In this article, we will formulate a Georgetown vs Nebraska prediction for this College Basketball game on Wednesday, April 2, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this game in the quarterfinals of the CBC Tournament. The winner of this game will meet Butler or Boise State in the semifinals.

Nebraska Cornhuskers Betting Preview

The Nebraska Cornhuskers (18-14, 17-15 ATS) disappointingly ended the regular season with five consecutive defeats and missed out on the conference tournament after finishing in 16th place in the Big Ten standings. Nebraska will try to make amends at the CBC tournament, where the Cornhuskers opened with an 86-78 victory over Arizona State.

Nebraska is averaging 75.7 PPG (134th) and is allowing 73.0 PPG (209th). The Cornhuskers are getting 35.1 RPG (216th) and dishing out 13.8 APG (182nd). Brice Williams is the team’s top performer with 20.3 PPG, 4.1 RPG, 2.8 APG, and 1.1 SPG. Juwan Gary has 14.1 PPG, 4.8 RPG, and 1.2 SPG, while Connor Essegian contributes 10.6 PPG and 2.8 RPG.

Georgetown Hoyas Betting Preview

The Georgetown Hoyas (18-15, 18-15 ATS) didn’t play well late in the regular season as they suffered four losses in five games. Georgetown still secured the No. 7 seed for the Big East tournament but failed to get past the opening round as DePaul was better, 71-67. Here at the CBC, the Hoyas edged out Washington State 85-82 in the first round.

Georgetown averages 72.1 PPG (246th) and allows 69.2 PPG (87th). The Hoyas are 203rd in rebounds (35.4) and 140th in assists (14.3). Micah Peavy leads the team with 17.2 PPG, 5.8 RPG, 3.6 APG, and 2.3 SPG. Thomas Sorber follows him with 14.5 PPG, a team-high 8.5 RPG, 2.4 APG, 1.5 SPG, and a team-high 2.0 BPG, while Jayden Epps chips in 12.8 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 2.3 APG, and 1.4 SPG.

Why Georgetown will cover

  • Nebraska has lost four of its last five games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Georgetown has won each of its last three games against non-conference opponents.

Georgetown vs Nebraska Prediction

These teams have never met before. I know that Nebraska comes from one of the strongest conferences in basketball, but Georgetown definitely has a chance here. The Hoyas have a stronger defense, and even though they will play without their second-best scorer Sorber, I am sure they will put up a fight and stay close here. Georgetown has covered the Spread in 16 of its last 28 games, while the Hoyas have hit the Team Total Over in 9 of their previous 12 games, which gives me optimism they will score enough to cover. I am backing Georgetown to cover.

This Monday night, the NCAA presents Draftkings basketball fans with a matchup featuring the Georgetown Hoyas and the Washington State Cougars. Let’s take a look at this game from a DFS perspective.

Before we dive into the Georgetown Hoyas vs. Washington State Cougars game let’s review the rules for the Draftkings single game showdown contest.

Draftkings Single Game Showdown Contest Rules

You have $50,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your team captain. The captain accumulates 1.5 times the standard fantasy points. Additionally, the captain is 1.5 times the standard cost of the flex position.

The remaining four players in your lineup will receive the standard fantasy points. Having stated that, it is highly important for you to identify the correct player for your captain position if you hope to win a large field DFS GPP (guaranteed prize pool) showdown contest.

If you have additional questions regarding the rules for the single game showdown contest, I recommend that you check out the Draftkings website for more details.

*I recommend that all readers review the starting lineups for both teams prior to setting your DFS lineup for this one game slate.

Here are my Draftkings picks for this evening’s Georgetown vs. Washington State matchup.

Draftkings NCAA Basketball Showdown Picks

Captain-Ethan Price, Forward, Washington State Cougars $7,300

The Washington State Cougars boast a high-powered offense, averaging 76.2 points per game in the team’s last ten outings. A big reason why the Cougars have been successful from an offensive perspective is talented forward Ethan Price. Let’s review Price’s relevant player data from this season to better shed light on his contributions to his team.

In the 33 games that forward Ethan Price has played for the Washington State Cougars in the 2024 NCAA season (including postseason games), Price is averaging a robust 13.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.8 blocks and 0.5 steals a game.

Looking closer at the data just presented, in the 33 games that Ethan Price has played this season, Price has compiled a 49.5% field goal percentage, a 38.3% three-point percentage and a 79.5% free throw percentage.

More recently, in the Washington State Cougars 94-77 win over the Loyola Marymount Lions earlier this month, Washington State forward Ethan Price certainly played at a high level. More specifically, Price accumulated 22 points, five rebounds and four assists in the Washington State Cougars victory over the Lions.

Examining the data just presented more closely, in the Cougars win over Loyola Marymount, Ethan Price tallied 34.3 Draftkings points. Clearly, Ethan Price can post a high number of DFS points on any given night.

As I noted in the rules section above, selecting the correct player at the captain position for a Draftkings NCAA showdown lineup is absolutely vital if you hope to win a large field GPP (guaranteed prize pool) DFS contest. Keep that in mind as you construct your lineups.

In my opinion, Ethan Price is the most likely player to post the most Draftkings points on this one game DFS slate. Having stated that, I am rolling with Washington State Cougars forward Ethan Price at the captain position for this one game Draftkings NCAA Showdown contest.

Flex Plays

LeJuan Watts, Forward, Washington State Cougars $11,000

In addition to Ethan Price, forward LeJuan Watts has been a key contributor for the Washington State Cougars this season.

In the 33 games LeJuan Watts has played for the Washington State Cougars in the 2024 NCAA season, Watts is averaging a rather impressive 13.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.5 blocks a game.

In conclusion, I fully expect LeJuan Watts to continue his quality play in this evening’s matchup with the Georgetown Hoyas.

Additional flex plays I like to perform well (Draftkings price noted): Micah Peavy, Guard (Georgetown Hoyas) $12,000: Jayden Epps, Guard (Georgetown Hoyas) $9,200.

Georgetown Hoyas Betting Preview

The Georgetown Hoyas are 17-15 (8-12) this season after they lost to DePaul by a score of 71-67 in the Big East Tournament. Georgetown led 40-38 at halftime, but they only scored 27 points in the second half for the loss. The Hoyas shot 41.4% from the field, 25% on three pointers, and 70% on free throws in the game. Micah Peavy led Georgetown with 26 points and seven rebounds, while Drew Fielder added 11 points and 11 rebounds in the game.

Prior to that loss, the Hoyas lost to DePaul again by a score of 83-77, but did beat Villanova by a score of 75-73 before that. Georgetown has lost five of their last six games and they finished seventh in the Big East standings with an 8-12 record. Georgetown has scored 71.7 points per game and they have allowed 68.8 points against per game, while also averaging 35.2 rebounds and 14.3 assists per game this season. Georgetown is shooting 44.5% from the field, 70.6% on free throws, and 31.8% on three pointers this season.

Washington State Cougars Betting Preview

The Washington State Cougars are 19-14 (8-10) this year after they lost to San Francisco by a score of 86-75 in their last game. Washington State trailed 34-32 at halftime and allowed 52 points in the second half in the loss. The Cougars shot 48.3% from the field, 38.1% on three pointers, and 55% on free throws in the game. Ethan Price led Washington State with 26 points and six rebounds, while LeJuan Watts added 20 point and three assists in the game.

Prior to that loss, the Cougars defeated Loyola Marymount by a score of 94-77 and Pepperdine by a score of 90-83. Washington State has won three of their last four games and they finished tied for sixth in the WCC standings with an 8-10 record. Washington State has scored 78.8 points per game and they have allowed 78.4 points against per game, while also averaging 34 rebounds and 16.9 assists per game this season. Nate Calmese is averaging 15.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game, while LeJuan Watts is averaging 13.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game this year. Washington State is shooting 49.1% from the field, 69.8% on free throws, and 36.5% on three pointers this season.

Why Washington State will beat Georgetown

  • Washington State has won each of its last 11 Monday games against non-Conference opponents.
  • Georgetown has lost each of its last six night games played at neutral venues.
  • Washington State has won the first half in each of its last 14 Monday games against non-Conference opponents.

Total Points Facts

  • Each of Georgetown’s last 14 games against non-AP-ranked opponents at a neutral venue have produced a total of 151 or fewer points.
  • Twenty-five of Washington State’s last 26 games against non-Conference opponents at neutral venues have produced a total of 157 or fewer points.

Washington State vs Georgetown Prediction

Washington State comes into this matchup as a very high scoring team, but they also allow a ton of points on the defensive end of the court. Washington State did finish the season with some success, as they won three of their last four games. Georgetown is the much better defensive team in this matchup, but they are shooting just 44.5% from the field. The Hoyas have lost five of their last six games, including two bad losses to DePaul. Georgetown is probably the better team in this matchup, but Washington State is shooting 49% from the field and I think that offense will keep them in the game. Take the Cougars with the points.

The DePaul Blue Demons and Georgetown Hoyas meet Wednesday in the college basketball Big East First Round at Madison Square Garden. Here’s a Georgetown vs DePaul Prediction. This article will include a Georgetown vs DePaul Pick.

DePaul Blue Demons Betting Preview

The DePaul Blue Demons recently played Creighton, Butler, and Providence. DePaul has a chance to win three straight games for the first time since November 19-29.

The DePaul Blue Demons are averaging 72.6 points on 44.4 percent shooting and allowing 74.1 points on 45.5 percent shooting. CJ Gunn is averaging 12.8 points and 4 rebounds, while Isaiah Rivera is averaging 10.7 points and 3.9 rebounds. Jacob Meyer is dishing 0.8 assists and NJ Benson is grabbing 6.1 rebounds. The DePaul Blue Demons are shooting 34.3 percent from beyond the arc and 70.9 percent from the free throw line. The DePaul Blue Demons are allowing 35 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 31.5 rebounds per game.

Georgetown Hoyas Betting Preview

The Georgetown Hoyas recently played UCONN, Marquette, and Villanova. Georgetown enters the tournament with losses in four of its last five games.

The Georgetown Hoyas are averaging 71.8 points on 44.6 percent shooting and allowing 68.7 points on 42.4 percent shooting. Micah Peavy is averaging 16.9 points and 5.7 rebounds, while Thomas Sorber is averaging 14.5 points and 8.5 rebounds. Jayden Epps is the third double-digit scorer and Malik Mack is grabbing 3.8 rebounds. The Georgetown Hoyas are shooting 32 percent from beyond the arc and 70.6 percent from the free throw line. The Georgetown Hoyas are allowing 33.7 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 32.2 rebounds per game.

Why the Georgetown Hoyas will win

  • DePaul has lost 28 of its last 30 night games against the Big East Conference.
  • DePaul has lost the first half in each of its last six night games against the Big East Conference.

Why the DePaul Blue Demons will win

  • Georgetown has lost each of its last seven games at Madison Square Garden.
  • DePaul has won six of its last seven night games against Georgetown.
  • DePaul has won the first half in each of its last four night games against Georgetown.

Total Points Facts

  • Each of Georgetown’s last nine Conference Tournament games have produced a total of 143 or fewer points.
  • Seven of DePaul’s last eight night games against non-AP-ranked opponents at a neutral venue have produced a total of 141 or fewer points.

Matchup/League Facts

  • DePaul ranks 45th among Division 1 teams for three-point field goal attempts per game this season (27.1).

Georgetown vs DePaul Injury Report

Julius Halaifonua and Thomas Sober are out for Georgetown, while Caleb Williams is questionable with an undisclosed issue. David Skogman is out for DePaul, while NJ Benson is questionable with a hand injury.

Georgetown vs DePaul Prediction

DePaul won both games against Georgetown this season, which includes a six-point win just a few days ago. With two straight wins, the best ball DePaul has played since November, you can talk yourself into the underdog. However, Georgetown is still the better team overall and while losses in four of its last five isn’t ideal, the Hoyas were big underdogs in all of those games, outside of the DePaul matchup. I don’t believe the lesser team is capable of winning three times in a season. I’ll lay the points with Georgetown in the first round of the Big East Tournament.

The Villanova Wildcats and Georgetown Hoyas meet Tuesday in college basketball action at the Capital One Arena. Here’s a Georgetown vs Villanova Prediction. This article will include a Georgetown vs Villanova Pick.

Villanova Wildcats Betting Preview

The Villanova Wildcats beat Marquette, Seton Hall, and Butler. Villanova has won six of its last eight games and has a chance at the fifth seed in the Big East.

The Villanova Wildcats are averaging 74.2 points on 46.6 percent shooting and allowing 67.5 points on 42.7 percent shooting. Eric Dixon is averaging 23.6 points and 5.5 rebounds, while Wooga Poplar is averaging 14.4 points and 6.8 rebounds. Jordan Longino is the third double-digit scorer and Jhamir Brickus is dishing 5 assists. The Villanova Wildcats are shooting 40.3 percent from beyond the arc and 81.5 percent from the free throw line. The Villanova Wildcats are allowing 34.2 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 30.7 rebounds per game.

Georgetown Hoyas Betting Preview

The Georgetown Hoyas lost to Marquette and UCONN, and they play DePaul next. It’s senior night for a Georgetown roster that has one senior in Micah Peavy.

The Georgetown Hoyas are averaging 71.6 points on 44.7 percent shooting and allowing 68.1 points on 41.9 percent shooting. Micah Peavy is averaging 16.4 points and 5.6 rebounds, while Thomas Sorber is averaging 14.5 points and 8.5 rebounds. Jayden Epps is the third double-digit scorer and Malik Mack is grabbing 3.9 rebounds. The Georgetown Hoyas are shooting 31.3 percent from beyond the arc and 70.4 percent from the free throw line. The Georgetown Hoyas are allowing 33.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 32.4 rebounds per game.

Why the Georgetown Hoyas will win

  • Georgetown has won 11 of its last 12 home games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Villanova has lost each of its last five Tuesday road games.
  • The home team has won the first half in six of Georgetown’s last seven games.

Why the Villanova Wildcats will win

  • Georgetown has lost each of its last 12 Tuesday games against the Big East Conference.
  • Villanova has won eight of its last nine road games against Georgetown.
  • Georgetown has lost the first half in seven of its last eight night games against the Big East Conference.

Total Points Facts

  • Each of the last six night games between Villanova and Georgetown has produced a total of 139 or fewer points.
  • Each of Villanova’s last five road games against non-AP-ranked opponents has produced a total of 137 or fewer points.

Matchup/League Facts

  • Georgetown ranks 50th among Division 1 teams for steals per game this season (8.2).
  • Villanova is the only team to ranks in the top five for both three-point percentage and free-throw percentage this season.
  • Villanova ranks 2nd among Division 1 teams for three-point percentage this season (40.3%).

Georgetown vs Villanova Injury Report

Georgetown will be without Julius Halaifonua and Thomas Sorber. Villanova will be without Nnanna Njoku due to a knee injury.

Georgetown vs Villanova Prediction

Georgetown beat Villanova back in January on the road as a 7.5-point underdog and is now at home, where the Hoyas have seen 13 of their 16 wins come this season. It’s senior night for Micah Peavy, so the crowd will be into it and the players will want to send him off a winner. However, Georgetown has been a mess as of late and isn’t a team I’m excited to get behind. Villanova has won six of its last eight games and has locked down defensively. Villanova has allowed less than 70 points in six of its last nine games. It’s hard to go against Villanova in this spot. I’ll lay the bucket with the road team.

Georgetown vs Marquette Injury Report

Georgetown will be without Julius Halaifonua and Thomas Sorber. Marquette will be without Sean Jones and Al Amadou.

Georgetown vs Marquette Prediction

Marquette is the more talented team and has proven to be more consistent, but it’s also a team that’s been a letdown in disappointing spots. Marquette has also seen five of its seven losses come on the road. Georgetown has shown flashes of being a respectable team and has seen 13 of its 16 wins come at home. Georgetown is a profitable 16-12 ATS on the season, while Marquette is just 13-15 ATS. Georgetown has covered its last three games and covered the game against Marquette a little more than a month ago. Give me Georgetown and the points at home.

I get the case to be made for UConn in this matchup as the Huskies have stepped it up with McNeeley in the lineup while Georgetown is missing Thomas Sorber for the rest of the year. That being said, I’m still not sold on this UConn team that’s only won once by 11 points since the beginning of December. Ed Cooley teams pride themselves on playing strong defense, and I think the Hoyas keep this one respectable. Give me Georgetown and the points here.

The Georgetown Hoyas and Creighton Bluejays meet on Sunday in college basketball action at CHI Health Center Omaha. Here’s a Georgetown vs Creighton Prediction. This article will include a Georgetown vs Creighton Pick.

Georgetown Hoyas Betting Preview

The Georgetown Hoyas (16-10, 14-12 ATS) won 12 of their opening 14 games this season, but from January 8, they are 4-8. Georgetown did win three of the previous five games, including the most recent one against Providence at home. Georgetown is 7th in the Big East standings and will be looking to stay ahead of Butler and Providence in the remaining games of the regular season.

Georgetown averages 71.7 PPG (263rd) and allows 66.4 PPG (40th). The Hoyas are 150th in rebounds (36.3) and 126th in assists (14.8). Micah Peavy leads the team with 16.0 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 3.7 APG, and a team-high 2.5 SPG. Thomas Sorber follows him with 14.5 PPG, a team-high 8.5 RPG, 1.5 SPG, and a team-high 2.0 BPG, while Malik Mack chips in with 12.6 PPG, 3.8 RPG, a team-high 4.6 APG, and 1.4 SPG.

Creighton Bluejays Betting Preview

The Creighton Bluejays (18-8, 16-8-2 ATS) enjoyed their best run of the season as they recorded nine straight victories, but that positive run ended with a couple of defeats to UConn and St. John’s. Creighton will play three of the remaining regular season games at home, and although it will be hard to climb to the top of the Big East standings, the Bluejays will try to stay in 2nd place behind St. John’s.

Creighton is averaging 75.2 PPG (154th) and is allowing 68.7 PPG (83rd). The Bluejays are getting 37.5 RPG (93rd) and are having 16.8 APG (30th). Ryan Kalkbrenner is the team’s top scorer with 18.7 PPG, along with a team-high 8.5 APG and a team-high 2.8 BPG. Steven Ashworth adds 17.0 PPG, a team-high 7.0 APG, and 4.1 RPG, while Pop Isaacs has 16.3 PPG, 4.8 RPG, and 3.9 APG.

Why Creighton will beat Georgetown

  • Creighton has won each of its last 15 day games at CHI Health Center Omaha.
  • Georgetown has lost 17 of its last 19 away games when playing with a rest disadvantage.
  • Creighton has won the first half in 14 of its last 15 day games at CHI Health Center Omaha.

Georgetown vs Creighton Prediction

Creighton won six of the last seven H2H encounters, but the Hoyas shocked the Bluejays with a massive 81-57 victory in December. Creighton will be looking for revenge here, and that’s not the only reason I am going to back the hosts. The Bluejays won each of the last three H2H clashes at home, where they are 12-2 this year. Georgetown lost five of the last six road games, and even though Creighton lost the previous two games, I am more than sure the Jays will respond with a comfortable W on Sunday.

The Providence Friars and the Georgetown Hoyas meet Wednesday in college basketball action from the Capital One Arena. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Georgetown vs Providence Prediction.

Providence Recap

The Providence Friars come into this game looking to add on to their 75-62 win over Villanova last time out to improve to 12-14 on the year. After this game, Providence will head on the road again to take on Marquette.

Friars Snap Four-Game Losing Streak

Jayden Pierre logged 13 PPG with 2.7 RPG and 3.2 APG. Bensley Joseph has 12.6 PPG with 4 RPG and a team-high 3.2 APG to lead the Friars in assists to cap off the group of double-digit scorers for Providence so far this season. Wesley Cardet Jr. has 9.3 PPG with 3.5 RPG while Corey Floyd Jr. has 9.4 PPG with 4.6 RPG while Oswin Erhunmwunse has 5.4 RPG as well on the year. As a team, Providence is averaging 72.4 PPG on 44.8% shooting from the field, 36.4% from three, and 68.5% from the foul line this season.

Why the Providence Friars will win

  • Providence has won each of its last eight games against Georgetown.
  • Georgetown has lost each of its last six night games at Capital One Arena following a road loss.

Georgetown Recap

The Georgetown Hoyas come into this game looking to bounce back from a 97-86 loss at the hands of Butler last time out to 15-10 on the year. After this game, Georgetown will head on the road for a game against Creighton.

Hoyas Looking To Find Some Consistency

Micah Peavy leads the Hoyas in scoring with 15.4 PPG along with 5.4 RPG and 3.6 APG in addition to 2.4 SPG while Thomas Sorber has 14.5 PPG with a team-high 8.5 RPG to lead the Hoyas in rebounding. Jayden Epps has 12 PPG and Malik Mack has 12.8 PPG with 3.9 RPG and 4.7 APG as well to lead the Hoyas in assists while capping off the group of double-digit scorers for Georgetown so far this season. As a team, Georgetown is averaging 70.9 PPG on 44.8% shooting from the field, 30% from three, and 70.7% from the foul line this season.

Why the Georgetown Hoyas will win

  • Georgetown has won 10 of its last 11 home games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Providence has lost five of its last six road games.

Total Points Facts

  • Each of the last five night games between Providence and Georgetown has produced a total of 136 or fewer points.
  • Ten of Providence’s last 12 games against non-AP-ranked opponents have produced a total of 142+ points.

Georgetown vs Providence Prediction

I’m on Georgetown in this one. I get the case to be made for Providence catching points as it can be hard to trust this Georgetown team with consistent performances. However, one win over Villanova (in a game I think had more to do with Villanova losing it than it did about Providence winning it) isn’t going to make me forget about the issues that Providence had defensively when Providence is a team that’s hung their hat on their defense for some time now. Georgetown’s played their best basketball at home this season and side by side, I think they’re the more talented team by a fair margin so I’ll lay the points with the Hoyas in this one.

The Georgetown Hoyas and the Butler Bulldogs meet Saturday in college basketball action from the Hinkle Fieldhouse. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Butler vs Georgetown Prediction.

Georgetown Recap

The Georgetown Hoyas come into this game looking to build on their 60-46 win over Seton Hall last time out to improve to 15-9 on the year. After this game, Georgetown will head home for a matchup with the Providence Friars.

Hoyas Looking To Find Some Consistency

Thomas Sorber leads the Hoyas in scoring and rebounding with 14.7 PPG and 8.9 RPG while Jayden Epps has 12.3 PPG with 2.2 APG. Micah Peavy has 14.4 PPG with 5.4 RPG and 3.3 APG and Malik Mack has 13.1 PPG with 4 RPG and 4.6 APG as well to lead the Hoyas in assists while capping off the group of double-digit scorers for Georgetown so far this season. As a team, Georgetown is averaging 70.8 PPG on 45.1% shooting from the field, 30.9% from three and 71.2% from the foul line this season.

Why the Georgetown Hoyas will win

  • Georgetown has won five of its last six day games against non-AP-ranked opponents.

Butler Recap

The Butler Bulldogs come into this game looking to add on to their 82-81 win over Providence last time out to improve to 11-13 on the year. After this game, Butler will head back on the road for a game against Xavier.

Bulldogs Win Back-To-Back Games

Jahmyl Telfort leads Butler in scoring and assists with 15.7 PPG and 3.4 APG along with 4.5 RPG while Pierre Brooks II has 14.8 PPG with 5.3 RPG and Patrick McCaffery has 12.2 PPG with 5 RPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Butler up to this point in the year. Andre Screen has chipped in 8.3 PPG with a team-high 5.9 RPG to lead the Bulldogs in rebounding while Finley Bizjack has 8.1 PPG with 3 RPG and 2.1 APG and Kolby King has 5.8 PPG with 4.5 RPG as well. As a team, Butler is averaging 73.3 PPG on 45.6% shooting from the field, 36.9% from behind the arc and 74.2% from the foul line so far this season.

Why the Butler Bulldogs will win

  • Georgetown has lost 12 of its last 14 road day games against the Big East Conference.
  • Butler has won five of its last six day games at Hinkle Fieldhouse against non-AP-ranked opponents.

Total Points Facts

  • Nine of Georgetown’s last 10 road day games against the Big East Conference have produced a total of 146+ points.
  • Eight of Butler’s last nine games against Conference opponents have produced a total of 143+ points.

Butler vs Georgetown Prediction

I’m on the under in this game. Georgetown hasn’t been the sharpest offensive unit in Big East play and I don’t know if I expect that to change here either. However, one thing that Ed Cooley teams are usually predicated on is good defense and being well-coached. I think the defense travels here, and gives an average Butler team a hard time on that end of the floor. The first meeting between these two finished 73-70 earlier this season and a similar first to 70 wins kind of game would not surprise me here in the slightest. Give me the under in this game.

In this article, we will formulate a Georgetown vs Seton Hall Prediction for this college basketball game on Saturday, February 8th, at the Capital One Arena. Let’s take a look at a Georgetown Hoyas vs Seton Hall Pirates pick.

Seton Hall Has Issues

Seton Hall has had some major issues this season and they have lost eight games in a row. Two games ago against DePaul they lost 74-57 and in the last game against Butler, they ended up losing 84-54. At halftime against Butler, they were down 48-20 and they couldn’t find a way back. Seton Hall shot only 34.4 percent from the field and 11.8 percent from behind the three-point line and that led to the defeat. The only real bright spot for the offense was Prince Aligbe, who scored 17 points and six rebounds.

Seton Hall sits with a 6-17 record overall and they have gone 9-14 against the spread. Straight up away from home, they have gone 0-7. Seton Hall on the season, is averaging 63.1 points, while their defense is giving up 69.9 points per game. The offense is ranked 360th in the league, while the defense is ranked 127th in the league. This just isn’t a very talented offensive team, and that has really hurt their chances. Isaiah Coleman has been the top player, averaging 14.6 points while shooting 38.7 percent from the field.

Can Georgetown Bounce Back?

Georgetown, in the last game, faced off against Xavier, and they ended up losing 74-69. At halftime against Xavier they were down 30-26 and they couldn’t bounce back in the second half on the way to the defeat. Two games ago against Butler they played a lot better, scoring 73 points, and they ended up winning by three points. Even though Georgetown shot 11.8 percent from deep, hitting only two of the shots, they still were able to come out on top.

Georgetown sits with a 14-9 record overall and they have gone 12-11 against the spread so far this season. Georgetown is averaging 70.7 points while their defense is giving up 65.7 points per game. The offense is ranked 269th in the league, while the defense is ranked 38th in the league. Micah Peavy is averaging 14.9 points while shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 33.8 percent from behind the three-point line.

Why Georgetown Will Beat Xavier

Seton Hall has lost each of its last eight day games.

Georgetown has won eight of its last nine games at Capital One Arena against non-AP-ranked opponents.

Georgetown has won the first half in eight of its last 10 home games against non-AP-ranked opponents.

Georgetown vs Seton Hall Prediction

Georgetown is the better team, and they are going to have no issue getting the job done here. This Seton Hall offense is averaging only 63.1 points per game, and that type of offensive output just isn’t good enough. Seton Hall is going to even struggle to get to that 63.1 points per game, and Georgetown will pull away. Georgetown has a balanced attack, and that attack will run up the score. Back Georgetown against the spread.

The Georgetown Hoyas and the Xavier Musketeers meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Madison Square Garden. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Xavier vs Georgetown Prediction.

Georgetown Recap

The Georgetown Hoyas come into this game looking to add to their 73-70 win over Butler last time out to improve to 14-8 on the year. After this game, Georgetown will head home for a game against Seton Hall.

Hoyas Looking To Build Momentum

Thomas Sorber leads the Hoyas in scoring and rebounding with 14.7 PPG and 8.9 RPG while Jayden Epps has 12.3 PPG with 2.2 APG. Micah Peavy has 14.4 PPG with 5.4 RPG and 3.3 APG and Malik Mack has 13.1 PPG with 4 RPG and 4.6 APG as well to lead the Hoyas in assists while capping off the group of double-digit scorers for Georgetown so far this season. As a team, Georgetown is averaging 70.8 PPG on 45.1% shooting from the field, 30.9% from three, and 71.2% from the foul line this season.

Why the Georgetown Hoyas will win

  • Georgetown has won 12 of its last 16 games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Xavier has lost six of its last eight night games against the Big East Conference.

Xavier Recap

The Xavier Musketeers come into this game looking to bounce back from an 86-77 loss to Creighton last time out to sit at 13-9 on the year. After this game, Xavier will head on the road for a game against Villanova.

Musketeers Looking To Find Consistency

Zach Freemantle leads the Musketeers in scoring and rebounding with 16.5 PPG and 7.4 RPG while Ryan Conwell added 16.3 PPG with 2.2 APG and Dayvion McKnight has 10.3 PPG with a team-high 4.7 APG to lead the Musketeers in assists up to this point in the year, rounding out the trio of double-digit scorers for Xavier so far this season. Dailyn Swain’s also added 9.9 PPG with 5.1 RPG and 2.2 APG and Marcus Foster has 7.9 PPG with 4.5 RPG and 1.8 APG as well on the year. As a team, Xavier is averaging 77 PPG on 45.3% shooting from the field, 38.3% from three, and 77.8% from the foul line this season.

Why the Xavier Musketeers will win

  • Georgetown has lost each of its last 11 Tuesday games against the Big East Conference.
  • Xavier has won each of its last seven home games against Georgetown.

Total Points Facts

  • Eight of Xavier’s last nine home games against Conference opponents have produced a total of 142+ points.
  • Seven of Georgetown’s last eight games at Cintas Center have produced a total of 153+ points.

Xavier vs Georgetown Prediction

I’m on Georgetown in this game. I get the case for Xavier to be favored here, but the Hoyas for me are a team that can go toe-to-toe and match what Xavier is bringing to the table here. The Musketeers have been inconsistent in some of their recent games, and while Georgetown’s taken it on the chin in some of their recent games, this to me feels like a spread that feels a few points too big. I think this is a 3-5-point win for Xavier, so I’ll take Georgetown and the points in this matchup.

In this article, we will formulate a Georgetown vs Butler Prediction for this college basketball game on Friday, January 31st, at the Capital One Arena. Let’s take a look at the Georgetown Hoyas vs Butler Bulldogs pick.

How Can Butler Bounce Back?

Butler didn’t look awful in the last game against Marquette but they couldn’t make the winning shots and ended up losing 78-69. At halftime, they were down 42-25 but in the second half the offense scored only 27 points and they ended up losing. Butler allowed Marquette to shoot 50.8 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from behind the three-point line. Two games ago against DePaul, Butler ended up winning 86-69.

Butler comes into this game with a 9-12 record overall and they have gone 10-11 against the spread. The over has hit in 11 of the 21 games so far this season. Butler is averaging 73 points while their defense is giving up 72 points per game. The offense is ranked 226th in the league while the defense is ranked 203rd in the league. Jahmyl Telfort is averaging 16.2 points while shooting 44.7 percent from the field and 32.5 percent from behind the three-point line.

Why Georgetown Will Beat Butler

  • Butler has lost each of its last six road night games against Conference opponents.
  • Georgetown has won seven of its last eight games at Capital One Arena against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Georgetown has won the first half in seven of its last eight games at Capital One Arena against non-AP-ranked opponents.

Georgetown Blown Out

Georgetown faced off against St. John’s in the last game and they really didn’t look good. Georgetown faced off against St John’s and they only scored 41 points. The defense wasn’t awful giving up 66 points, but they still didn’t have much of a shot. Malik Mack put up 13 points, five rebounds, and three assists. He was the only player to score in double figures and they need to get the offense going here.

Georgetown is averaging 70.7 points while their defense is giving up 65.1 points per game. The offense is ranked 273rd in the league while the defense is ranked 32nd in the league. One issue for this team is they aren’t getting to the free-throw line. They are averaging only 10.86 free throws per game which is 338th in the league. Thomas Sorber is averaging 14.4 points while shooting 51.2 percent from the field and 18.8 points per game.

Georgetown vs Butler Prediction

Away from home, this season has been a struggle for Butler and they are going to have some major issues getting going here. Georgetown’s defense overall this season actually hasn’t been bad and they are giving up only 65.1 points per game. Butler’s offense is going to really struggle to get any sort of offense going here, and they will move to 0-6 on the road. Back Georgetown to win this game and cover the spread.

In this article, we will formulate a Georgetown vs St. John’s prediction for this College Basketball game on Tuesday, January 28th at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this College Basketball matchup.

Georgetown Hoyas Betting Preview

The Georgetown Hoyas are 13-7 (4-5) this year after they lost to Providence by a score of 78-68 in their last game. Georgetown trailed 38-33 at halftime and allowed 40 points in the second half in the loss. The Hoyas shot 46.7% from the field, 30.8% on three-pointers, and 66.7% on free throws in the game. Micah Peavy led Georgetown with 27 points and two rebounds, while Thomas Sorber added 25 points and 15 rebounds in the game.

Prior to that loss, the Hoyas defeated Villanova by a score of 64-63 but did lose to DePaul by a score of 73-68 before that. Georgetown has lost five of their last six games and they are currently tied for seventh in the Big East standings. Georgetown has scored 72.2 points per game and they have allowed 65.1 points against per game, while also averaging 37.0 rebounds and 14.9 assists per game this season. Thomas Sorber is averaging 14.8 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game, while Micah Peavy is averaging 14.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game this year. Georgetown is shooting 45.8% from the field, 72.7% on free throws, and 32.2% on three-pointers this season.

St. John’s Red Storm Betting Preview

The St. John’s Red Storm are 17-3 (8-1) this season after they defeated Xavier in overtime by a score of 79-71 in their last game. St. John’s trailed 40-30 at halftime, but they held Xavier to just 25 points in the second half, before getting the win in overtime. The Red Storm shot 46.7% from the field, 8.3% on three-pointers, and 81.5% on free throws in the game. Kadary Richmond led St. John’s with 19 points and seven rebounds, while RJ Luis Jr. added 16 points and seven rebounds in the win.

Prior to that game, the Red Storm defeated Seton Hall by a score of 79-51 and Georgetown by a score of 63-58. St. John’s has won six games in a row and they are currently tied for first in the Big East standings. St. John’s has scored 80.6 points per game and they have allowed 66.4 points against per game, while also averaging 41.7 rebounds and 15.5 assists per game this season. RJ Luis Jr. is averaging 17.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, while Zuby Ejiofor is averaging 14.6 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game this year. St. John’s is shooting 45.6% from the field, 70.4% on free throws, and 29.9% on three-pointers this season.

Why St. John’s will beat Georgetown

  • Georgetown has lost each of its last 20 games against AP-ranked opponents.
  • St. John’s has won each of its last 15 night games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Georgetown has lost the first half in nine of its last 10 games against AP-ranked opponents.

Total Points Facts

  • Eight of the last nine games between St. John’s and Georgetown have produced a total of 148+ points.
  • Each of St. John’s’ last five games at Capital One Arena has produced a total of 149+ points.

Georgetown vs St. John’s Prediction

St. John’s rolls into this matchup with one of the best records in the Big East, but they will be on the road for this game. The Red Storm have won six games in a row and they are scoring over 80 points per game this year. Georgetown has lost five of their last six games and they have fallen off after a very strong start to the season. The Hoyas are shooting 45.8% from the field and they have scored 64 points or fewer in three of their last five games. Georgetown hasn’t been terrible on defense this year, but they need to find more consistent offense. I would love to take Georgetown at home this matchup, but St. John’s is red hot and should have a decent rebounding advantage. Take the Red Storm here.

The Georgetown Hoyas and the Providence Friars meet Saturday in college basketball action from Dunkin’ Donuts Center. Here’s a Providence vs Georgetown prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Providence vs Georgetown pick.

Georgetown Hoyas Betting Preview

The Hoyas got off to a great start this year, with only a couple of losses in the bag by the time the calendar switched over to 2025. Georgetown would hit the skids on a losing streak earlier this month, though. In their first nine outings, the Hoyas went a nice 7-2. The losses in that time were versus Notre Dame and West Virginia. Otherwise it was wins over Lehigh, Fairfield, Mount St. Mary’s, St. Francis PA, Wagner, Albany and UMBC. A win streak over Syracuse, Creighton, Seton Hall, Coppin State and Xavier came next, then four straight losses. Those defeats came courtesy of Marquette, UConn, St. John’s and DePaul in succession. Georgetown was able to stop the bleeding with a win over Villanova, giving the team a 13-6 overall record this year.

In the Villanova matchup on Monday, the Hoyas came out of the break with a 34-27 deficit. Georgetown woke up in the second half on a 37-29 run and took the comeback win 64-63 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Micah Peavey with 24 points, four rebounds and two steals. Thomas Sorber doubled up on 15 points, 11 boards and four assists, while Jayden Epps came off the bench to post 15 points, four assists and two rebounds in the win.

Providence Friars Betting Preview

Over on the Friars’ side, they opened the season on a very nice run themselves. Since mid-November however, Providence has struggled mightily, with just one instance of consecutive victories. The Friars opened with victories over Central Connecticut, Stonehill, Hampton, Green Bay and Delaware State. A 2-4 stretch came next with wins over BYU and DePaul among losses to Oklahoma, Davidson, Indiana and Rhode Island. The Friars lost to St. Bonaventure, Marquette, St. John’s and UConn in the next four, then beat Butler and Seton Hall. Since then it’s been a pair of losses to Creighton and Villanova, giving the Friars a 9-10 overall record.

Matched up against Villanova in a road game last Friday, the Friars entered the locker room with a 37-32 edge. Providence was outscored 43-36 the rest of the way however, leading to a tough loss 75-73 in the end. Bensley Joseph led the team in the losing effort with his 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Corey Floyd added 18 points with four rebounds and two assists, while Justyn Fernandez chipped in 17 points with five boards and four assists.

Why the Providence Friars will win

  • Providence has won each of its last seven games against Georgetown.
  • Georgetown has lost nine of its last 10 games at Amica Mutual Pavilion.
  • Providence has won the first half in seven of its last eight games against Georgetown.

Why the Georgetown Hoyas will win

  • Georgetown has won each of its last four day games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Providence has lost each of its last four games when playing with a rest advantage.
  • The road team has won the first half in four of Georgetown’s last five games.

Providence vs Georgetown Prediction

I’ll lean toward Georgetown. The Hoyas started slowly against a decent Villanova team in their last outing, but eventually got it going in the second half. Georgetown still only shot 36.2 percent from the field with a 41-30 rebounding deficit, but helped secure the victory thanks to 16 points off 16 Villanova turnovers. The Hoyas have been below 70 points in each of their last six games (a 2-4 run), so it’d be nice to see them hit that threshold in this one. The matchup is favorable enough to do it—and Georgetown could use a convincing performance after a shaky run this month.

As for Providence, they didn’t shoot too badly (42.9 percent) in their latest loss to Villanova, but did slow down in the second half and got out-rebounded 37-31. The Friars have given up 75 or more points in three straight games, so Georgetown should have plenty of room to put up points in this one. The Hoyas really need to get that shooting percentage up and stay strong on the boards, but this should be a very winnable game for them. I like Georgetown to take advantage here.

The Georgetown Hoyas and Villanova Wildcats meet Monday in college basketball action at the Finneran Pavilion. Here’s a Villanova vs Georgetown Prediction. This article will include a Villanova vs Georgetown Pick.

Georgetown Hoyas Betting Preview

The Georgetown Hoyas lost to DePaul and St. John’s, and they play Providence, St. John’s, and Butler next. The Georgetown Hoyas are averaging 72.8 points on 46.3 percent shooting and allowing 64.4 points on 38.7 percent shooting. Thomas Sorber is averaging 14.2 points and 8.6 rebounds, while Malik Mack is averaging 13.9 points and 4.1 rebounds. Micah Peavy is the third double-digit scorer and Jayden Epps is grabbing 2.1 rebounds. The Georgetown Hoyas are shooting 31.8 percent from beyond the arc and 72 percent from the free throw line. The Georgetown Hoyas are allowing 33.3 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 34.3 rebounds per game.

Villanova Wildcats Betting Preview

The Villanova Wildcats lost to Xavier, beat Providence, and they play Marquette, Creighton, and DePaul next. The Villanova Wildcats are averaging 77.6 points on 47.9 percent shooting and allowing 68 points on 42.9 percent shooting. Eric Dixon is averaging 24.7 points and 5.1 rebounds, while Wooga Poplar is averaging 14.5 points and 6.8 rebounds. Jhamir Brickus is the third double-digit scorer and Jordan Longino is dishing 2.1 assists. The Villanova Wildcats are shooting 40.3 percent from beyond the arc and 80.1 percent from the free throw line. The Villanova Wildcats are allowing 35.9 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 31.7 rebounds per game.

Why the Villanova Wildcats will win

  • Villanova has won 70 of its last 74 night games at Finneran Pavilion against non-AP-ranked opponents.

  • Five of Georgetown’s last six games at Finneran Pavilion have produced a total of 139+ points.

Villanova vs Georgetown Injury Report

The Villanova Wildcats will be without Nnanna Njoku due to a knee injury. The Georgetown Hoyas will be without Julius Halaifonua, while Jayden Epps and Thomas Sober are questionable.

Villanova vs Georgetown Prediction

The Georgetown Hoyas looked like a decent team a couple of weeks ago, but they’re riding a four-game losing streak and have scored under 70 points in all of those losses. Georgetown also just lost to DePaul at home as a six-point favorite. I doubt the Hoyas struggles are going to turnaround on the road, especially with Villanova being 10-1 SU at home. Villanova has owned Georgetown over the years with wins in nine of the last 10 games. The Villanova Wildcats are playing some of their best ball of the season right now, and they’ve covered four of their last six games as a favorite. Right when you’re ready to believe in Georgetown, it’s fallen off the wagon, and this isn’t a spot where it gets on track. I’ll lay the points with Villanova at home.

The DePaul Blue Demons and Georgetown Hoyas meet Friday in college basketball action at the Capital One Arena. Here’s a Georgetown vs DePaul Prediction. This article will include a Georgetown vs DePaul Pick.

DePaul Blue Demons Betting Preview

The DePaul Blue Demons lost to Marquette and Xavier, and they play Creighton, Butler, and UCONN next. The DePaul Blue Demons are averaging 77.3 points on 45 percent shooting and allowing 74.1 points on 44.9 percent shooting. Jacob Meyer is averaging 13.9 points and 3.6 rebounds, while CJ Gunn is averaging 11.2 points and 3.1 rebounds. Isaiah Rivera is the third double-digit scorer, and NJ Benson is grabbing 5.8 rebounds. The DePaul Blue Demons are shooting 37.3 percent from beyond the arc and 70.9 percent from the free throw line. The DePaul Blue Demons are allowing 36.3 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 34.2 rebounds per game.

Georgetown Hoyas Betting Preview

The Georgetown Hoyas lost to UCONN and St. John’s, and they play Villanova, Providence, and St. John’s next. The Georgetown Hoyas are averaging 73.2 points on 46.6 percent shooting and allowing 63.9 points on 38.2 percent shooting. Thomas Sorber is averaging 14.2 points and 8.6 rebounds, while Micah Peavy is averaging 13.8 points and 5.1 rebounds. Malik Mack is the third double-digit scorer and Jayden Epps is grabbing 2.1 rebounds. The Georgetown Hoyas are shooting 32.1 percent from beyond the arc and 72 percent from the free throw line. The Georgetown Hoyas are allowing 32.8 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 34.6 rebounds per game.

Why the Georgetown Hoyas will win

  • DePaul has lost each of its last 29 games against the Big East Conference.
  • Georgetown has won each of its last eight home games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Georgetown has won the first half in each of its last 10 night games.

Why the DePaul Blue Demons will win

  • Georgetown has lost each of its last seven games at Capital One Arena following a road loss.
  • DePaul has won five of its last six night games against Georgetown.
  • DePaul has won the first half in eight of its last 10 night games.

Georgetown vs DePaul Injury Report

JJ Traynor is questionable for the DePaul Blue Demons due to an undisclosed issue. The Georgetown Hoyas will be without Julius Halaifonua, while Jayden Epps is questionable with an ankle injury.

Georgetown vs DePaul Prediction

The Georgetown Hoyas are good, but I’m not excited to lay near double-digit chalk with them. I don’t think we’re there yet with Georgetown. With that said, the DePaul Blue Demons are free-falling with losses in eight of their last 10 games, and they’re 2-7-1 ATS during that stretch. DePaul has allowed 77 or more points in five straight games. Georgetown is 4-1 ATS in its last five games as a favorite. Backing DePaul simply isn’t an option in its current form. This should be a blowout win for the Hoyas at home. I’ll lay the chalk with the Hoyas at home.

In this article, we will formulate a St. John’s vs Georgetown prediction for this College Basketball game on Tuesday, January 14th at Madison Square Garden in New York. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this College Basketball matchup.

St. John’s Red Storm Betting Preview

The St. John’s Red Storm are 14-3 (5-1) this year after they defeated Villanova by a score of 80-68 in their last game. St. John’s led 36-31 at halftime and added 44 points in the second half for the win. The Red Storm shot 40% from the field, 29.2% on three-pointers, and 74.4% on free throws in the game. RJ Luis Jr. led St. John’s with 30 points and 10 rebounds, while Aaron Scott added 12 points and four rebounds in the game.

Prior to that win, the Red Storm defeated Xavier by a score of 82-72 and Butler by a score of 70-62. St. John’s has won three games in a row and nine of their last ten, and they are sitting towards the top of the Big East standings. St. John’s has scored 81.8 points per game and they have allowed 67.5 points per game, while also averaging 42.0 rebounds and 15.8 assists per game this year. RJ Luis Jr. is averaging 17.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, while Zuby Ejiofor is averaging 14.7 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game this year. St. John’s is shooting 46.1% from the field, 69.2% on free throws, and 29.9% on three-pointers this season.

Georgetown Hoyas Betting Preview

The Georgetown Hoyas are 12-4 (3-2) this season after they lost to UConn by a score of 68-60 in their last game. Georgetown trailed 35-31 at halftime and only managed 29 points in the second half in the loss. The Hoyas shot 38.8% from the field, 46.7% on three-pointers, and 65.2% on free throws in the game. Curtis Williams Jr. led Georgetown with 15 points and two rebounds, while Micah Peavy added 14 points and five rebounds in the loss.

Prior to that game, the Hoyas lost to Marquette by a score of 74-66 but did beat Xavier by a score of 69-63 before that. Georgetown has won five of their last seven games and they are tied for fifth in the Big East standings coming into Monday night. Georgetown has scored 74.1 points per game and they have allowed 64.0 points per game, while also averaging 37.5 rebounds and 15.8 assists per game this year. Thomas Sorber is averaging 14.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game, while Jayden Epps is averaging 13.9 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game this season. Georgetown is shooting 46.9% from the field, 72.1% on free throws, and 32.5% on three-pointers this year.

Why St. John’s will beat Georgetown

  • St. John’s has won each of its last 12 home games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Georgetown has lost 17 of its last 18 road games following a home loss.
  • St. John’s has won the first half in each of its last seven games at Madison Square Garden against non-AP-ranked opponents.

St. John’s vs Georgetown Prediction

Georgetown comes into this matchup trying to snap their two-game losing streak, but they will be on the road here. The Hoyas have started the season trending in the right direction, but they need to avoid the conference collapse that we have seen from them in recent seasons. Georgetown is holding opponents to just 64.0 points per game, but they only managed to score 66 and 60 in their last two games. St. John’s has won three games in a row and they are scoring nearly 82 points per game this year. The Red Storm only have losses against Creighton, Baylor, and Georgia, and they should have a sizable rebounding advantage in this matchup. I do like how Georgetown has played this year, but I don’t trust them away from home. Take St. John’s here.

Georgetown Hoyas Betting Preview

The Georgetown Hoyas beat Xavier, lost to Marquette, and they play St. John’s, DePaul, and Villanova next. • Georgetown has lost the first half in each of its last 13 day games against Top 10 AP-ranked opponents.

Georgetown vs UConn Injury Report

The Georgetown Hoyas will be without Julius Halaifonua. The UCONN Huskies will be without Liam McNeeley.

Georgetown vs UConn Prediction

The UConn Huskies are obviously the better team, but they’ve been shaky as of late, losing to Villanova and almost getting upset by Providence. Not having Liam McNeeley doesn’t help matters. I said in previous write-ups that the Georgetown Hoyas may be a good basketball team. Georgetown plays defense and has some guys who can take over offensively. Georgetown has beat the teams it’s supposed to beat, upset Creighton, and is 10-1 SU at home. Georgetown has also covered eight of its last 10 games overall. The UConn Huskies are 1-4 ATS in their last five games. I like Georgetown to be physical and make a game of this. Give me the points.

The Georgetown Hoyas and the Marquette Golden Eagles meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Fiserv Forum. Here’s a Marquette vs Georgetown prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Marquette vs Georgetown pick.

Georgetown Hoyas Betting Preview

This year the Hoyas got off to a 2-0 start this year, taking fairly routine wins over Lehigh and Fairfield in their first pair. Georgetown would take their first loss of the season versus Notre Dame in game three but then hit a five-game win streak afterward. Those victories were against Mount St. Mary’s, St. Francis PA, Wagner, Albany, and UMBC in succession. Loss number two came on December 6 versus West Virginia, but since then Georgetown has rattled off another five straight wins. Those victories have come versus Syracuse, Creighton, Seton Hall, Coppin State, and Xavier in order for a 12-2 start to the season for the Hoyas.

Matched up against Xavier in their Friday game, the Hoyas were looking up at a 30-24 advantage on the scoreboard at halftime. Georgetown kept the pace from there on a 39-39 second-half run and took the eventual victory 69-63. Topping the team in scoring was Malik Mack with 26 points, three assists, and two rebounds. Micah Peavey added 15 points and 10 boards with two assists for a double-double, and Thomas Sorber had 12 points with five rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and a steal. Leading the bench players was Jordan Burks with a modest three points, four rebounds, and one turnover in 13 minutes of work.

Marquette Golden Eagles Betting Preview

Over on the Marquette side, they opened up their 2024-25 season on a great run with wins over their first eight outings. The Eagles would dispatch Stony Brook, George Mason, Central Michigan, Maryland, Purdue, Georgia, Stonehill, and Western Carolina in succession during that time. Marquette hit a rough 1-2 stretch over their next three outings however, falling versus Iowa State and Dayton in between a nice win over Wisconsin. Since then Marquette has gotten back to business with four straight wins, however. The Golden Eagles have dispatched Butler, Xavier, Providence, and Creighton in that quartet for a solid 13-2 start to the year.

Matched up against Creighton in their last outing on Friday, the Golden Eagles were ahead by four points 39-35 going into the second half. Marquette posted another four-point advantage from there 40-36 for an eventual win 79-71. Team leader Kam Jones led the charge with 22 points with nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Stevie Mitchell added 18 points with six boards, three steals, and two assists, while David Joplin got in on the action with his 11 points, six rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and a steal. Top bench scorer Royce Parham added eight points with a steal in 11 minutes on the floor.

Why the Marquette Golden Eagles will win

  • Georgetown has lost each of its last 21 games against Top 10 AP-ranked opponents.
  • Marquette has won each of its last 12 games at Fiserv Forum against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Georgetown has lost the first half in each of its last nine games against Top 10 AP-ranked opponents.

Why the Georgetown Hoyas will win

  • Georgetown has won 10 of its last 11 games.
  • Georgetown has won the first half in each of its last eight night games.

Marquette vs Georgetown Prediction

I’m going to take a stab at Georgetown. This is going to be a tough matchup for the Hoyas though, and they’ll need to play extremely well in order to compete. That said, the Hoyas are coming off a decent overall effort versus a reasonably talented Xavier team, hitting 44.6 percent from the field with 40 rebounds. Georgetown wasn’t great from the line (15-of-25 for 60 percent) or the outside (4-of-18 for 22.2 percent) however, and had 12 turnovers. There’s plenty to improve upon here. That said, the Hoyas have scored 69 or more points in four of the last five games (all five were wins), so they’re certainly capable of scoring. Georgetown will need another big effort versus Marquette.

Speaking of Marquette, they didn’t shoot great versus Creighton (41.4 percent) and got out-rebounded 41-38 in the eight-point victory. The Eagles cleaned up on 12 Bluejays turnovers though, resulting in 21 points. Considering Marquette has soared 72 or more points in four straight, Georgetown will need to get their offense going—and minimize mistakes—in order to keep pace here. I think the Hoyas will eke one out.
