On Friday night, the NCAA presents Draftkings basketball fans with a tournament matchup featuring the Mississippi Rebels and the Michigan State Spartans. Let’s take a look at this game from a DFS perspective.

Before we dive into the Mississippi Rebels vs. Michigan State Spartans game let’s review the rules for the Draftkings single game showdown contest.

Draftkings Single Game Showdown Contest Rules

You have $50,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your team captain. The captain accumulates 1.5 times the standard fantasy points. Additionally, the captain is 1.5 times the standard cost of the flex position.

The remaining four players in your lineup will receive the standard fantasy points. Having stated that, it is highly important for you to identify the correct player for your captain position if you hope to win a large field DFS GPP (guaranteed prize pool) showdown contest.

If you have additional questions regarding the rules for the single game showdown contest, I recommend that you check out the Draftkings website for more details.

*I recommend that all readers review the starting lineups for both teams prior to setting your DFS lineup for this one game slate.

Here are my Draftkings picks for tonight’s Mississippi vs. Michigan State matchup.

Draftkings NCAA Basketball Showdown Picks

Captain-Sean Pedulla, Guard, Mississippi Rebels $12,000

The Mississippi Rebels enter this evening’s NCAA tournament matchup with the Michigan State Spartans playing quality basketball. A big reason why the Rebels have been a success this season is talented guard Sean Pedulla.

In the 35 games that senior guard Sean Pedulla has played for the Mississippi Rebels in the 2024 NCAA season (including postseason games), Pedulla is averaging 15.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.9 steals a game.

More recently, in the Mississippi Rebels dominant 91-78 win over the Iowa State Cyclones five days ago, Mississippi guard Sean Pedulla certainly played at a high level. More specifically, Pedulla amassed 20 points, two rebounds, eight assists and four steals in the Rebels victory over the Iowa State Cyclones.

As I noted in the rules section above, selecting the correct player at the captain position for a Draftkings NCAA showdown lineup is absolutely vital if you hope to win a large field GPP (guaranteed prize pool) DFS contest. Keep that in mind as you construct your lineups.

In my opinion, Sean Pedulla presents the best fantasy value of any player on this one game DFS slate. Having stated that, I am rolling with Mississippi Rebels guard Sean Pedulla at the captain position for this one game Draftkings NCAA Showdown contest.

Flex Plays

Jaden Akins, Guard, Michigan State Spartans $9,400

Guard Jaden Akins has certainly been a solid player for the Michigan State Spartans this season. Having stated that, how has the senior guard performed from a statistical perspective? Let’s review Jaden Akins game data from the 2024 NCAA season (including postseason games) to answer that question.

In the 35 games that guard Jaden Akins has played for the Michigan State Spartans in the 2024 NCAA season, Akins is averaging 12.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.3 blocks a game.

Looking closer at the data just presented, in the 35 games that Jaden Akins has played this season, Akins has averaged a rather impressive 19.5 Draftkings points a contest.

Additional flex plays I like to perform well in tonight’s NCAA tournament game (Draftkings price noted): Tre Holloman, Guard (Michigan State Spartans) $7,600: Malik Dia, Forward (Mississippi Rebels) $10,800: Jaemyn Brakefield, Forward (Mississippi Rebels) $6,400.

The Ole Miss Rebels and the Michigan State Spartans meet Friday in NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 college basketball action from State Farm Arena. Here’s a Michigan State vs Ole Miss prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Michigan State vs Ole Miss pick.

Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview

Ole Miss posted a nice run into January, but then tripped themselves up amid difficult conference games. The Rebels lost to only Purdue and Memphis in their first 17 outings, then hit losses to Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Missouri and Auburn in the next five. A 3-3 run came next with wins over Kentucky, LSU and South Carolina ahead of losses to Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Auburn. After that came a 3-2 stretch with wins over Oklahoma, Tennessee and Arkansas mixed with losses to Florida and Auburn. Ole Miss has since beaten North Carolina and Iowa State in the national tourney, giving them a 24-11 overall record so far.

In the Iowa State matchup on Sunday, the Rebels entered the second half with a 40-29 edge. Ole Miss kept the pressure on with a 51-49 run the rest of the way and took the win 91-78 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Sean Pedulla with 20 points, eight assists, four steals and two rebounds. Matthew Murrell added 15 points with four rebounds and two steals, while Malik Dia had 18 points with eight boards and two steals in 26 minutes of action in the victory.

Michigan State Spartans Betting Preview

Over on the Michigan State side, they had a very brief run of rough games back in February but other than that they’ve been impressive amid a tough Big Ten slate. The Spartans opened at 5-2, then beat Minnesota, Nebraska, Oakland, FAU, Western Michigan, Ohio State, Washington, Northwestern, Penn State, Illinois, Rutgers and Minnesota in succession. Michigan State lost three of the next four versus USC, UCLA and Indiana, then beat Illinois, Purdue, Michigan, Maryland, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and Oregon before a conference tournament loss to Wisconsin. The Spartans have taken out Bryant and New Mexico so far in the national tournament, giving the team a 29-6 overall record.

In the New Mexico matchup back on Sunday, the Spartans held a two-point deficit by the break. Michigan State woke up in the second half though, notching a 42-32 run on the way to a 71-63 victory in the end. The only starter to finish in double-digits was Jaden Akins with 16 points and one rebound in 30 minutes. Tre Holloman (14 points; four assists; three steals) and Frankie Fidler (10 points) came off the bench to provide the Spartans with a winning lift.

Why the Michigan State Spartans will win

  • Michigan State has won 24 of its last 25 night games against non-AP-ranked opponents at a neutral venue.
  • Ole Miss has lost 24 of its last 28 games against AP-ranked opponents.
  • Ole Miss has lost the first half in each of its last eight games against Top 10 AP-ranked opponents.

Why the Ole Miss Rebels will win

  • Ole Miss has won each of its last 16 night games against non-Conference opponents.
  • Michigan State has lost four of its last five NCAA Tournament night games against Top 8 Seeds.
  • Ole Miss has won the first half in each of its last six night games against non-Conference opponents.

Total Points Facts

  • Eight of Ole Miss’ last nine games against AP-ranked opponents have produced a total of 152+ points.
  • Seven of Michigan State’s last nine NCAA Tournament games against a lower seed have produced a total of 143 or fewer points.

Matchup/League Facts

  • Michigan State ranks 3rd among Division 1 teams for opponent three-point percentage this season (28.0%).
  • Michigan State ranks 3rd among Division 1 teams for rebound percentage this season (56.6%).
  • Ole Miss ranks 3rd among Division 1 teams for turnovers per game this season (8.8).
  • Ole Miss ranks 3rd among Division 1 teams for turnover percentage this season (11.2%).

Michigan State vs Ole Miss Prediction

I’m going to lean toward Michigan State, but you could call this one either way—especially with a fairly lackluster performance for the Spartans versus New Mexico. Michigan State shot pretty well from the field (44.4 percent) in that one and had a 34-28 rebounding edge with just nine turnovers. The Spartans gave up 48.2 percent shooting on the other side though, and missed nine of their 28 free throws (67.9 percent). Those attempts from the line are going to be crucial moving forward. Still, Michigan State has scored 71 or more points in nine of the last 11 games—a 10-1 run.

As for Ole Miss, they looked good against a talented Iowa State team in their latest win. The Rebels shot a nice 58.2 percent from the field with 57.9 percent (11-of-19) from 3-point range and only eight turnovers. Ole Miss got 20 points off 15 Cyclones turnovers though, so ball control is going to be very important for Michigan State here. I like this one to be won on the boards and at the line, so if the Spartans can play to their capabilities I think they’ve got it. Should be a great one to watch regardless.

Iowa State Recap

The Iowa State Cyclones booked their spot in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament after ending up with an 82-55 win over Lipscomb in the opening round in their last game.

Cyclones Looking To Make Back-To-Back Sweet 16 Appearances

Curtis Jones leads the Cyclones in scoring with 17.1 PPG along with 4.3 RPG and 2.3 APG. Keshon Gilbert has 13.4 PPG with 3.5 RPG and a team-high 4.1 APG to lead the Cyclones in assists, but is expected to be out for the rest of the year with an injury. Milan Momcilovic has 11.4 PPG with 3.2 RPG while Joshua Jefferson has 13 PPG with a team-high 7.4 RPG to lead Iowa State on the glass up to this point in the year. Tamin Lipsey has 10.8 PPG with 3.2 APG and 2.1 SPG to cap off the scoring in double figures for Iowa State so far this season. Dishon Jackson has 8.6 PPG with 5.1 RPG as well on the year. As a team, Iowa State is averaging 80.4 PPG on 48% shooting from the field, 35.8% from three and 75.7% from the foul line this season.

Why the Iowa State Cyclones will win

  • Iowa State has won each of its last seven games against non-Conference opponents.
  • Ole Miss has lost 24 of its last 27 games against AP-ranked opponents.

Ole Miss Recap

The Ole Miss Rebels come into the Round of 32 after picking up a win over North Carolina by a final score of 71-64 in their opening NCAA Tournament matchup.

Rebels Looking For Second All-Time Sweet 16 Appearance, First Since 2001

Sean Pedulla leads the Rebels in scoring, assists and steals with 15 PPG along with 3.6 RPG and 3.6 APG and 1.8 SPG while Jaylen Murray has 10.5 PPG with 3.5 APG. As a team, Ole Miss is averaging 77.2 PPG on 44.2% shooting from the field, 34.1% from three and 73.8% from the foul line this season.

Why the Ole Miss Rebels will win

  • Ole Miss has won each of its last 15 night games against non-Conference opponents.
  • Iowa State has lost each of its last three games against the Southeastern Conference.

Total Points Facts

  • Fifteen of Iowa State’s last 16 night games at a neutral venue have produced a total of 142 or fewer points.
  • Seven of Ole Miss’ last eight games against AP-ranked opponents have produced a total of 152+ points.

Iowa State vs Ole Miss Prediction

I’m on Iowa State in this game. I just think the Cyclones are the better team by a fair margin, and Ole Miss was really lucky to escape from UNC in that first round matchup. Had UNC not dug themselves into a big hole early, we could be talking about a completely different second round matchup. The Cyclones may be banged up without Keshon Gilbert, but the Cyclones showed there’s more to this team than one body, and I think that the Cyclones get the win and cover here. Give me Iowa State.

Later today, the NCAA presents Draftkings basketball fans with a tournament matchup featuring the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Mississippi Rebels. Let’s take a look at this game from a Draftkings perspective.

Before we dive into the North Carolina Tar Heels vs. Mississippi Rebels game let’s review the rules for the Draftkings single game showdown contest.

Here are my Draftkings picks for this afternoon’s North Carolina vs. Mississippi matchup.

Draftkings NCAA Basketball Showdown Picks

Captain-RJ Davis, Guard, North Carolina Tar Heels $11,800

Talented guard RJ Davis has been an outstanding player for the North Carolina Tar Heels this season. Davis is known for his scoring ability, playmaking, and leadership. With that said, how has the senior guard performed from a statistical perspective? Let’s review Davis’s game data from this season to answer that question.

In the 36 games that guard RJ Davis has played for the North Carolina Tar Heels this season, Davis is averaging 17.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.1 steals a game.

Looking closer at the data just presented, in the 36 games that guard RJ Davis has played for the North Carolina Tar Heels this season, Davis has compiled a 41.5% field goal percentage, a 36.2% three-point percentage and an 88.2% free throw percentage.

More recently, in the North Carolina Tar Heels dominant 95-68 win over the San Diego State Aztecs three days ago, Tar Heels guard RJ Davis played exceptionally well. More specifically, Davis amassed 26 points, two rebounds and two assists in the Tar Heels victory over the Aztecs.

What did we learn from the data just presented? Clearly, RJ Davis can post a high number of DFS points on any given night. I fully expect that trend to continue in this afternoon’s matchup with the Mississippi Rebels.

As I noted in the rules section above, selecting the correct player at the captain position for a Draftkings NCAA showdown lineup is absolutely vital if you hope to win a large field GPP (guaranteed prize pool) DFS contest. Keep that in mind as you construct your lineups for this one game Draftkings slate.

In my opinion, RJ Davis presents the best fantasy value of any player on this one game DFS slate. Having stated that, I am rolling with North Carolina guard RJ Davis at the captain position for this one game Draftkings NCAA Showdown contest.

Flex Plays

Sean Pedulla, Guard, Mississippi Rebels $11,400

The Mississippi Rebels enter this afternoon’s NCAA tournament matchup with the North Carolina Tar Heels playing quality basketball. A big reason why the Rebels have been a success this season is talented guard Sean Pedulla.

In the 33 games that guard Sean Pedulla has played for the Mississippi Rebels in the 2024 NCAA regular season, Pedulla is averaging 14.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.8 steals a game.

Additional flex plays I like to perform well (Draftkings price noted): Jae’Lyn Withers, Forward (North Carolina Tar Heels) $9,600: Malik Dia, Forward (Mississippi Rebels) $10,000: Jaemyn Brakefield, Forward (Mississippi Rebels) $5,800.

Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview

The Ole Miss Rebels recently played Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida, Arkansas, and Auburn. Ole Miss has seen five of its 11 losses come in its last eight games.

The Ole Miss Rebels are averaging 77.2 points on 44.2 percent shooting and allowing 71.8 points on 43.3 percent shooting. Sean Pedulla is averaging 14.9 points and 3.6 assists, while Jaemyn Brakefield is averaging 10.8 points and 4.4 rebounds. Matthew Murrell is the third double-digit scorer and Malik Dia is grabbing 5.7 rebounds. The Ole Miss Rebels are shooting 34.1 percent from beyond the arc and 73.8 percent from the free throw line. The Ole Miss Rebels are allowing 32.7 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 29.6 rebounds per game.

  • North Carolina ranks T24th among Division 1 teams for points per game this season (81.7).

Ole Miss vs North Carolina Injury Report

Neither Ole Miss nor North Carolina have a player listed on its injury report.

Ole Miss vs North Carolina Prediction

The Ole Miss Rebels head into the tournament in shaky form, as five of their 11 losses have come in their last eight games. North Carolina has started to find its form over the last few weeks and was able to build on that after a blowout over SDSU in the First Four. North Carolina should be a confident bunch with the offense catching fire lately and that includes topping 90 points in five of its last 10 games. Ole Miss scores at an above-average clip due to pace, but the Rebels don’t shoot the ball great. If UNC keeps filling it up like it has lately, this should be a win for the Tar Heels. I’ll lay the bucket with North Carolina.

The Ole Miss Rebels and the Auburn Tigers meet Friday in SEC Tournament college basketball action from Bridgestone Arena. Here’s an Auburn vs Ole Miss prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Auburn vs Ole Miss pick.

Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview

The Rebels have done a pretty good job record-wise amid a tough schedule this year, but they have had a couple of shaky runs along the way. Ole Miss hit a nice 15-2 start over their first 17 games, losing to only Purdue and Memphis during that time. The Rebels went just 1-4 over the next five outings though, beating only Texas among losses to Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Missouri and Auburn. After wins over Kentucky, LSU and South Carolina in the next three, the Rebels gave it back with losses to Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Auburn. Since then it’s been a 3-1 run with a lone loss to Florida amid wins over Oklahoma, Tennessee and Arkansas. In total over 32 games so far this year that gives Ole Miss a 22-10 record in the books.

On Thursday versus Arkansas, Ole Miss was outscored 46-41 in the second half but managed to eke out the win in dramatic fashion 83-80. The Rebels’ leading scorer was Malik Dia with 19 points, eight rebounds and three steals.

Auburn Tigers Betting Preview

Over on the Auburn side, they’ve been great all year long but they’ve also suffered consecutive losses for the first time all year in their most recent two outings. The Tigers lost to only Duke in their first eight, then beat Richmond, Ohio State, Georgia State, Purdue, Monmouth, Missouri, Texas, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, Ole Miss and Oklahoma before another loss to Florida. Auburn picked it up again with wins over Vanderbilt, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Ole Miss and Kentucky, then took losses in consecutive games to Texas A&M and Alabama. That gives the Tigers a 27-4 run through 31 games this year so far.

In the Alabama home rematch on Saturday, the Tigers went into the second half with a 45-42 deficit. Auburn eventually forced overtime but ended up losing 93-91 in the end. Tops in scoring was Johni Broome with 34 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and five blocks. Tahaad Pettiford came off the bench for 19 points, four rebounds and six assists in 34 minutes of work, and Miles Kelly had 13 points with four rebounds and one assist in 36 minutes. Denver Jones chipped in nine points with six assists and two rebounds as well.

Why the Auburn Tigers will win

  • Auburn has won each of its last 17 games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Ole Miss has lost each of its last 10 day games against AP-ranked opponents.
  • Auburn has won the first half in 18 of its last 19 games against non-AP-ranked opponents.

Why the Ole Miss Rebels will win

  • Ole Miss has won five of its last six day games played at neutral venues.

Total Points Facts

  • Each of Auburn’s last 11 games against Conference opponents at neutral venues have produced a total of 153 or fewer points.
  • Nine of Ole Miss’ last 10 games at Bridgestone Arena have produced a total of 151 or fewer points.

Matchup/League Facts

  • Auburn ranks 2nd among Division 1 teams for blocks per game this season (6.4).
  • Auburn ranks 2nd among Division 1 teams for offensive rating this season (124.0).
  • Ole Miss ranks 3rd among Division 1 teams for turnovers per game this season (8.8).
  • Ole Miss ranks 3rd among Division 1 teams for turnover percentage this season (11.2%).

Auburn vs Ole Miss Prediction

I’ll still lean toward Auburn. The Tigers have a lot to prove in this tournament run following consecutive losses in their last two games. In the Alabama defeat at home, the Tigers shot well (47.9 percent) and had just nine turnovers. That said, Auburn also missed six of 17 free throws (64.7 percent), got out-rebounded 41-33 and gave up 52.2 percent shooting on defense. The 20 points off 15 Alabama turnovers helped, but it wasn’t enough. Including the losses to Texas A&M and Florida, Auburn is now just 6-3 in their last nine games—which isn’t very good for them this year.

These teams have met twice before during the regular season, with Auburn taking the victory both times. The Tigers managed a 92-82 road win on February 1, then a 106-76 blowout victory at home on February 26. In that latest matchup, Auburn scored a whopping 56 points in the second half on the way to 59.6 percent shooting from the field, 52.4 percent (11-of-21) from 3-point range and 81.8 percent (27-of-33) from the line. With the 33-20 rebounding advantage and the 18 points off 10 Ole Miss turnovers, it wasn’t much of a game. This one may not be so lopsided but Auburn definitely has the edge in most facets.

In this article we will formulate an Ole Miss vs Arkansas prediction for this College Basketball game on Thursday, March 13th at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this College Basketball matchup.

Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview

The Ole Miss Rebels are 21-10 (10-8) this year after they lost to Florida by a score of 90-71 in their last game. Ole Miss trailed 38-31 at halftime and they allowed 52 points in the second half in the loss. The Rebels shot 33.3% from the field, 33.3% on three pointers, and 80% on free throws in the game. Sean Pedulla is averaging 15.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, while Jaemyn Brakefield is averaging 11.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game this year. Ole Miss is shooting 44.3% from the field, 73.7% on free throws, and 34.7% on three pointers this season.

Arkansas Razorbacks Betting Preview

The Arkansas Razorbacks are 20-12 (8-10) this season after they defeated South Carolina by a score of 72-68 in their last game. Arkansas led 47-30 at halftime, but they were outscored 38-25 in the second half in the narrow victory. The Razorbacks shot 44.6% from the field, 31.8% on three pointers, and 93.8% on free throws in the game. Trevon Brazile led Arkansas with 16 points and seven rebounds, while Jonas Aidoo added 14 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

Prior to that game, the Razorbacks defeated Mississippi State by a score of 93-92 and Vanderbilt by a score of 90-77. Arkansas has won five of their last six games and they finished tied for ninth in the SEC standings with an 8-10 record. Arkansas has scored 76.6 points per game and they have allowed 70.9 points against per game, while also averaging 35.3 rebounds and 14.5 assists per game this season. DJ Wagner is averaging 11.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game, while Johnell Davis is averaging 11.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game this year. Arkansas is shooting 46.7% from the field, 73.2% on free throws, and 33.4% on three pointers this year.

Matchup/League Facts

  • Ole Miss ranks 3rd among Division 1 teams for turnovers per game this season (8.8).
  • Ole Miss ranks 3rd among Division 1 teams for turnover percentage this season (11.2%).
  • Arkansas ranks 5th among Division 1 teams for blocks per game this season (5.7).
  • Arkansas ranks T41st among Division 1 teams for opponent blocks per game this season (2.6).

Ole Miss vs Arkansas Prediction

Arkansas was able to pick up a much needed win on Tuesday against South Carolina, but they played pretty poorly in the second half and nearly gave the game away. The Razorbacks have won four of their last five games and they played very well over the last month of the regular season. Ole Miss has won two of their last three games, including a great win over Tennessee, but they have allowed at least 77 points in four of their last five games. Ole Miss did beat Arkansas by a score of 73-66 earlier in the season, but I think we are going to see more points in this matchup. Ole Miss has gone over 144.5 in six straight games and I think this game goes over as well.

Florida vs Ole Miss Prediction

Florida comes into this matchup as one of the top teams in the country and they are coming off of a very impressive road win against Alabama. The Gators are scoring over 84 points per game this season and they have scored 99 and 89 points in their last two games. Ole Miss has been a little inconsistent down the stretch this season, but they are coming off of a nice win against Tennessee. The Rebels have had some issues defensively this season and they have allowed at least 76 points in five straight games. We have seen both of these teams play high scoring games recently and I think this Florida offense is going to have another huge day. Take the over in this game.

The Tennessee Volunteers beat Alabama and LSU, and they play South Carolina next. Tennessee has won four straight games and is fighting for a top-four seed in the SEC Tournament.

The Tennessee Volunteers are allowing 27.9 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 34.3 rebounds per game.

Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview

The Ole Miss Rebels lost to Auburn, beat Oklahoma, and they play Florida next. It’s senior night for an Ole Miss roster that has 10 seniors.

The Ole Miss Rebels are averaging 77.9 points on 44.7 percent shooting and allowing 71 points on 42.8 percent shooting. Sean Pedulla is averaging 15.2 points and 3.8 assists, while Jaemyn Brakefield is averaging 11 points and 4.6 rebounds. Ole Miss vs Tennessee Injury Report

Ole Miss doesn’t have a player listed on its injury report. Tennessee will continue to be without Cameron Carr due to a hand injury.

Ole Miss vs Tennessee Prediction

Ole Miss has won 12 of its 15 home games this season and has a roster loaded with seniors, so the Rebels will be up for this one. A top-five team coming to town on senior night, the Sandy and John Black Pavilion is going to be rocking. However, Tennessee is just too consistent to bet against in small favorite roles. Tennessee is battle-tested, has proven itself in big spots, and has arguably the best defense in college basketball.

The Vols are seventh in scoring defense, first in field goal percentage defense, and second in three-point percentage defense. Ole Miss hasn’t played well when stepping up in competition and that includes an 0-4 SU and ATS record in their last four games as an underdog. I’ll lay the small number with the Vols.

Oklahoma Sooners Betting Preview

The Oklahoma Sooners beat Miss State, lost to Kentucky, and they play Missouri and Texas next. The Oklahoma Sooners are averaging 77.9 points on 46.9 percent shooting and allowing 73.8 points on 44.4 percent shooting. Jalon Moore is averaging 17.1 points and 5.8 rebounds, while Jeremiah Fears is averaging 16 points and 4.1 rebounds. Duke Miles is dishing 2.1 assists and Brycen Goodine is grabbing 2.4 rebounds. The Oklahoma Sooners are shooting 36.3 percent from beyond the arc and 78.7 percent from the free throw line. The Oklahoma Sooners are allowing 29.9 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 29.5 rebounds per game.

Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview

The Ole Miss Rebels lost to Vanderbilt and Auburn, and they play Tennessee and Florida next. The Ole Miss Rebels are averaging 77.6 points on 44.5 percent shooting and allowing 70.6 points on 42.5 percent shooting. Sean Pedulla is averaging 14.8 points and 3.8 assists, while Matthew Murrell is averaging 11 points and 3.5 rebounds. • Oklahoma has won five of its last six day games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Oklahoma has won the first half in eight of its last nine games against non-AP-ranked opponents.

Ole Miss vs Oklahoma Injury Report

Ole Miss doesn’t have a player listed on its injury report. Oklahoma will be without Jadon Jones and Jeff Nwankwo.

Ole Miss vs Oklahoma Prediction

Oklahoma isn’t the same team it was earlier in the season and has won just one of its seven road games. Ole Miss is the more trustworthy team and is 11-3 SU at home. However, Ole Miss has lost three straight games and has been a mess defensively during that stretch. Oklahoma has talent and can score the ball, as the Sooners are a top-100 team in offensive scoring, field goal percentage and three-point percentage. This feels like a high scoring SEC matchup. I’ll take a shot with Oklahoma and the points.

The Ole Miss Rebels and the Auburn Tigers meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Auburn Arena. Here’s an Auburn vs Ole Miss prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Auburn vs Ole Miss pick.

Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview

The Rebels have really only had one or two bad runs so far this year—and they’ve been brief. Otherwise, it’s been a pretty good run for Ole Miss. During a 15-2 opening run, the Rebels managed to dispatch Long Island University, Grambling, South Alabama, Colorado State, Oral Roberts, BYU, Louisville, Lindenwood, Southern Miss, Southern, Queens U, Georgia, Arkansas, LSU and Alabama. A 1-4 run came next with a lone win over Texas amid losses to Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Missouri, and Auburn. After wins over Kentucky, LSU, and South Carolina, Ole Miss fell versus Mississippi State and Vanderbilt on the way to a 19-8 overall run through their first 27 games of the season so far.

In the Vanderbilt matchup back on Saturday, the Rebels came out of halftime sporting a 41-33 deficit. Ole Miss got better from there on a 39-36 run but still lost 77-72 in the end. Leading the team in the defeat was Malik Dia with 22 points, seven boards, two blocks, one assist, and one steal. Sean Pedulla added 21 points with six boards and four assists with one steal, while Jaylen Murray chipped in on 10 points, three rebounds, five assists, and two steals. The only bench points (eight) came from Jaemyn Brakefield alongside his six rebounds in 26 minutes.

Auburn Tigers Betting Preview

Over on the Auburn side, they’ve only got two blemishes on the card so far this year. The Tigers opened on a nice 21-1 run with a lone loss to Duke. Among wins over Vermont, Houston, Kent State, North Alabama, Iowa State, North Carolina, Memphis, Richmond, Ohio State, Georgia State, Purdue, Monmouth, Missouri, Texas, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU and Ole Miss. After another loss to Florida on February 8, the Tigers have since taken out Vanderbilt, Alabama, Arkansas, and Georgia. That gives Auburn a 25-2 overall record through 27 games so far this season.

Matched up against Georgia in their most recent outing, the Tigers held a 29-24 edge in the first half. Auburn hit a 53-46 run the rest of the way and powered out the win 82-70 in the end. Johni Broome led the team on his 31 points with 14 rebounds, four assists, and two blocks. Denver Jones added 17 points with one assist, while both Chad Baker-Mazara (four assists; three rebounds) and Miles Kelly (eight rebounds; two assists) each chipped in 11 points apiece. Chaney Johnson added four points off the bench as well.

Why the Auburn Tigers will win

  • Auburn has won each of its last 25 games at Neville Arena against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Ole Miss has lost 21 of its last 23 games against AP-ranked opponents.
  • Auburn has won the first half in each of its last 25 games at Neville Arena against non-AP-ranked opponents.

Why the Ole Miss Rebels will win

  • Ole Miss has won 13 of its last 14 night games.
  • Ole Miss has won the first half in three of its last four night games against AP-ranked opponents.

Auburn vs Ole Miss Prediction

I may take a stab at Ole Miss here. The Rebels will certainly need to play their best in order to be competitive though, and coming off a pair of losses that’s admittedly a lot to ask. Ole Miss shot a tepid 41.7 percent from the field in their latest loss to Vanderbilt, getting out-rebounded 37-30 along the way. The good news is that the Rebels were great from the line (13-of-15 for 86.7 percent) and they scored 21 points off 13 Vanderbilt turnovers. Still, Ole Miss has given up a combined 158 points across their last two games and they’re about to face a high-scoring Tigers offense.

The last time these teams saw each other back on February 1, Auburn secured a 92-82 win on the road. Ole Miss didn’t play too badly, shooting 46.4 percent from the field. The Rebels just couldn’t keep up with the Tigers’ pace though, as Auburn shot 48.4 percent with a 41-30 rebounding edge. I like Ole Miss to get in there for a cover during the rematch if all goes well, though.

The Ole Miss Rebels and Vanderbilt Commodores meet on Saturday in college basketball action at the Memorial Gymnasium. Here’s an Vanderbilt vs Ole Miss Prediction. This article will include an Ole Miss vs Vanderbilt Pick.

Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview

The Ole Miss Rebels (19-7, 14-11-1 ATS) responded to a three-game losing skid with four wins in six games, defeating Kentucky at home and LSU and South Carolina on the road. The Rebels did lose 81-71 to Mississippi State at home – the second L to their hated rivals this season. Without a mid-week game, Ole Miss is presented with five engaging contests leading up to the conference tournament, which is scheduled to begin on March 12 in Music City.

Ole Miss averages 77.8 PPG (88th) and allows 68.9 PPG (90th). The Rebels are 307th in rebounds (33.8) and 92nd in assists (15.3). Sean Pedulla leads the team with 14.6 PPG, a team-high 3.8 APG, and a team-high 2.0 SPG, while he also has 3.4 RPG. Matthew Murrell follows him with 11.4 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 2.1 APG, and 2.0 SPG, while Jaylen Murray and Jaemyn Brakefield contribute with 10.9 PPG each.

Vanderbilt Commodores Betting Preview

The Vanderbilt Commodores (17-9, 15-11 ATS) are going through a tough season phase as they lost five of the previous six games. Vanderbilt is currently on a three-game losing streak and it is back home after losing to Tennessee and Kentucky. During the game in Oklahoma, the team was in the lead by four points but experienced a substantial setback, being outscored 61-27, culminating in a 30-point defeat. In their encounter with Florida, they initially held a one-point lead but ultimately lost by 11 points. The situation worsened in Tennessee, where Vanderbilt was ahead by 13 points but squandered the opportunity to secure a victory, resulting in a five-point loss.

Vanderbilt is averaging 79.7 PPG (55th) and is allowing 72.9 PPG (214th). The Commodores are getting 34.8 RPG (249th) and are having 14.2 APG (161st). Jason Edwards is the team’s top scorer with 17.3 PPG. Devin McGlockton adds 10.9 PPG with a team-high 7.9 RPG, and a team-high 1.2 BPG, while AJ Hoggard has 10.2 PPG, a team-high 4.6 APG, and 1.2 SPG.

Why Ole Miss will beat Vanderbilt

  • Ole Miss has won 17 of its last 18 games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Vanderbilt has lost 16 of its last 18 games against AP-ranked opponents.
  • The road team has won the first half in five of Vanderbilt’s last six games.

Total Points Facts

  • Each of the last eight games between Ole Miss and Vanderbilt has produced a total of 152 or fewer points.
  • Each of Ole Miss’ last six games against non-AP-ranked opponents has produced a total of 142 or fewer points.

Vanderbilt vs Ole Miss Prediction

Ole Miss won six of the previous ten H2H duels, while the Rebels also won four of the last six at Vanderbilt. The Commodores are playing well at home this year (12-2), but Ole Miss is in better form at the moment and is looking for a top-four finish in the SEC.

It’s going to be a tight one and it could go either way, but I prefer Ole Miss right now because of the current form. They don’t even have to win here, just not to lose by more than a point. Also, we can’t ignore the fact that the rebels won each of the last two road games.

In this article, we will formulate an Ole Miss vs Mississippi State Prediction for this college basketball game on Saturday,  February 15th, at the The Pavillion. Let’s take a look at an Ole Miss Rebels vs Mississippi State Bulldogs pick.

When these two teams faced off in January it was Mississippi State that secured the 84-81 victory in overtime.

Mississippi State Can’t Get Over the Hump

Mississippi State has had issues getting over the hump, and just when you start to trust them, they fall flat again. Two games ago against Georgia, Mississippi State was able to secure the 76-75 victory. In the last game though, they were at home against the Florida Gators, and they ended up losing 81-68. At halftime, they were up by a point, but in the second half, they gave up 48 points, and that led to the defeat. The Bulldogs shot 41.4 percent from the field but only 25.9 percent from behind the three point line.

Mississippi State comes into this game with a 17-7 record overall and they have gone 10-14 against the spread. Away from home they have gone 5-2 straight up. Mississippi State is averaging 79.3 points while their defense is giving up 71.8 points per game. The offense is ranked 84th in the league while the defense is ranked 80th. Josh Hubbard has been the top player for Mississippi State and he’s averaging 17.6 points while shooting 40 percent from the field.

Why Mississippi State Will Beat Ole Miss

  • Ole Miss has lost 15 of its last 16 day games against AP-ranked opponents.
  • Mississippi State has won each of its last six day games against Ole Miss.
  • Mississippi State has won the first half in four of its last five day games.

Ole Miss is Heating Up

Ole Miss is heating up and they have won three games in a row over the Kentucky Wildcats, Auburn Tigers, and South Carolina Gamecocks. Against South Carolina in the last game they went on the road and were able to secure the 72-68 victory. At halftime they were up 42-30 and even though they didn’t play as well in the second half they were still able to hold to the win. Ole Miss shot 45.5 percent from the field and 61.5 percent from behind the three-point line. Forward Malik Dia had a strong game putting up 18 points and three rebounds.

Ole Miss comes into this game with a 19-6 record overall and they have gone 14-10-1 against the spread. At home this season they have gone 11-2 straight up. Ole Miss is averaging 78.1 points while their defense is giving up 68.4 points per game. The offense is ranked 84th in the league while the defense is ranked 80th. Sean Pedulla has been the star of the show, averaging 14.6 points while shooting 43.8 percent from the field and 39.9 percent from behind the three-point line.

Ole Miss vs Mississippi State Prediction

Give me Mississippi State here. Mississippi State already ahs a won over Ole Miss this year, and they are going to have no issue running up the score here. Yes they struggled in the last game against Florida, but I don’t trust this Ole Miss offense to be as consistent. Look for another big game from Josh Hubbard and it’s going to be Mississippi State is going to end up covering the spread here.

In this article, we will formulate a South Carolina vs Ole Miss Prediction for this college basketball game on Wednesday, February 12th, at the Colonial Life Arena. Let’s take a look at the South Carolina Gamecocks vs Ole Miss Rebels Pick.

Can Ole Miss Win a Third Straight Game?

Ole Miss suddenly has all kinds of confidence, and they have won two straight games. Two games ago against Kentucky, Ole Miss scored 98 points on the way to the victory. In the last game against LSU, they went on the road and were able to secure a 72-70 victory. At halftime, they were down, but in the second half, they scored 39 points, and that was enough to pick up the victory. Guard Dre Davis had a strong game, putting up 22 points and seven rebounds. There were four different players that put up at least 10 points.

Ole Miss sits with an 18-6 record overall, and they have gone 14-10 against the spread. Ole Miss is averaging 78.3 points while their defense is giving up 68.5 points per game. The offense is ranked 86th in the league and they have gone 14-10 against the spread. Away from home, they have gone 4-3 straight up. Sean Pedulla is averaging 15 points while shooting 44.8 percent from the field.  After this game, Ole Miss will meet Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Auburn, and Oklahoma

Why Ole Miss Will Beat South Carolina

  • South Carolina has lost each of its last 11 games against Conference opponents.
  • Ole Miss has won 16 of its last 17 games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Ole Miss has won the first half in seven of its last nine games against South Carolina.

Big Test for South Carolina

South Carolina has struggled heading into this game but this is a big test for them. South Carolina has lost 10 games in a row, and a lot of them haven’t been all that close. In the last game against Kentucky, South Carolina scored 57 points, but the defense gave up 80 points, leading to the blowout. South Carolina shot only 32.8 percent from the field and 18.2 percent from behind the three-point line. Collin Murray-Boyles was the top player for South Carolina putting up 14 points, eight rebounds, and one assist.

Overall, the Gamecocks have a 10-13 record, and they have gone 10-12 against the spread. South Carolina is averaging 69.9 points, while their defense is giving up 69.7 points per game. The offense is ranked 289th in the league, while the defense is ranked 115th. The defense overall for this team hasn’t been awful, but the lack of playing any sort of defense has been a major problem.

South Carolina vs Ole Miss Prediction

I am not even concerned that Ole Miss is playing on the road; they are going to have no issue getting the job done in this game. This South Carolina offense just isn’t that good, and overall, they are averaging only 69.9 points per game. Compare that to Ole Miss, who averages 78.3 points per game. South Carolina is going to have no answer with the defense, and Ole Miss is going to cruise here. Back Ole Miss against the spread.

In this article we will formulate a LSU vs Ole Miss prediction for this College Basketball game on Saturday, February 8th at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this College Basketball matchup.

LSU Tigers Betting Preview

The LSU Tigers are 12-10 (1-8) this year after they lost to Georgia by a score of 81-62 in their last game. LSU trailed 37-31 at halftime and allowed 44 points in the second half in the loss. The Tigers shot 36.2% from the field, 36.4% on three pointers, and 61.5% on free throws in the game. Jordan Sears led LSU with 11 points and two assists, while Daimion Collins added 10 points and six rebounds in the loss.

Prior to that game, the Tigers lost to Texas by a score of 89-58 and Auburn by a score of 87-74. LSU has lost five games in a row and they are currently second to last in the SEC standings with a 1-8 record. LSU has scored 77.3 points per game and they have allowed 72.3 points against per game, while also averaging 37.7 rebounds and 13.3 assists per game this season. Cam Carter is averaging 17.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game, while Jordan Sears is averaging 13.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game this year. LSU is shooting 45.7% from the field, 75.6% on free throws, and 30.9% on three pointers this season.

Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview

The Ole Miss Rebels are 17-6 (6-4) this season after they defeated Kentucky by a score of 98-84 in their last game. Ole Miss led 54-31 at halftime, but they did allow 53 points in the second half in the loss. The Rebels shot 54.7% from the field, 43.3% on three pointers, and 71.4% on free throws in the game. Matthew Murrell led Ole Miss with 24 points and five rebounds, while Dre Davis added 17 points and three rebounds in the win.

Prior to that victory, the Rebels lost to Auburn by a score of 92-82, but did beat Texas by a score of 72-69 before that. Ole Miss has lost four of their last six games and they are currently tied for sixth in the SEC standings with a 6-4 record. Ole Miss has scored 78.6 points per game and they have allowed 68.4 points against per game, while also averaging 33.8 rebounds and 15.7 assists per game this season. Sean Pedulla is averaging 14.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game, while Matthew Murrell is averaging 11.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game this year. Ole Miss is shooting 45% from the field, 72.8% on free throws, and 35.3% on three pointers this season.

Why LSU will beat Ole Miss

  • LSU has won eight of its last nine games at Pete Maravich Assembly Center when playing with a rest disadvantage.
  • Ole Miss has lost each of its last four games at Pete Maravich Assembly Center against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Ole Miss has lost the first half in four of its last five road games.

Why Ole Miss will beat LSU

  • Ole Miss has won each of its last nine night games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • LSU has lost nine of its last 10 games against the Southeastern Conference.
  • LSU has lost the first half in eight of its last nine games against the Southeastern Conference at Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

Total Points Facts

  • Each of LSU’s last nine home games have produced a total of 147+ points.
  • Eight of Ole Miss’ last nine games against non-AP-ranked opponents have produced a total of 142 or fewer points.

Matchup/League Facts

  • LSU ranks 17th among Division 1 teams for blocks per game this season (5.2).
  • LSU ranks 49th among Division 1 teams for opponent field goal percentage this season (40.8%).
  • Ole Miss ranks T1st among Division 1 teams for turnovers per game this season (8.9).
  • Ole Miss ranks 2nd among Division 1 teams for turnover percentage this season (11.3%).

LSU vs Ole Miss Prediction

LSU comes into this matchup with just a 1-8 record in conference play, but they will be at home for this game. The Tigers have had major issues on defense in recent weeks, as they have allowed 80+ points in four straight games. Ole Miss has won two of their last three games and they are scoring nearly 79 points per game, but they are 0-2 in their last two road games. The Rebels have allowed 82+ points in three of their last four games, so neither defense is playing very well right now. Ole Miss should get the win on the road, but I think we are going to see plenty of points in this game, so take the over here.

The Kentucky Wildcats and the Ole Miss Rebels meet Tuesday in college basketball action from the Pavilion. Here’s an Ole Miss vs Kentucky prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Ole Miss vs Kentucky pick.

Kentucky Wildcats Betting Preview

The Wildcats have been rolling along at a nice clip for most of the year. That said, Kentucky has run into some losses over their last handful of outings. During a 7-0 opening run, the Wildcats took out Wright State, Bucknell, Duke, Lipscomb, Jackson State, Western Kentucky, and Georgia State in succession. Kentucky lost to Clemson, then hit a 5-1 stretch that included wins over Gonzaga, Colgate, Louisville, Brown, and Florida among a loss to Ohio State. Since then Kentucky has been on a 3-4 run. The Wildcats have losses to Georgia, Alabama, Vanderbilt, and Arkansas in that time, winning otherwise over Mississippi State, Texas A&M, and Tennessee. The result so far has been a 15-6 overall run through their first 21 games this year.

In the Arkansas game on Saturday, the Wildcats entered the second half in a 46-45 deficit. Kentucky didn’t end up getting any closer than that, posting a 43-34 run for an 89-79 loss in the end. Leading the team in the losing effort was Amari Williams, who notched a double-double on 22 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and one steal. Jaxson Robinson added 20 points with three rebounds and two assists, while Ansley Almonor put up 12 points with three boards and two assists. Otega Oweh chipped in 10 points with two rebounds as well.

Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview

Over on the Rebels’ side, their year similarly started quite well through the middle part of January. Ole Miss has taken some lumps lately during a run of difficult matchups, though. In an 11-1 start, the Rebels lost to only Purdue, otherwise taking out Long Island U, Grambling, South Alabama, Colorado State, Oral Roberts, BYU, Louisville, Lindenwood, Southern Miss, Southern, and Queens U in that time. Following a loss to Memphis, the Rebels beat Georgia, Arkansas, LSU, and Alabama in their next four. Since then Ole Miss is just 1-4 with a lone win over Texas. Otherwise, it’s been losses to Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Missouri, and Auburn for a 16-6 record so far through the first 22 games of the 2024-25 season.

Matched up against Auburn in their Saturday game, the Rebels went into the locker room trailing 41-34. Ole Miss didn’t end up getting any closer than that on a 51-48 second half and took the loss at home 92-82. Leading the team in the defeat was Sean Pedulla with 29 points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists. Matthew Murrell added 17 points with four rebounds, while Jaemyn Brakefield had 12 points with five rebounds, one assist and one steal. Malik Dia chipped in nine points with four rebounds and three assists as well.

Why the Ole Miss Rebels will win

  • Ole Miss has won 10 of its last 11 night games.
  • Kentucky has lost three of its last four games.
  • Kentucky has lost the first half in each of its last four games against the Southeastern Conference.

Why the Kentucky Wildcats will win

  • Ole Miss has lost 20 of its last 21 games against AP-ranked opponents.
  • Kentucky has won nine of its last 10 games against AP-ranked opponents.
  • Ole Miss has lost the first half in five of its last six games against the Southeastern Conference.

Total Points Facts

  • Eighteen of Ole Miss’ last 19 night games against AP-ranked opponents have produced a total of 155 or fewer points.
  • Each of Kentucky’s last three night games at The Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss have produced a total of 156 or fewer points.

Ole Miss vs Kentucky Prediction

I’m going to take a stab at Ole Miss here. The Rebels are coming off a tough matchup versus a very good Auburn team, but they didn’t play too badly in the defeat—outside of the 41-30 rebounding deficit and 48.4 percent shooting allowed, that is. Ole Miss shot 46.4 percent from the field themselves and scored 17 points off 12 Tigers turnovers. The 24-of-35 (68.6 percent) from the line and 22-11 disparity in assists didn’t help either. Ole Miss has now lost four of their last five games, with all four of those losses coming to ranked teams. For the most part, however, the Rebels are still scoring pretty well in defeat.

As for Kentucky, they’ve lost three of their last four with the most two recent defeats coming against unranked (but talented) squads. The Wildcats are also scoring quite well themselves, so this one should be another fairly high total. In the end, I like Ole Miss to power out the eventual cover at home, but you could probably make a case either way.

The Auburn Tigers and the Ole Miss Rebels meet Saturday in college basketball action from the Pavilion. Here’s an Ole Miss vs Auburn prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Ole Miss vs Auburn pick.

Auburn Tigers Betting Preview

It’s been a great run for the Tigers so far this season. They’ve got just one blemish on the card so far, and that came way back in early December. Auburn opened up the year with wins over Vermont, Houston, Kent State, North Alabama, Iowa State, North Carolina and Memphis, then took their first (and only, so far) loss to Duke on December 4 by a score of 84-78. Since then it’s been another lengthy string of wins for the Tigers. Those victories have come courtesy of Richmond, Ohio State, Georgia State, Purdue, Monmouth, Missouri, Texas, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Georgia, Tennessee and LSU in succession. The result so far has been an excellent 19-1 mark in the record column thus far through 20 gams for the Tigers.

In their Wednesday matchup with LSU, the Tigers came out of the locker room with a dominant 41-29 edge. Auburn kept it up in the second on a 46-45 run and took the eventual victory 87-74 in the end. Tops in scoring on the team was Johni Broome with 26 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks. Miles Kelly added 13 points with three rebounds and three steals in 29 minutes. Leading the team off the bench was Tahaad Pettiford with 10 points, three boards and two assists in 23 minutes of work on the court.

Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview

Over on the Ole Miss side, they maintained form for most of the year so far, and were looking good in mid-January. The Rebels have since fallen off and collected a few more losses, however. Ole Miss went 11-1 over their first 12 games. The lone defeat in that time was versus Purdue. Otherwise it was wins over Long Island University, Grambling, South Alabama, Colorado State, Oral Roberts, BYU, Louisville, Southern Miss, Southern and Queens University. After another loss to Memphis on December 28, the Tigers got back to business with wins over Georgia, Arkansas, LSU and Alabama. Since then it’s been a 1-3 run with losses to Mississippi State, Texas A&M and Missouri. Ole Miss stopped the bleeding with a win over Texas in their last outing though, giving the Rebels a 16-5 overall run through the first 21 games this year.

Matched up against Texas on Wednesday, the Rebels came out of the break with a 38-34 deficit. Ole Miss came back in the second half though, posting a 38-31 run for a 72-69 victory in the end. Leading the charge for the Rebels was Sean Pedulla with 19 points, four rebounds and five assists. Dre Davis added 17 points with seven boards and two blocks. Jaemyn Brakefield put up 18 points with five rebounds and three assists with one steal and one block in 31 minutes of work off the bench as well.

Why the Ole Miss Rebels will win

  • Ole Miss has won four of its last five day games against Auburn.
  • Auburn has lost the first half in three of its last four road day games against the Southeastern Conference.

Why the Auburn Tigers will win

  • Auburn has won each of its last 13 games against Conference opponents.
  • Ole Miss has lost each of its last eight home games against AP-ranked opponents.
  • Ole Miss has lost the first half in six of its last seven day games against AP-ranked opponents.

Total Points Facts

  • Thirteen of Ole Miss’ last 14 day games against Conference opponents at The Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss have produced a total of 146 or fewer points.
  • Eleven of Auburn’s last 12 road day games against the Southeastern Conference have produced a total of 147 or fewer points.

Ole Miss vs Auburn Prediction

I’m just going to stay with Auburn here. You could call this one either way, though. It’ll be a fun game. Auburn was firmly in control of their last road win over LSU, outmuscling the opposition 47-34 on the boards and collecting 22 points off 20 LSU turnovers. Auburn didn’t shoot very well themselves though, hitting just 40 percent from the field.

As for Ole Miss, they didn’t play particularly well in their latest win over a pretty good Texas team. The Rebels shot just 39.7 percent from the field and got out-rebounded 42-33 in a three-point victory. The 13 points off 11 Longhorns turnovers really made the difference in that one, however Ole Miss isn’t going to be able to rely on mistakes this time with Auburn.

In this article, we will formulate an Ole Miss vs. Texas Prediction for this college basketball game on Wednesday, January 29th, at the Pavillion. Let’s take a look at an Ole Miss Rebels vs Texas Longhorns pick.

What a Comeback for Texas

Texas in the last game faced off against the Texas A&M Aggies and they were able to pick up the big victory. At halftime, they were down 43-25 and they looked to be out of it. In the second half though they made the big comeback though and they ended up winning 70-69. Guard Tre Johnson put up 30 points, four assists, and one rebound. There were three different players that put up at least nine points.

Texas comes into this game with a 14-6 record overall and they have gone 11-8-1 against the spread. Texas is averaging 78.9 points while their defense is giving up 66.3 points per game. The offense is ranked 78th in the league while the defense is ranked 51st in the league. Tre Johnson has been the top player averaging 18.8 points while shooting 45 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from behind the three-point line. Texas will face LSU following this one

Why Texas Will Beat Ole Miss

  • Ole Miss has lost each of its last three games against the Southeastern Conference.
  • Texas has won three of its last four games.

Ole Miss Has Lost Three Straight Games

Ole Miss is suddenly struggling all of a sudden and they have lost three straight games. Two games ago against Texas A&M they were competitive but still ended up losing 63-62. In the last game against Missouri, they couldn’t keep it close and they ended up losing 85-73. At halftime, they were down 38-31 and they couldn’t fight back. In this game, they can’t get out to a slow start again.

Ole Miss comes into this game with a 15-5 record overall and they have gone 13-7 against the spread. Ole Miss is averaging 77.8 points while their defense is giving up 66.4 points per game. Sean Pedulla has been the top player putting up 14.3 points per game while shooting 43.8 percent from the field and 38.8 percent from behind the three-point line. There were five different players that put up at least 10 points. In this game, the defense is going to need to be a whole lot better. Ole Miss will take on Auburn, Kentucky, LSU, South Carolina, and Mississippi State after this game.

Ole Miss vs Texas Prediction

Give me Texas here, although I don’t think they are going to win this game. Texas is a strong offensive team overall this season averaging 78.9 points per game and they are going to have no issue running up the score here. Ole Miss probably has the offense to win this game, but this is too many points for them to lay. It’s going to come down to the final seconds. Back Texas against the spread.

The Texas A&M Aggies and the Texas Longhorns meet Saturday in college basketball action from the Moody Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Texas A&M vs Texas Prediction.

Texas A&M Recap

The Texas A&M Aggies come into this game looking to build on a 63-62 win over Ole Miss last time out to improve to 15-4 on the year. After this game, Texas A&M will head home to take on Oklahoma.

Aggies Win Back-To-Back Games

Zhuric Phelps leads the Aggies in scoring with 15.5 PPG along with 5.1 RPG and 2.8 APG as well as 2.1 SPG while Wade Taylor’s added 14.7 PPG with 3.3 RPG and a team-high 4.8 APG to lead the Aggies in assists as the only other double-digit scorer for Texas A&M so far this season. Henry Coleman II also has 7.9 PPG with 4.8 RPG while Pharrel Payne has 9.1 PPG with 4.6 RPG. Solomon Washington also has a team-high 6.1 RPG as well on the year. As a team, Texas A&M is averaging 75.7 PPG on 42.6% shooting from the field, 30.3% from three and 67.9% from the foul line this season.

Why the Texas A&M Aggies will win

  • Texas A&M has won each of its last seven games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Texas has lost 10 of its last 11 games against AP-ranked opponents.

Texas Recap

The Texas Longhorns come into this game looking to build on a 61-53 win over Missouri last time out to improve to 13-6 on the year. After this game, Texas will head on the road to take on Ole Miss.

Longhorns Looking For Consistency

Tre Johnson leads the Longhorns in scoring with 18.2 PPG along with 2.8 RPG and 2 APG while Arthur Kaluma has 13.8 PPG with a team-high 8.2 RPG to lead the Longhorns in rebounding and Jordan Pope has 12.4 PPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Texas so far this season. Tramon Mark has 9.1 PPG with 3.5 RPG and Kadin Shedrick has 7.9 PPG with 5.9 RPG as well this year. Julian Larry is also contributing 5.5 PPG with a team-high 3.8 APG to lead the Longhorns in the assist department up to this point in the year. As a team, Texas is averaging 79.4 PPG on 48.3% shooting from the field, 37.3% from three and 74.8% from the foul line this season.

Why the Texas Longhorns will win

  • Texas has won 10 of its last 11 games when playing with a rest advantage.

Total Points Facts

  • Eight of Texas’ last nine day games against AP-ranked opponents have produced a total of 143+ points.
  • Seven of Texas A&M’s last eight day games against the Southeastern Conference have produced a total of 142+ points.

Texas A&M vs Texas Prediction

I’m on Texas A&M in this one. I can understand the allure of taking points with Texas in the home underdog role, but the thing is that I don’t think a letdown is in store here for the Aggies as I think Texas A&M is just the far more talented lineup in this spot. I’m not really all that high on the Longhorns this season, as this is an inexperienced team for the most part that has had a hard time stringing positive results together against top-tier teams. The Aggies are coming off of that big win over Ole Miss and I think they keep the momentum going with a win and cover on the road here.

In this article, we will formulate a Missouri vs Ole Miss Prediction for this college basketball game on Saturday, January 25th, at the Mizzou Arena. Let’s take a look at a Missouri Tigers vs Ole Miss Rebels Pick.

Ole Miss Has Lost Two Straight Games

Ole Miss has lost two straight games and they are suddenly struggling heading into this game. Two games ago against Mississippi State they ended up losing 84-81 and in the last game against Texas A&M they ended up losing 63-62. Sean Pedulla was the top player putting up 16 points, three rebounds, and one assist. There were four different players that put up at least 10 points. At halftime they were up 33-26 but in the second half they didn’t play as well.

Ole Miss comes into this game with a 15-4 record overall and they have gone 13-6 against the spread. Ole Miss is averaging 77.9 poins while their defense is giving up 65.5 points per game. Ole Miss is averaging 77.9 points per game while their defense is giving up 65.5 points per game. The offense is ranked 97th in the league while the defense is ranked 37th in the league. They are averaging 15.84 assists per game which is 74th in the league.
