I’m on Villanova in this one. I just think the Wildcats are the better team in this matchup and are the more trustworthy team on both ends of the floor compared to UCF. The Wildcats are also the better rebounding team on both ends of the floor in this matchup and I think that the Wildcats do enough for the win and cover to advance to the inaugural College Basketball Crown title game. TCU has won 13 of its 15 home games this season, so you can understand why the Horned Frogs are favored. UCF hasn’t had much success on the road this season. However, TCU has been hit or miss all year, and I’m not excited to lay points with a team that’s 10-18 ATS on the season. Also, UCF beat TCU 85-58 a month ago, covering a four-point spread. Utah Utes Betting Preview

Ezra Ausar follows him with 11.4 PPG and 4.8 RPG, while Lawson Lovering chips in with 8.9 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 2.6 APG, and a team-high 1.0 BPG.

Utah vs UCF Prediction

Utah recorded just one road victory this year, and I’d normally back UCF here, but in this situation and the poor form the Knights are at the moment, I am leaning toward the visitors. UCF lost each of the last three home games, and while it’s optimistic to expect Utah to get a W here, I am pretty sure the Utes will put up a fight and stay close until the end.

UCF has only covered the spread in 16 of the last 34 games, while Utah has covered the spread in 20 of the last 37 games. Talking about ATS, the Utes had more success this year, and I am backing them to cover here as well.

Oklahoma State is Struggling

Oklahoma State is really struggling heading into this game and all season that has been the case. Two games ago against TCU, they were competitive, but they ended up losing 73-72. In the last game against Texas Tech, it wasn’t as close and they ended up losing 92-55. At halftime, they were down 43-24 and they couldn’t bounce back. Marchelus Avery had a strong game putting up 13 points and five rebounds, but he was the only player that really found success with the offense. 

Oklahoma State currently sits with a 12-13 record overall and they have gone 10-15 record overall. At home this season they have gone 9-3 straight up. Oklahoma State is averaging 872.2 points while their defense is giving up 75.2 points per game. The offense is ranked 240th in the league while the defense is ranked 278th. Marchelus Avery is averaging 12.2 points while shooting 43.5 percent from the field and 37 percent from behind the three-point line. 

UCF is Suddenly Struggling

UCF is suddenly struggling heading into this game and they have lost six games in a row. Two games ago against Iowa State, they lost 77-65 and in the last game against Colorado, they lost 76-63. In the second half, they were outscored 38-27 and that led to the defeat. Keyshawn Hall had a strong game putting up 19 points, nine rebounds, and one assist. Darius Johnson put up 15 points, three rebounds, and one assist. 

UCF sits with a 13-12 record overall and they have gone 11-14 against the spread. Away from home this season they sit with a 2-5 record overall. UCF is averaging 78.4 points while their defense is giving up 79.4 points per game. The offense is ranked 79th in the league while the defense is ranked 347th. Oklahoma State is going to find success in this game. At home, they have been a solid team this year, and I just don’t trust the UCF defense. UCF is giving up 79.4 points per game and they are going to have some major issues again here. Oklahoma State hasn’t been exactly known for their offense but they are going to have no issue putting on a show here. This is going to be a comfortable victory for Oklahoma State. UCF hasn’t been lightning the world on fire in its own right, but it has won a couple of games here and there, and that includes an upset road win over Arizona State. Colorado is also not only losing games, but is 2-8 ATS in its last 10 games. If Colorado is going to win a game the rest of the season, it would probably be this one. Still, if forced to pick, I’m rolling with UCF due to Colorado not winning a game in two months.

As Cincinnati has been up and down in the Big 12, this feels almost like a must-win as they try to improve their stock for the NCAA tournament. Cincinnati has lost four games in a row and three of the games weren’t all that close. Two games ago against Utah was the closest and even that one they lost 69-66. In the last game against West Virginia, the offense only managed 50 points, and that led to the defeat. The Bearcats shot only 31.5 percent from the field and 31.3 percent from behind the three-point line. 

The Bearcats sit with a 12-9 record overall, and they have only gone 7-14 against the spread. The over has only hit in three of the games. The Bearcats are averaging 70 points while their defense is giving up 63 points per game. The offense is ranked 283rd in the league, while the defense is ranked 14th. In this game, it’s going to come down to if the offense can get enough going. Simas Lukosius is averaging 12 points while shooting 41.3 percent from the field and 37.2 percent from behind the three-point line. 

UCF vs Cincinnati Prediction

Trusting either of these teams feels pretty scary, but I just don’t trust this Bearcats offense, even against a bad defensive team. This UCF team has pushed the pace and run up the score against everyone. UCF is averaging 79.6 points per game and they are going to have no issue running up the score here. Iowa State vs UCF Prediction

I’m on Iowa State here. I get that this is a massive number to lay when UCF has been really competitive against some solid teams like Houston, Texas Tech, and Arizona State as well as covering against Arizona on the road as well. However, Iowa State’s coming off of a road loss where they looked really poor, and it was just a bad spot for UCF in that game and one that I think they bounce back from in a big way at home. The Cyclones are just a different animal at home and I think UCF finds that out the hard way here. Give me Iowa State laying the big number.

UCF Knights Betting Preview

The UCF Knights are 12-4 (3-2) this season after they defeated Arizona State by a score of 95-89 in their last game. UCF led 49-47 at halftime and added 46 points in the second half for the win. The Knights shot 50.8% from the field, 46.2% on three pointers, and 81% on free throws in the game. Keyshawn Hall led UCF with 40 points and seven rebounds, while Darius Johnson added 17 points and seven assists in the game. 

Prior to that win, the Knights lost to Arizona by a score of 88-80, but did beat Colorado by a score of 75-74 before that. UCF has alternated wins and losses over their last five games, but they have won eight of their last ten. UCF has scored 79.6 points per game and they have allowed 77.9 points against per game, while also averaging 37.4 rebounds and 14.9 assists per game this year. Keyshawn Hall is averaging 17.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game, while Darius Johnson is averaging 15.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game this season. UCF is shooting 42.3% from the field, 77.2% on free throws, and 33.8% on three pointers this year. 

Houston Cougars Betting Preview

The Houston Cougars are 13-3 (5-0) this year after they defeated West Virginia by a score of 70-54 in their last game. Houston led 40-27 at halftime and they held WVU to 27 points in the second half for the double-digit win. The Cougars shot 49% from the field, 42.3% on three pointers, and 75% on free throws in the game. J’Wan Roberts led Houston with 22 points and three rebounds, while LJ Cryer added 18 points and two assists in the game. 

Prior to that win, the Cougars defeated Kansas State by a score of 87-57 and TCU by a score of 65-46. Houston has won nine games in a row and their only losses this year have been against Auburn, Alabama, and San Diego State. Houston has scored 76.6 points per game and they have allowed 54.2 points against per game, while also averaging 38 rebounds and 13.4 assists per game this season. LJ Cryer is averaging 14.3 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game, while Emanuel Sharp is averaging 14.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game this season. Houston is shooting 46.2% from the field, 74% on free throws, and 41.5% on three pointers this year. 

Why Houston will beat UCF

• Houston has won 25 of its last 26 games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
• UCF has lost nine of its last 10 games against Top 10 AP-ranked opponents.
• Houston has won the first half in each of its last 17 games against non-AP-ranked opponents.

UCF vs Houston Prediction 

Houston comes into this matchup undefeated in conference play and they are ranked #10 in the country, but they will be on the road for this game. The Cougars aren’t elite offensively, but their defense is allowing just 54.2 points against per game this year. Houston has allowed 55 points or fewer in four of their last five games. UCF is only shooting 42.3% from the field, but they are scoring nearly 80 points per game this year. The Knights have had plenty of issues on defense this season and they have allowed 88 points or more in three of their last four games. The home court advantage is definitely going to help UCF, but I don’t trust them going up against an elite defense like Houston’s. Take the Cougars on the road here.
