Jake Oettinger has allowed 32 goals on 394 shots faced, and Casey DeSmith has given up 1 goal on 14 shots.

Why the Dallas Stars will win

  • The Stars have won each of their last six games at American Airlines Center.
  • The Oilers have lost four of their last five games at American Airlines Center after coming off overtime.
  • The Stars have covered the puck line in each of their last nine games against opponents on a winning streak.
  • The Oilers have failed to cover the puck line in three of their last four night games at American Airlines Center after coming off overtime.
  • The Stars have won the third period in each of their last six games as favorites against opponents on a winning streak.

Why the Edmonton Oilers will win

  • The Oilers have won each of their last 10 road games against Central Division opponents.
  • The Stars have lost eight of their last nine Game 1s of a playoff series.
  • The Oilers have covered the puck line in each of their last eight games as underdogs against Central Division opponents.
  • The Stars have failed to cover the puck line in five of their last six games as favorites after coming off overtime.

Stars vs Oilers Injury Report

The Oilers will be without Calvin Pickard, Mattias Ekholm, and Alec Regula.

The Stars will be without Nils Lundkvist.

Stars vs Oilers Prediction

The Stars should be favored at home, where they’ve won six straight games. The Oilers also haven’t played in a week, so who knows if the rest will turn into rust. With that said, we’ve seen the Stars fold in the conference finals in each of the last two years. The Oilers have looked like a team on a mission in these playoffs, and there’s value to getting them in the underdog role given their playoff success dating back to last season. Also, the Oilers have won their last four games as an underdog. With wins in eight of their last nine games and an improved effort defensively, I’m rolling with the Oilers and the more favorable price.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Prediction

Edmonton comes into this matchup looking to eliminate Vegas from the playoffs, but they will be on the road. The Golden Knights have been one of the top home teams in the NHL this season, but they did lose games one and two on home ice. Vegas was able to get a last second win in game three of this series in Edmonton, but they showed very little signs of life in game four. I know we saw just three goals in game four in this series, but I think we will get back to high scoring hockey here, as Vegas will have to be aggressive to keep up with Edmonton’s fast pace. Take the over here.

In this article, we will formulate an Oilers vs Golden Knights prediction for this NHL game on Monday, May 12, at Rogers Place in Edmonton, AB. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this NHL matchup.

Vegas Golden Knights Betting Preview

The Vegas Golden Knights (55-25-11, 50-41 ATS) dropped both home games to the Edmonton Oilers, and not only that they lost the home-ice advantage, they also were in jeopardy of losing 3-0. However, the Knights bounced back with a 4-3 victory in Game 3 in Edmonton, thanks to the last-second goal from Reilly Smith, his second in the game. Nicolas Roy and William Karlsson also scored for Vegas, while Adin Hill saved 17 of 20 shots he faced.

The Golden Knights score 3.11 goals per game on average in the playoffs (9th), while they concede 3.44 GPG (10th). This postseason, Jack Eichel leads the team with 10 points (1 G and 9 A). Mark Stone has 8 points (4 G and 4 A), while Alex Pietrangelo chips in with 6 points (2 G and 4 A).

Adin Hill (5-4-0) is expected to start for the Golden Knights at the goal on Monday against the Oilers. The 29-year-old is allowing 3.14 goals per game this playoffs with a .872 SV% and no shutouts.

Edmonton Oilers Betting Preview

The Edmonton Oilers (54-32-5, 36-55 ATS) were on a six-game winning streak after defeating the Kings in four straight and opening this series against Vegas with a pair of victories. The Oilers looked unstoppable after those two wins in Sin City, and opened Game 3 at home with a 2-0 lead, but the Knights responded with three goals and then snatched the win as time expired. Corey Perry scored a brace for Edmonton, while Connor McDavid also found the back of the net. Stuart Skinner stopped 20 of 24 shots he faced.

The Oilers average 4.33 goals per game this postseason (1st), while they allow 3.78 GPG (13th). Connor McDavid leads the team with 16 points (3 G and 13 A). Leon Draisaitl contributes 15 points (5 G and 10 A), while Evan Bouchard has 11 points (4 G and 7 A).

Stuart Skinner (0-3-0) will likely take his place in the cage for the Oilers on Monday against the Golden Knights. The 26-year-old is allowing 5.36 goals per game this playoffs with a .817 SV% and no shutouts.

Total Goals Facts

  • Each of the Golden Knights’ last three night games against the Oilers following a road win have gone UNDER the total goals line.
  • Three of the Oilers’ last four games following a loss have gone OVER the total goals line.
  • The ‘Over 1.5 Goals Period 3′ market has hit in each of the Oilers’ last nine games as home favorites.
  • The ‘Over 1.5 Goals Period 1′ market has hit in eight of the Golden Knights’ last nine games against Western Conference opponents.

Matchup/League Facts

  • The Edmonton Oilers rank T3rd in the league in short handed goals allowed this season (4).
  • The Edmonton Oilers rank T4th in the league for Period 3 goals allowed per game this season (0.91).
  • The Vegas Golden Knights are one of only three teams in the league to rank top 5 for both goals for and goals against per game this season.
  • The Vegas Golden Knights rank 5th in the league for goals per game this season (3.34).

Oilers vs Golden Knights Prediction

The Oilers won six of the previous ten H2H encounters, including four of the last five. This season, Edmonton leads the series 4-3. All three games of this playoff series were high-scoring and very entertaining, and I expect more of the same on Monday. The Golden Knights are still in a precarious position and cannot afford to lose, as it will be hard to recover from a 3-1 deficit. Both teams will be aggressive, which can lead to a classic shootout and a minimum of seven goals. I am backing the Over.

The Edmonton Oilers are up 2-0 in this series after they won game two in overtime by a score of 5-4 on Thursday night. Edmonton trailed 1-0 after the first period, but they led 4-2 early in the third. The Oilers allowed Vegas to tie the game, but they won late in the first overtime on a goal from Draisaitl. The Oilers got goals from Draisaitl, Kane, Podkolzin, Nurse, and Walman, while Pickard stopped 28 out of 32 shots in the game.

Prior to that game, the Oilers won game one against Vegas by a score of 4-2. In the first round, Edmonton trailed the Kings 2-0, but they won four straight to advance to the second round. Calvin Pickard is 6-0 with a 2.84 goals against average and an .888 save percentage in the postseason.

Vegas Golden Knights Betting Preview

The Vegas Golden Knights are down 0-2 in the series and they desperately need a win here. In their game two loss, Vegas cut the deficit to 3-2 late in the second and they were able to score twice in the third to force overtime. The Golden Knights had a ton of great chances in overtime and they killed a five minute power play for Edmonton, but couldn’t stop McDavid on a late drive to the net. Vegas recorded 32 shots on goal, won 56.6% of the face-offs, and went 2-4 on the power play in the game. Vegas got goals from Karlsson, Olofsson (2), and Pietrangelo, while Hill stopped 32 out of 37 shots in the loss.

Prior to this series, the Golden Knights defeated Minnesota in six games to advance to the second round. Oilers vs Golden Knights Prediction

Edmonton comes into this matchup looking to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the series, and they will be on home ice. The Oilers continue to play very well and they have won six games in a row in these playoffs. Vegas had plenty of chances to win game two, but they aren’t getting great goaltending from Hill. I do like how Vegas played in game two and let’s not forget the blown lead in game one, so they are only a few plays away from being up 2-0 themselves. I think Vegas with the plus money is the right move between two evenly matched teams. Take the Golden Knights here.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Prediction

I’m on the over in this one. Both of these teams have rock solid offensive units and some questionable goaltending to put in bluntly. The Oilers don’t just have McDavid and Draisaitl showing up right now, everyone else seems to be getting involved as well. On the other side, Vegas still has a deep forward unit and a great home ice edge. So, I think the over is the way to go in this one, as I think we have a back and forth game here.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Prediction

Both of these teams come into this matchup with plenty of momentum and nice winning streaks, but Vegas will have the home ice. Edmonton played a wide open series with LA in the first round, which involved a ton of scoring, while Vegas played very tight defense against the Wild. This should be a very entertaining series and I think either team could win, but I can’t back away from another over with this Edmonton team. The Oilers are very skilled offensively, but their goaltending is a huge question mark. Take the over here.

In this article, we will formulate a Oilers vs Kings Prediction for this NHL game on Thursday, May 1st, at Citi Field. Let’s take a look at an Edmonton Oilers vs LA Kings pick.

Kings are Blowing It

Remember a couple of games ago where the Kings were up 2-1 and they looked like they were cruising with a 6-2 victory Well those days are suddenly behind them and now they have to win the next two games even to make it to the next round of the playoffs. On Tuesday, the Kings scored one goal in the second period, but that wasn’t enough, as they ultimately lost 3-1. Andrei Kuzmenko scored the one goal for the Kings.

The defense allowed the Oilers to shoot 45 shots on goa,l and Darcy Kuemper was actually good, saving 43 of the 45 shots that he faced. The Kings need to not allow so many shots in the goal. Adrian Kempe has had a big postseason and he has scored four goals and added six assists. Anze Kopitar has also scored one goal and added seven assists.

Oilers Are On Fire

The Oilers are on fire, and they have won three games in a row. Two games ago, the Oilers picked up the 4-3 victory in overtime, and on Tuesday, they secured the 3-1 victory. Mattias Janmark, Evander Kane, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins all scored a goal. Calvin Pickard was in goal and he saved 21 of the 22 shots that he faced. Even though the offense was good, the Oilers offense didn’t really get going until the third period, and they need to find a way to get the offense going earlier.

In the last game the Oilers lost they gave up six goals and they can’t have the defense really struggle again here. Connor McDavid has scored two goals and added eight assists. Leon Draisaitl has scored three goals and added seven assists.

Why the Oilers Will Beat the Kings

  • The Oilers have won each of their last eight games as home favorites.
  • The Kings have lost nine of their last 11 games at Rogers Place.
  • The favorites have covered the puck line in three of the Oilers’ last four games at Rogers Place.
  • The Oilers have won the second period in seven of their last eight games as favorites against Western Conference opponents at Rogers Place when tied after the first period.

Total Goal Facts

  • Seven of the Oilers’ last eight night games against opponents on a losing streak have gone UNDER the total goals line.
  • Six of the Kings’ last seven road games against Pacific Division opponents have gone OVER the total goals line.
  • Five of the last six night games between two teams from the Pacific Division have gone OVER the total goals line.
  • The ‘Over 1.5 Goals Period 2′ market has hit in each of the Oilers’ last 10 Thursday night games.
  • The ‘Over 1.5 Goals Period 3′ market has hit in each of the Kings’ last seven games.

Oilers vs Kings Prediction

Give me the Oilers here, even at a little steeper price. The Kings are going to have no issue here, and they are going to put on quite the show with the offense. They had 45 shots on goal in the last game and they are going to pepper shots again here. In this game, though, Kuemper isn’t going to be as strong, and the Oilers are going to start putting pucks in the back of the net early and often. The Kings’ offense won’t be good enough, and this will be a comfortable victory. Back the Oilers on the puck line.

Edmonton Oilers Betting Preview

The Edmonton Oilers (50-31-5, 32-54 ATS) dig themselves out of a 2-0 hole after defeating the Kings in Game 3 and Game 4 at home to tie the series. After allowing 12 goals in the opening two games, the Oilers answered with 11 goals in two duels at home. Edmonton came from 2-0 and 3-1 behind to force overtime and seal the victory. Leon Draisaitl scored in OT, Evan Bouchard bagged a couple of goals, while Corey Perry opened the scoring for the hosts. Calvin Pickard stopped 38 of 41 shots he faced.

The Oilers average 3.16 goals per game this year (11th), while they allow 2.87 GPG (14th). Leon Draisaitl leads the team with 115 points (55 G and 60 A). Connor McDavid contributes 109 points (28 G and 81 A), while Evan Bouchard has 74 points (18 G and 56 A).

Calvin Pickard (24-10-1) will likely take his place in the cage for the Oilers on Tuesday against the Kings. The 33-year-old is allowing 2.71 goals per game this year with a .900 SV% and no shutouts.

Los Angeles Kings Betting Preview

The Los Angeles Kings (50-26-10, 43-43 ATS) secured a couple of easy home wins to take a 2-0 lead in the series, but the situation changed when the series moved to Edmonton. The Kings were dismantled in the third period of Game 3 and dropped a two-goal lead twice in Game 4, and eventually lost 4-3 in overtime. Trevor Moore, Warren Foegele, and Kevin Fiala scored for Los Angeles, while Darcy Kuemper saved 44 of 48 shots he faced.

The Kings score 3.04 goals per game on average (14th), while they concede 2.48 GPG (2nd). This season, Adrian Kempe leads the team with 82 points (39 G and 43 A). Anze Kopitar has 74 points (22 G and 52 A), while Kevin Fiala chips in with 65 points (38 G and 27 A).

Darcy Kuemper (33-13-7) is expected to start for the Kings at the goal on Tuesday against the Oilers. The 34-year-old is allowing 2.02 goals per game this year with a .922 SV% and five shutouts.

Total Goals Facts

  • Each of the Kings’ last six games have gone OVER the total goals line.
  • Each of the Oilers’ last four games have gone OVER the total goals line.
  • Five of the last six games between teams from the same division have gone OVER the total goals line.
  • The ‘Over 1.5 Goals Period 1′ market has hit in each of the Oilers’ last seven night games at Crypto.com Arena against opponents on a losing streak.
  • The ‘Over 1.5 Goals Period 3′ market has hit in each of the Kings’ last six games against Pacific Division opponents.

Matchup/League Facts

  • The Los Angeles Kings rank 8th in the league in penalty kill percentage this season (81.43%).
  • The Los Angeles Kings rank 1st in the league for Period 1 goals allowed per game this season (0.55).
  • The Edmonton Oilers rank T3rd in the league in short-handed goals allowed this season (4).
  • The Edmonton Oilers rank T4th in the league for Period 3 goals allowed per game this season (0.91).

Kings vs Oilers Prediction

The teams have traded wins over the last couple of years, as each recorded five in the previous ten H2H encounters. This season, the Kings lead the series 5-3. Even though the Kings are extremely good at home and have the second-best defense in the NHL this season, I expect a high-scoring game again. It’s clear that the Oilers play a high-flying, attacking hockey, and no defense can stop the dynamic duo of Draisaitl and McDavid. The Kings are the favorites to win, but I will avoid betting on the winner because the momentum is on Edmonton’s side now, and it’s better to back the goals instead. Another 7+ goals is a possibility. I am going with Over.

Oilers vs Kings Prediction

Edmonton was able to avoid disaster with a strong third period in game three, but they need to play a complete game if they want to even this series at two. Los Angeles has had issues on the road this season, but I thought they played pretty well in game three, before that questionable challenge from their coach. I don’t like how either team is defending in this series and I definitely don’t trust Pickard in net for Edmonton, so I think we will see plenty of goals in this one. Take the over in game four.

In their game two win, the Kings led 3-0 in the second period, but they allowed Edmonton to cut the lead to 3-2, before putting the game away for the win. Oilers vs Kings Prediction

Los Angeles comes into this matchup looking to take a 3-0 lead, but I think this Edmonton offense will get going here. We saw Edmonton’s offense explode in the third period of game one and we saw flashes in game two, but I do think they play a complete game here. Neither team has been very good defensively in the series, but Edmonton has been very good at home this year, as they are 25-13-3 on home ice. On the other side, LA is a completely different team on the road, where they are just 17-19-5. Take the Oilers here.

Edmonton Oilers Betting Preview

The Edmonton Oilers (48-30-5, 31-52 ATS) concluded the regular season with four wins in five games to finish in 3rd place in the Pacific Division, four points behind the Kings. In Game 1 of the series against the Los Angeles Kings, the Oilers were down 4-0 but managed to respond and fight back to make it 5-5 late in the game, before the Kings scored the winner with just 42 seconds to go. Leon Draisaitl, Mattias Janmark, Corey Perry, Zach Hyma, and Connor McDavid scored for Edmonton in a 6-5 loss.

The Oilers average 3.16 goals per game this year (11th), while they allow 2.87 GPG (14th). Leon Draisaitl leads the team with 108 points (53 G and 55 A). Connor McDavid contributes 104 points (27 G and 77 A), while Evan Bouchard has 70 points (14 G and 56 A).

Stuart Skinner (26-19-4) will likely take his place in the cage for the Oilers on Wednesday against the Kings. The 26-year-old is allowing 2.81 goals per game this year with a .896 SV% and three shutouts.

Los Angeles Kings Betting Preview

The Los Angeles Kings (49-25-9, 41-42 ATS) closed the regular season on a high note, with eight wins in ten games to secure second place in the Pacific Division with 105 points, five behind the top-placed Golden Knights. The Kings opened Game 1 against the Oilers with a 4-0 lead, and just when many thought the hosts would book an easy victory, the Oilers fought back and equalized at 5-5. Phillip Danault saved the Kings with a winner and his second goal of the game late on. Andrei Kuzmenko, Quinton Byfield, Adrian Kempe, and Kevin Fiala also scored for Los Angeles.

The Kings score 3.04 goals per game on average (14th), while they concede 2.48 GPG (2nd). This season, Adrian Kempe leads the team with 76 points (36 G and 40 A). Anze Kopitar has 68 points (21 G and 47 A), while Kevin Fiala chips in with 62 points (36 G and 26 A).

Darcy Kuemper (32-11-7) is expected to start for the Kings at the goal on Wednesday against the Oilers. The 34-year-old is allowing 2.02 goals per game this year with a .922 SV% and five shutouts.

Why the Oilers will beat the Kings

  • The Oilers have won eight of their last 12 games as road underdogs.
  • The Kings have lost four of their last five Game 2s of a playoff series.
  • The road team has covered the puck line in each of the Kings’ last five games.
  • The Kings have failed to cover the puck line in four of their last five games at Crypto.com Arena.
  • The Kings have lost the third period in five of their last six games when trailing after the second period.

Total Goals Facts

  • Each of the Oilers’ last six night games at Crypto.com Arena following a road loss have gone OVER the total goals line.
  • Each of the Kings’ last four home games against Western Conference opponents have gone OVER the total goals line.
  • Seven of the last eight Wednesday games at Crypto.com Arena have gone UNDER the total goals line.
  • The ‘Over 1.5 Goals Period 1′ market has hit in four of the Kings’ last five games.
  • The ‘Over 1.5 Goals Period 2′ market has hit in 10 of the Oilers’ last 11 road games against Pacific Division opponents.

The teams have traded wins in the past few years, as each recorded five in the previous ten H2H encounters. The Kings were better in four of the last five, all of which were played this season, including Game 1 of this series. The Kings are fantastic at home and have a 1-0 lead, but I am backing the Oilers because if they go to a 2-0 hole, I don’t think they will find the way out. Edmonton scored five goals against the second-best defense, so it’s evident the Oilers know how to score against Los Angeles. The visitors won’t let the Kings take a big lead like in Game 1, and it’s going to be a much closer tilt from the start. I am giving a slight advantage to Draisaitl, McDavid, and co.

Kings vs Oilers Injury Report

The Kings will be without Tanner Jeannot.

The Edmonton Oilers will be without Alec Regula, Mattias Ekholm, John Klingberg, Troy Stecher, and Evander Kane. Trent Frederic is questionable.

Kings vs Oilers Prediction

The Oilers have the talent to win this game and series, and they’re going to be up for the playoffs after coming up short last year in the cup finals. It’s title or bust for Edmonton. However, the Kings have been ridiculously good at home this season where they’ve won 31 games, and they’re not a team I’m excited to step in front of on their home ice.

The Kings have also beaten the Oilers twice this season, outscoring them 8-0 in those games. It’s the home dominance that has me leaning toward the Kings in this spot, especially with the cheap price. The Oilers have also lost seven of their last 10 playoff games as an underdog. Give me the Kings and the cheap price.

In this article, we will formulate a Sharks vs Oilers prediction for this NHL game on Wednesday, April 16, at SAP Center in San Jose, CA. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this NHL matchup.

Edmonton Oilers Betting Preview

The Edmonton Oilers (47-29-5, 29-52 ATS) were on a three-game winning streak as they beat the Blues, Sharks, and Jets, but couldn’t make it four in a row after losing 5-0 to the Los Angeles Kings and therefore, lost the chance to secure the second place in the Pacific Division. Instead, Edmonton will be third and will meet the Kings in the first round of the playoffs, but L.A. will have a home-ice advantage.

The Oilers average 3.16 goals per game this year (11th), while they allow 2.90 GPG (15th). Leon Draisaitl leads the team with 106 points (52 G and 54 A). Connor McDavid contributes 99 points (26 G and 73 A), while Evan Bouchard has 67 points (14 G and 53 A).

Calvin Pickard (22-10-1) will likely take his place in the cage for the Oilers on Wednesday against the Sharks. The 33-year-old is allowing 2.71 goals per game this year with a .900 SV% and no shutouts.

San Jose Sharks Betting Preview

The San Jose Sharks (20-49-12, 48-33 ATS) are going through their worst period of the season after losing ten games in a row. The Stars returned home from a four-game road trip on which they lost to the Wild, Oilers, Flames, and Canucks. San Jose is the worst team in the NHL and at the bottom of the Western Conference with 52 points.

The Sharks score 2.57 goals per game on average (31st), while they concede 3.79 GPG (32nd). This season, Macklin Celebrini leads the team with 63 points (25 G and 38 A). William Eklund has 58 points (17 G and 41 A), while Tyler Toffoli chips in with 54 points (30 G and 24 A).

Alexandar Georgiev (15-25-4) is expected to start for the Sharks at the goal on Wednesday against the Oilers. The 29-year-old is allowing 3.74 goals per game this year with a .874 SV% and no shutouts.

Total Goals Facts

  • Each of the Oilers’ last six night games against Pacific Division opponents have gone UNDER the total goals line.
  • Five of the last six night games between the Oilers and Sharks at SAP Center at San Jose have gone UNDER the total goals line.
  • Four of the last five night games between two teams from the Pacific Division have gone UNDER the total goals line.
  • The ‘Over 1.5 Goals Period 1′ market has hit in 10 of the Oilers’ last 11 games as favorites against the Sharks.
  • The ‘Over 1.5 Goals Period 1’ market has hit in each of the last five games between the Oilers and Sharks.

Matchup/League Facts

  • The San Jose Sharks rank 28th in the league in penalty kill percentage this season (74.02%).
  • The San Jose Sharks rank 25th in the league in power play percentage this season (18.75%).
  • The Edmonton Oilers rank T3rd in the league in short-handed goals allowed this season (4).
  • The Edmonton Oilers rank 29th in the league for Period 3 goals scored per game this season (0.93).

Sharks vs Oilers Prediction

The Oilers won nine of the previous ten H2H encounters, including the last five. This season, the Oilers won all three meetings and have a chance to sweep the series with a win on Wednesday. The Sharks are perhaps the worst team in hockey this year, but will try to conclude the season with a home victory. I believe the Oilers will rest McDavid and Draisaitl, but that doesn’t mean they can’t score four or five goals here. Both sides will be relaxed and will not worry much about the defense. I am going with Over.

The Los Angeles Kings and Edmonton Oilers meet on Monday in NHL action at Rogers Place. Here’s an Oilers vs Kings Prediction. This article will include an Oilers vs Kings Pick.

Los Angeles Kings Betting Preview

The Los Angeles Kings beat the Ducks and Avalanche, and they play the Kraken and Flames next. The Kings have won 15 of their last 19 games.

The Los Angeles Kings are averaging 3 goals per game and are scoring 17.1 percent of their power play opportunities. Kevin Fiala leads Los Angeles with 34 goals, Anze Kopitar has 44 assists, and Adrian Kempe has 228 shots on goal. Defensively, the Los Angeles Kings are allowing 2.44 goals per game and are killing 81.8 percent of their opponent’s power plays. Darcy Kuemper has given up 100 goals on 1,251 shots faced, while David Rittich has allowed 78 goals on 703 shots.

Edmonton Oilers Betting Preview

The Edmonton Oilers beat the Blues, Sharks, and Jets, and they play the Sharks next. The Oilers have won six of their last eight games.

The Edmonton Oilers are averaging 3.2 goals per game and are scoring 24.6 percent of their power play opportunities. Leon Draisaitl leads Edmonton with 52 goals, Connor McDavid has 73 assists, and Evan Bouchard has 231 shots on goal. Defensively, the Edmonton Oilers are allowing 2.88 goals per game and are killing 78.1 percent of their opponent’s power plays. Stuart Skinner has given up 138 goals on 1,307 shots faced, and Calvin Packard has allowed 80 goals on 813 shots.

Why the Edmonton Oilers will win

  • The Oilers have won nine of their last 10 home games against Pacific Division opponents.
  • The Kings have lost seven of their last eight games at Rogers Place.
  • The Kings have failed to cover the puck line in each of their last four games at Rogers Place following a win.
  • The Oilers have covered the puck line in each of their last four night games against opponents on a winning streak.
  • The Kings have lost the third period in each of their last eight road games when trailing after the second period.

Why the Los Angeles Kings will win

  • The Kings have won four of their last five games as underdogs following a home win.
  • The Oilers have lost six of their last nine games as home favorites on the second leg of a back-to-back.
  • The Kings have covered the puck line in each of their last five games against the Oilers.
  • The Oilers have failed to cover the puck line in each of their last four games as home favorites against opponents on a winning streak.
  • The Kings have won the third period in 10 of their last 11 games against the Oilers when leading after the second period.

Matchup/League Facts

  • The Los Angeles Kings rank 28th in the league in power-play percentage this season (17.10%).

Oilers vs Kings Injury Report

The Edmonton Oilers will be without Alec Regula, Jake Walman, Mattias Ekholm, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Zach Hyman, Trent Frederic, Leon Draisaitl, John Klingberg, and Evander Kane. Troy Stecher is questionable.

The Kings will be without Tanner Jeannot, while Joel Edmundson and Drew Doughty are questionable.

Oilers vs Kings Prediction

You can make a case for either of these contenders, as the Oilers and Kings have been great all season. The issue is that we’re getting a true pick’em price, so I have to lean toward the Oilers at home. The Kings aren’t nearly the same team on the road as they are at home, as it’s where 19 of their 24 losses have come this season. The Oilers are coming off a strong week of three straight wins where the offense has found success.

The Oilers are dealing with endless injuries, but the firepower is still there. Also, the Oilers have won seven of the last 10 games against the Kings. Give me some plus money, and I’d consider the Kings. At this price, I have to side with the Oilers on their home ice.

In this article, we will formulate a Jets vs Oilers Prediction for this NHL game on Sunday, April 13th, at the Amerant Bank Arena. Let’s take a look at a Winnipeg Jets vs Edmonton Oilers pick.

Oilers Keep Winning

The Oilers just keep winning games, and they have won two in a row. Two games ago, against the St. Louis Blues, they won 4-3, and in the last game against the San Jose Sharks, they picked up the 4-2 victory. Connor McDavid had another huge game, and he had four assists. Calvin Pickard was in goal and saved 22 of the 24 shots he faced. In this game, the goaltending is going to need to be strong again.

The Oilers are averaging 3.19 goals, while their defense is giving up 2.89 goals per game. The offense is ranked 11th while the defense is ranked 14th. They are the top-ranked team in terms of shots per game at over 32 per game. Stuart Skinner is expected to get the start for the Oilers in goal, and he sits with a 24-18-4 record, and he’s giving up 2.91 goals per game. The Oilers have lost two of his last three starts.

Why the Oilers Will Beat the Jets

  • The Oilers have won each of their last four games as road underdogs against Central Division opponents.
  • The Jets have lost eight of their last nine games after coming off a shootout.
  • The Oilers have covered the puck line in 11 of their last 12 games as underdogs against the Jets.
  • The Jets have failed to cover the puck line in seven of their last eight night games after coming off a shootout.
  • The Jets have lost the first period in each of their last five games following a road win.

Jets Have Their Work Cut Out for Them

A win is a win, but the Jets didn’t look exactly dominant on Saturday. They faced off against the Chicago Blackhawks, and it took all the way until a shootout before they were able to secure the win. At the end of the first period the Jets were actually down 2-0 and they had to fight all the way back to even pick up the two points. Connor Hellebuyck wasn’t dominant and he saved 28 of the 32 shots that he faced.

The Jets are averaging 3.4 goals per game, while their defense is giving up 2.3 goals per game. The offense is ranked third, while the defense is ranked first. Eric Comrie will start for the Jets. He has a 9-9-1 record and gives up 2.36 goals per game. In his last start against the Vegas Golden Knights, he saved all 26 of the shots that he faced.

Why the Jets Will Beat the Oilers

  • The Jets have won 16 of their last 17 night games at Canada Life Centre following an overtime win.
  • The Oilers have lost three of their last four games at Canada Life Centre against opponents on a winning streak.
  • The Jets have covered the puck line in five of their last six home games against Western Conference opponents.
  • The Oilers have failed to cover the puck line in five of their last six night games at Canada Life Centre.
  • The Oilers have lost the third period in each of their last four games at Canada Life Centre when leading after the second period.

Jets vs Oilers Prediction

The Jets and Oilers are going to be involved in a lower scoring game. The Jets are on tired legs and their offense is going to really struggle to get going here. Skinner is getting the start for the Oilers and he’s been good all season. With tired legs, the Jets are going to have some major issues. I also believe Comrie can find success, and he’s going to follow up the last game where he found success with another strong game. 2-1 or 3-1 type of game. Back the under to end up being the play.

In this article, we will formulate an Oilers vs Sharks prediction for this NHL game on Friday, April 11th at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this NHL matchup.

Edmonton Oilers Betting Preview

The Edmonton Oilers are 45-28-5 this year after they defeated St. Louis by a score of 4-3 in their last game. Edmonton allowed the Blues to tie the game on two separate occasions in the third period, but they scored with about 20 seconds left in regulation for the win. The Oilers were outshot by a total of 26-23, won 39.7% of the face-offs, and went 0-2 on the power play in the game. Edmonton got goals from Arvidsson, Brown (2), and Podkolzin, while Pickard stopped 23 out of 26 shots in the win.

Prior to that game, the Oilers lost to the Ducks by a score of 3-2 and the Kings by a score of 3-0. Edmonton has won four of their last six games, and they are currently third in the Pacific standings with 95 points. Edmonton has scored 3.18 goals per game, and they have allowed 2.91 goals against per game, while also going 24.4% on the power play and 78.1% on the penalty kill this season. Leon Draisaitl is the leading scorer for Edmonton, but he is out with an injury, while McDavid has added 26 goals, 67 assists, and 187 shots on goal. Calvin Pickard is 21-9-1 with a 2.65 goals against average and a .901 save percentage this season.

San Jose Sharks Betting Preview

The San Jose Sharks are 20-47-11 this season after they lost to Minnesota in overtime by a score of 8-7 in their last game. San Jose trailed 7-4 in the third period, but they stormed back to tie the game before losing in overtime. The Sharks were outshot by a total of 44-31, won 46.8% of the face-offs, and went 0-0 on the power play in the game. San Jose got goals from Celebrini (3), Grundstrom, Kovalenko, Smith, and Toffoli, while Georgiev stopped 36 out of 44 shots in the game.

Prior to that overtime loss, the Sharks lost to the Flames by a score of 3-2 and the Kraken by a score of 5-1. San Jose has lost seven games in a row, and they are currently last in the Pacific standings with 51 points. San Jose has scored 2.60 goals per game, and they have allowed 3.80 goals per game, while also going 18.9% on the power play and 74.8% on the penalty kill this season. Macklin Celebrini has led San Jose with 24 goals, 38 assists, and 226 shots on goal, while William Eklund has added 17 goals, 39 assists, and 141 shots on goal. Alexandar Georgiev is 7-18-3 with a 4.03 goals against average and an .870 save percentage for the Sharks this year.

Why the Oilers will beat the Sharks

  • The Sharks have lost each of their last 13 games against Pacific Division opponents.
  • The Oilers have won each of their last 10 games against the Sharks following a win.
  • The Oilers have covered the puck line in each of their last four games at Rogers Place following a win.
  • The Sharks have lost the third period in each of their last eight games as underdogs against Western Conference opponents when leading after the second period.

Total Goals Facts

  • Each of the Oilers’ last six games as home favorites following a home win have gone UNDER the total goals line.
  • Each of the Sharks’ last six road games after coming off overtime have gone OVER the total goals line.
  • Five of the last six games between two teams from the Pacific Division have gone UNDER the total goals line.
  • The ‘Over 1.5 Goals Period 2′ market has hit in each of the Oilers’ last 13 games following a home win.
  • The ‘Over 1.5 Goals Period 2′ market has hit in each of the Sharks’ last 11 night games at Rogers Place.

Edmonton Oilers Player Prop Facts

  • Leon Draisaitl has recorded at least one point in each of his last 14 appearances against Pacific Division opponents.
  • Jeff Skinner has scored at least one goal in eight of his last 10 appearances against the Sharks.
  • Evan Bouchard has recorded an assist in each of the Oilers’ last nine games as home favorites.

San Jose Sharks Player Prop Facts

  • Macklin Celebrini has recorded at least one point in each of the Sharks’ last four games.
  • William Smith has scored at least one goal in each of the Sharks’ last three games.
  • Macklin Celebrini has recorded at least one assist in each of the Sharks’ last four games as underdogs against Western Conference opponents.

Oilers vs Sharks Prediction

Edmonton comes into this matchup as a huge favorite to get the win, and they should have no issues here. The Oilers are 24-12-3 at home this year, while the Sharks are 8-21-9 on the road. San Jose has lost seven games in a row, and they are allowing 3.80 goals per game this season. Edmonton went through some struggles in the absence of McDavid, but he is back now, and the offense looked solid against St. Louis last time out. The Oilers should be very focused in this game, as they are trying to catch the Kings in the Pacific, and I like them to cover the -2.5 here.

In this article, we will formulate an Oilers vs Blues prediction for this NHL game on Wednesday, April 9th at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this NHL matchup.

Edmonton Oilers Betting Preview

St. Louis Blues Betting Preview

The St. Louis Blues are 43-29-7 this year after they lost to Winnipeg by a score of 3-1 in their last game. St. Louis tied the game at one in the second period but allowed two goals in the third for the loss. The Blues were outshot by a total of 26-15, won 52% of the face-offs, and went 0-2 on the power play in the game. Oilers vs Blues Prediction

Both of these teams come into this matchup with a six-point cushion to make the postseason, but Edmonton is dealing with some key injuries. The Oilers are 23-12-3 at home this year, while the Blues are 20-15-4 on the road. St. Louis had their long winning streak snapped by the Jets in their last game, but they are back in the playoffs (for now) and have a ton of confidence. We have seen Edmonton score three goals or fewer in five straight games, and their offense has struggled without their top two scorers, so I like the under in this game.

Ducks vs Oilers Prediction

The Ducks have upset the Oilers in two of the last three meetings, which includes a win about a month ago as a near +300 underdog. However, the Ducks have nothing to play for at this stage, with them already eliminated from playoff contention. The Oilers are injured, but they’ve still managed to win games here and there and are still more talented than a lot of teams in this league. The Ducks are coming off two straight ugly losses where the defense hasn’t shown up. Not ideal when going up against a team as explosive as Edmonton. Give me the Oilers and the reasonable price.

Edmonton Oilers Betting Preview

The Edmonton Oilers (44-26-5, 27-48 ATS) are close to securing the playoff spot after winning the last three games. Edmonton beat the Calgary Flames at home in overtime and then opened a four-game road trip with wins over the Golden Knights and Sharks. The Oilers are 3rd in the Pacific Division Standings with 93 points, two behind the Kings and five behind the first-placed Golden Knights.

The Oilers average 3.23 goals per game this year (11th), while they allow 2.91 GPG (14th). Leon Draisaitl leads the team with 106 points (52 G and 54 A). Connor McDavid contributes 90 points (26 G and 64 A), while Evan Bouchard has 62 points (13 G and 49 A).

Los Angeles Kings Betting Preview

The Los Angeles Kings (43-23-9, 37-38 ATS) are in excellent form lately, as they won 12 of the previous 15 games. The Kings are on a three-game winning streak after defeating the Sharks, Jets, and Hockey Club. They will spend the next four games at home. Los Angeles is 2nd in the Pacific Division Standings with 95 points, three behind the leaders Golden Knights.

The Kings score 2.96 goals per game on average (17th), while they concede 2.48 GPG (2nd). This season, Adrian Kempe leads the team with 63 points (33G and 30 A). Anze Kopitar has 62 points (19 G and 43 A), while Kevin Fiala chips in with 51 points (29 G and 22 A).

Darcy Kuemper (27-10-7) is expected to start for the Kings at the goal on Saturday against the Oilers. The 34-year-old is allowing 2.08 goals per game this year with a .920 SV% and four shutouts.

Why the Kings will beat the Oilers

  • The Kings have won 10 of their last 11 home games against opponents on a winning streak.
  • The Kings have covered the puck line in 11 of their last 12 day games at Crypto.com Arena against opponents on a winning streak.
  • The Oilers have failed to cover the puck line in seven of their last eight day games.

  • The Edmonton Oilers rank T1st in the league in short-handed goals allowed this season (3).
  • The Edmonton Oilers rank T1st in the league for Period 2 goals scored per game this season (1.29).

Kings vs Oilers Prediction

The Oilers won seven of the previous ten H2H encounters, including four of the last five, while the series is tied at 1-1 this season. Both teams have played well recently, but I am giving an advantage to the Kings because the Oilers are coming to L.A. without their best two players – Draisaitl and McDavid. Two of them combined for nearly 200 points this season, so I think Edmonton will struggle offensively against one of the best defenses and best home teams in the NHL. The Kings have hit the Moneyline in 32 of their last 43 games at home. I am backing the Kings to win and secure the playoffs.

Sharks vs Oilers Prediction

Edmonton comes into this matchup after a nice win over Vegas in their last game, and they are trying to catch the Kings for second in the division. The Oilers are 20-14-2 on the road this year, while the Sharks are 12-23-2 at home. San Jose has lost five of their last seven games, and they have allowed a total of 23 goals in their last four games.
