Atlanta Dream Betting Preview

The Dream won 15 games last season and now begin the Karl Smesko era. The Dream have made the playoffs the last two years, but they haven’t won a playoff series since the 2018 season. Last season the Dream were the worst scoring team in the WNBA and time will tell if that’s going to improve. However, the Dream made splashy additions in Brittney Griner and Brionna Jones, which will improve the defense. With 13 all-star berths between them, the Dream have star power and will be more watchable this season.

Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard will have less attention on them with those additions, and it should free up the offense. The Dream are still a step or two behind the contenders, but this is a playoff roster and there’s a chance to win their first series in seven years.

Washington Mystics Betting Preview

The Mystics won 14 games last season and will begin the Sydney Johnson era. The Mystics missed the playoffs last year and haven’t won a playoff since 2019 when they won the title. The Mystics are a team in rebuild mode, as they moved off of veterans and drafted Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen. If things don’t break well, Brittney Sykes could be moved as well for even more draft capital. If anything, losing this season wouldn’t be a bad thing when you consider DC native Azzi Fudd could be in play.
