defense as a whole has combined for 22 sacks and 11 interceptions so far this year.

Why the Tulane Green Wave will win

  • Temple has lost each of its last 19 road games against conference opponents.
  • Tulane has won each of its last 13 games against non-AP-ranked teams at Yulman Stadium.
  • Tulane has covered the spread in eight of its last nine games as a favorite against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • Temple has failed to cover the spread in five of its last six games against conference opponents.

Tulane vs Temple Prediction

I’m on Tulane here. Temple’s defense downright stinks after giving up what they did to a bad East Carolina team last week and I don’t know if I can trust this team at all after that, especially against a Tulane team that has a defense that can smother whatever Temple wants to do offensively, and Tulane just wants to run the ball on offense which is Temple’s greatest weakness. Give me the Green Wave here.

In this article, we will formulate a Charlotte vs Tulane Prediction for this College Football Week 10 game on Thursday, October 31st, at Jerry Richarson Stadium.  Let’s take a look at a Tulane Green Wave vs Charlotte 49ers pick.

Tulane Has Confidence

Tulane has a ton of confidence heading into this game, and they currently sit with a 6-2 record overall. In the last game against North Texas, Tulane scored 45 points, and they ended up winning by eight points. Darian Mensah completed 10 of his 13 passes for 175 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Makhi Hughes also had a strong game, finishing with 30 carries for 195 yards and a touchdown.

Tulane is averaging 40.5 points, while their defense is giving up 22.3 points per game. The offense is ranked 8th in the league, while the defense is ranked 51st in the league. They are averaging nine points per game in the 1st quarter, and getting out to a fast starter is going to be key.

Charlotte Fell Just Short

Charlotte comes into this game with a 3-5 record overall, but they almost pulled off the big upset in the last game. Charlotte scored 21 points in the 4th quarter against Memphis, but it wasn’t enough as they ended up losing 33-28. DeShawn Purdie completed 5 of his 14 passes for 152 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Running back Cartevious Norton finished with 17 carries for 86 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver O’Mega Blake finished with three catches for 128 yards and a touchdown.

Charlotte is averaging 23.6 points, while their defense is giving up 34.3 points per game. The offense is ranked 99th in the league, while the defense is ranked 119th. In this game, Charlotte’s defense is going to need to be good, or this is going to be a long game. Charlotte will take on USF after this one.

Matchup/League Facts

  • Charlotte ranks T123rd among FBS teams for average point differential in the first quarters this season (-4.1).
  • Charlotte ranks 123rd among FBS teams for 3rd down conversion percentage this season (31.1).
  • Tulane ranks 8th among FBS teams for points per game this season (40.5).
  • Tulane ranks 9th among FBS teams for H2 points per game this season (18.9).

Charlotte vs Tulane Prediction

Give me Charlotte here as the underdogs. I don’t think the 49ers are going to win this game, but they are going to score enough to keep it close. Charlotte in the last game scored 28 points, and the Tulane defense has been inconsistent at best. Charlotte is averaging 23.6 points, but they are going to go well over that number here. Charlotte will keep it within a touchdown. Back Charlotte against the spread.

In this article, we will formulate a North Texas vs Tulane Prediction for this College Football Week 9 game on Saturday, October 26th, at Apogee Stadium.  Let’s take a look at a North Texas Mean Green vs Tulane Green Wave pick.

Tulane Have Won Four Straight Games

Tulane is playing well heading into this game, and they have won four straight games. In the last game against Rice, Tulane scored 24 points, and they ended up winning by 14 points. Makhi Hughes had a strong game on the ground, rushing 27 times for 140 yards and a touchdown. Tulane sits with a 5-2 record, and they are going to need the defense to step up here.

Overall, Tulane is averaging 39.9 points this season, while its defense is giving up 20.1 points per game. In this game, Tulane needs to get out to a fast start to really try to put pressure on the defense.

Why Tulane Will Beat North Texas

  • Tulane has won 23 of its last 24 games against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • North Texas has lost three of its last four games in October.
  • Tulane has covered the spread in 11 of its last 13 road games against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • North Texas has lost the first half in three of its last four home games against conference opponents.

North Texas Fell Short

North Texas in the last game faced off against Memphis and the offense scored 44 points, but the defense gave up 52 points and that led to the defeat. At the end of the first quarter, North Texas was up 21-14but it wasn’t enough as they ended up losing by eight points. Chandler Morris completed 36 of his 61 passes for 445 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. DT Sherrfield only had two carries but finished with 82 yards and a touchdown. He also caught eight passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns. North Texas on the season is averaging 41.3 points, while their defense is giving up 35.7 points per game. Their defense hasn’t been as good as Tulane’s defense.

North Texas vs Tulane Prediction

There will be no defense in this game. North Texas is averaging 41.3 points, while Tulane is averaging 39.9 points per game. North Texas’s defense is giving up 35.7 points per game, and it is going to struggle to defend here. There won’t be a lot of punts, and this is going to end up being a shootout. Back the over to cash here.

The Rice Owls and the Tulane Green Wave meet in week 8 college football action from Yulman Stadium on Saturday afternoon. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Tulane vs Rice Prediction.

Rice Team Preview

The Rice Owls come into this one looking to build on a 29-27 win over UTSA last time out to improve to 2-4 on the year. After this game, Rice will head to Connecticut for a matchup with the Huskies.

Owls Looking To Keep Momentum Going

E.J. Warner has thrown for 1,302 yards, 9 touchdowns and 6 interceptions on 61.8% passing while Dean Connors has rushed for a team-high 396 yards and 6 touchdowns and Taji Atkins has 158 rushing yards and 2 scores. Matt Sykes has 31 receptions for 378 yards and 3 touchdowns while Connors has a team-high 34 receptions for 248 yards this season. Two more Owls have 100+ receiving yards on the year. On defense, Sean Fresch has a team-high 31 total tackles while Josh Pearcy and Michael Larbie each have 3.5 sacks to lead the Owls. As a unit, Rice’s defense has combined for 20 sacks and 3 interceptions so far this season.

Why the Rice Owls will win

  • Rice has won four of its last five October games as an underdog against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • Rice has covered the spread in each of its last six October games as an underdog.

Tulane Team Preview

The Tulane Green Wave come into this one looking to build on their three-game win streak prior to their bye week after ending up with a 71-20 win over UAB last time out. After this game, Tulane will head out on the road for a matchup against North Texas.

Green Wave Looking To Inch Closer To Bowl Eligibility

Darian Mensah has thrown for 1,256 yards, 10 touchdowns and 2 interceptions on 66.1% passing while Makhi Hughes has a team-high 604 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns. Mario Williams leads the Green Wave’s receiving group with 23 grabs for 414 yards while Dontae Fleming has 17 grabs for 304 yards. Yulkeith Brown and Alex Bauman each have 3 receiving TDs as well on the year. On defense, Tyler Grubbs has a team-high 29 total tackles including 18 solo tackles and 3 sacks while Patrick Jenkins also has 3 sacks. Tulane’s defense as a whole has combined for 17 sacks and 7 interceptions so far this year.

Why the Tulane Green Wave will win

  • Tulane has won each of its last 12 games against non-AP-ranked teams at Yulman Stadium.
  • Rice has lost three of its last four games.
  • Tulane has covered the spread in each of its last six games as a favorite against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • Rice has failed to cover the spread in four of its last five games as an underdog against non-AP-ranked teams.

Tulane vs Rice Prediction

I’m leaning towards Tulane here. I get that this is a huge number, but Rice hasn’t shown me much when taking the step-up in competition for me to think they can keep this game close. Tulane’s been able to run over their opposition the last couple of weeks, and Rice’s rush defense hasn’t been anything special this season. I think Tulane wins this one 45-17, so give me the Green Wave.

In this article, we will formulate a UAB vs Tulane prediction for this College Football Week 6 game on Saturday, September 5th, at Protective Stadium.  Let’s take a look at a UAB Blazers vs Tulane Green Wave pick.

UAB in Trouble?

UAB has only one win on the season and in the last game against Navy they really looked bad. UAB’s offense scored 18 points, while the defense gave up 41 points, and that led to the defeat. At halftime, they were down 21-3 and they couldn’t ever bounce back as they ended up losing. Under center for UAB is Jacob Zeno and he completed 14 of his 22 passes for 202 yards one touchdown, and two interceptions. The interceptions are going to need to be cleaned up quickly because they can’t have him turning the ball over again in this game.

UAB on the season is averaging 23 points while their defense is giving up 28.3 points per game. The offense is ranked 99th in the league while the defense is ranked 97th. The offense needs to get out to a faster start here.

Back to Back Solid Games for Tulane

Tulane has won back-to-back games and they have all kinds of confidence. In the last game against South Florida, Tulane scored 45 points and they ended up winning by 35 points. Darian Mensah had a strong game completing 18 of his 22 passes for 326 yards and three touchdowns. Dontae Fleming also had a huge game catching seven passes for 128 yards and a touchdown. Two games ago against Louisiana, they were able to secure a 41-33 victory.

In this game, Tulane needs to get the offense to have another big game from Mensah. Tulane on the season is averaging 36.8 points while their defense is giving up 22.2 points per game. The offense is ranked 27th in the league while the defense is ranked 61st.

Why Tulane Will Beat UAB

  • Tulane has won 21 of its last 22 games against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • UAB has lost four of its last five games in October.
  • Tulane has covered the spread in each of its last five games as a favorite against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • UAB has failed to cover the spread in five of its last six games in October.

UAB vs Tulane Prediction

Tulane is going to find success in this game. Tulane has won back-to-back games and the offense has been elite heading into this game. Tulane is averaging 36.8 points per game and they are going to put on a show here. UAB’s offense isn’t very talented this season and they are going to really struggle to get the offense going here. Back Tulane to win this game and cover the spread.

In this article we will formulate a Tulane vs South Florida prediction for this College Football game on Saturday, September 28th at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this week five matchup.

Tulane Green Wave Betting Preview

The Tulane Green Wave are 2-2 this year after they defeated Louisiana by a score of 41-33 last week. Tulane led 17-13 at halftime and never trailed in the second half in the win. The Green Wave were out gained by a total of 413-355, lost the turnover battle 2-0, and went 9-14 on third down in the game. Darian Mensah threw for 83 yards and one touchdown, while Makhi Hughes rushed for 166 yards and one score.

Tulane defeated SELA by a score of 52-0 in their first game, but they lost two decently close games against Kansas State and Oklahoma prior to the Louisiana win. The Tulane offense has scored 37.8 points per game with 207.3 passing yards and 192 rushing yards per game, while the defense has allowed 37.8 points against per game this season. The Green Wave have gone 50% on third down and 3-5 on fourth down so far this season. Darian Mensah has completed 60% of his passes for 796 yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions, while Makhi Hughes has rushed for 424 yards and three scores.

South Florida Bulls Betting Preview

The South Florida Bulls are 2-2 this season after they lost to Miami by a score of 50-15 in their last game. South Florida led 15-14 in the second quarter, but they allowed the last 36 points in the game for the loss. The Bulls were out gained by a total of 592-365, lost the turnover battle 2-1, and went 7-17 on third down in the game. Byrum Brown threw for 254 yards, while Sean Atkins caught 11 passes for 125 yards in the game.

South Florida also lost to Alabama by a score of 42-16 in week two, but they do have wins over Bethune-Cookman and Southern Miss. The USF offense has scored 32 points per game with 192.8 passing yards and 217 rushing yards per game, while the defense has allowed 29.8 points against per game this season. The Bulls have gone 38.5% on third down and 4-8 on fourth down through four games. Byrum Brown has completed 57.9% of his passes for 702 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 281 yards and two scores this year.

Why South Florida will cover

  • South Florida has won each of its last four games against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • South Florida has covered the spread in each of its last four games against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • Tulane has failed to cover the spread in four of its last five home games against conference opponents.

Total Points Facts

  • Each of Tulane’s last seven games as a home favorite have gone UNDER the total points line.
  • Each of South Florida’s last seven road games against conference opponents have gone OVER the total points line.

Matchup/League Facts

  • Tulane ranks 14th among FBS teams for Q3 points per game this season (10.5).
  • Tulane ranks T24th among FBS teams for H2 points per game this season (18.8).
  • South Florida ranks T128th among FBS teams for Q4 opponent points per game this season (11.3).
  • South Florida ranks T127th among FBS teams for Q4 points per game this season (2.5).

Tulane vs South Florida Prediction

Tulane comes into this matchup after a nice bounce back win over a solid Louisiana team on the road, and they will look to start conference play strong here. Both of these teams scheduled some difficult non-conference games, but Tulane definitely looked better against Oklahoma and Kansas State than USF did against Miami and Alabama. I like both offenses in this game and we should see plenty of points. This matchup could easily come down to the last possession, so I will take the points with South Florida.

The Tulane Green Wave and the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns meet Saturday in college football action from Cajun Field. Here’s a Louisiana vs Tulane prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Louisiana vs Tulane pick.

Tulane Green Wave Betting Preview

This year Tulane kicked off their campaign with a matchup against Southeastern Louisiana. The Green Wave didn’t have any issues in that one and rolled to a 52-0 blowout win. In game two versus Kansas State, Tulane held strong but was eventually bested 34-27.

Back on Saturday versus Oklahoma, Tulane was down 24-13 going into the final quarter. The Green Wave ended up with a 34-19 loss. QB Darian Mensah logged 166 yards with one TD and a pick. Makhi Hughes carried 19 times for 71 rush yards.

Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Betting Preview

Over on the Louisiana side, they took on Grambling State in their August 31 opener. The Cajuns didn’t have too many problems in that one and rolled to the win 40-10. QB Ben Woolridge finished with 308 yards, three scores, and a pick. Harvey Broussard caught four balls for 76 yards and a score.

Likewise for game two against Kennesaw State back on September 7. Louisiana won that one easily 34-10. Woolridge threw for 189 yards and a score in the victory, but Zylan Perry and Elijah Davis did most of the damage. That RB duo posted a combined 184 yards and three scores off 21 carries.

Why the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns will win

  • Louisiana has won each of its last 13 games against non-conference opponents at Cajun Field.
  • Tulane has lost four of its last five games.
  • Louisiana has covered the spread in 13 of its last 16 games as an underdog against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • Tulane has failed to cover the spread in three of its last four road games.
  • Louisiana has won the first half in 10 of its last 11 games against non-conference opponents at Cajun Field.
  • Louisiana has won the first quarter in seven of its last eight games against non-conference opponents at Cajun Field.

Why the Tulane Green Wave will win

  • Tulane has won each of its last nine road games against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • Louisiana has lost each of its last three games when playing with a rest advantage.
  • Tulane has covered the spread in each of its last four September road games against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • Louisiana has failed to cover the spread in each of its last three games against non-conference opponents at Cajun Field.
  • Tulane has won the first half in four of its last five games against opponents from the Sun Belt Conference.
  • Tulane has won the first quarter in four of its last five games against opponents from the Sun Belt Conference.

Total Points Facts

  • Each of Tulane’s last six games as a favorite has gone UNDER the total points line.
  • Six of Louisiana’s last seven September games as an underdog against non-AP-ranked teams have gone OVER the total points line.

Louisiana vs Tulane Prediction

I might take a stab at Louisiana here. You could certainly make a case either way, though. The Cajuns have had an extra week to rest and prepare for this one, and they’re coming off a nice win. Louisiana posted 454 total yards (257 rushing), 7.8 yards per play, and 21 first downs versus Kennesaw State in their last outing.

As for Tulane, they didn’t post too bad of an effort versus a great Oklahoma team last weekend. The Wave coughed up two turnovers and had nine penalties, though. This next matchup will be significantly easier—that said I still like the Cajuns to cover.
